Nerf? I mean don't get me wrong, it's very annoying, but by the time my empire is big enough for it to be frequent, the piety loss is usually pretty irrelevant. Just don't be humble lol.
I am not talking about the debuffs, I am talking about having to click the window away seven or eight times every minute because there is always a plague happening somewhere in the empire. It makes it so annoying I just stopped playing wide now.
I was wondering why I wasn't getting the joke - I'm on a tall run with well developed counties with high resistance, so plagues are a pain for legitimacy but not much else.
Well developed meaning 'Have fully upgraded buildings (and extra slot innovations early)' not merely "high development score."
My castles and cities all have maxed out hospices, my temples both hospices & monasteries.
Snap. In my latest run, I held Duchy of Valois the entire game, maxed out buildings in every holding, a hospice in each holding, turning over 500 gold per turn. I still got relentlessly spammed by the nonsense plague events.
Its the opposite for me. The shear spam of plague prompts means that pretty much my only prompts are plague prompts meaning the AI cant think of anything else, no new religions that pop up. And since im doing a double build, wide with tall culture. My core lands are super charged while my vassals are all severely weakened by plague.
Even then, the More Game Rules mod allows you to change almost any game rule while keeping achievements enabled. You don’t even have to use the game rules it comes with - though they’re mostly just vanilla game rules with more customizability
Paradox has built in plague acceleration for those who don't have the dlc (200% for minor, 150% for medium and 100% for major plagues)
Thankfully someone on steam workshop has made a mod to negate these.
Check again, I sent it yesterday (looking at the messages right now). You probably need to accept the chat invite.
the workshop item is called "No Epidemics Punishment for not owning Legends of the Dead DLC"
Ah I do see it now, it wasnt showing up on mobile but it's there on desktop, cheers. From looking at it a bit, it looks like it's not for any nefarious reason, but because legends of the dead introduces more plagues overall, so it serves as an equalizer so that people with the DLC don't have more plagues than people without it.
I was wondering that even though I have a Court Physician, if I bring in more physicians, herbalists etc into my court, shouldn’t my overall societal health / disease resistance improve?
How about you pay me 450 gold and I'll give you such a massive bunch of flowers that they'll obscure your screen and you won't see the comments anymore?
As a humble person, this post stresses me out.
Why? I’m genuinely curious and don’t understand
humble trait gives stress with this response, lol
Ah, lmao
Don’t be zealous either. Super stress cascade
Humble and shy same character sucks
this event on its own is the biggest nerf to playing wide I have ever seen in a paradox game

Higher development increases plague susceptibility.

this. Also the fucking "prone to plague" debuff is obnoxious

> there is always a plague happening somewhere in the empire Last time I checked, I had about 12 or 13 diseases in the pop-up...
Why not just turn the plague frequency down? Achievements? Better than not playing at all IMO

all new Spam DLC
Why? Its annoying to click it away but thats that.
Take a soft approach
I also have hundreds of hours and I have no idea what ops referencing
Good
Yes.
Never has been 🔫
Hospices?
You could build a Hospice into each county: And it doesn't need to be your holdings, it can be Church or Town holdings too.
"Are there no sick houses?" is one of the event options during an epidemic outbreak.
And to my knowledge, it appears if you don't have enough hospices...
Isolate the capital
I don’t think so. I believe development and your doctor affect disease resistance but I could be wrong
The major thing that affects your disease resistance is purchasing Legends Of The Dead.
How? Plagues aren’t part of the dlc

What? Is there a source somewhere for that? That’s insane if it’s true. So insane I just do not believe it if there isn’t evidence.
I'm pming you because I can't put a screenshot in a comment
Still waiting on that pm :/ I can’t even find the workshop mod you mentioned.

It’s just a dog…
There is
this shit is so annoying, pretty much all plague related stuff is so annoying.

An excellent idea!
Damn so annoying windows in this game same windows shows up all the time.
The spam of people complaining about this event on the sub is as bad as the spam of the event in game.
