it’s definitely slag or atleast some type of glass. this is not a rock or mineral. you can just tell by zooming in, the composition isnt right and there aren’t enough inclusions for it to be a stone.

I bought a bunch of citrine rough from India, and I received large chunks of yellow glass. I contacted the seller and asked why he scammed me. His reply was, "well, I need money for my family - so please don't report me; it might have been glass, but at least I sent you something".
😂😂😂😂😂Hahahahaha "at least I sent you something"
Sorry for your lost money, but I find this very funny for some reason.
Did you report him? The way he phrased it "I need money for my family" would make me very conflicted even if I know he is probably earning quite a bit.
Yep i been ripped off by Indians many times.Had one rip himself off.Sent me goods gave me bank details $ return back to me.He gave me another account same thing.Apparently he wasnt a registered business so money couldnt be accepted. He had no paypal. Was asking me to send cash in the mail lol.
At first I was looking to see if it looks like baked amethyst since that’s what a lot of fake citrine is, but then I thought “no doesn’t look like amethyst, if anything… it kinda looks like glass”
Am I the only one that thinks it looks like glass
No, I’m with you. Kinda looks like slag to me.

Looks like glass to me too.
It's also green in the photos...
Those fractures are 100% glass.

No, sir. Thou art not.
the way those fractures are shaped, it looks like slag glass that has been broken off a larger chunk.
I bloody knew it
Anybody else feel like screaming and pulling their hair out?
Yes.
Yes.
Fake - Natural Citrine isn't greenish
Nor is it overly yellow (aka heated amethyst)
Came here to say this.
Not at all accurate, citrine can be greenish-https://www.mindat.org/min-1054.html
That looks dark yellow to me.
It’s greyish yellow green.
Dude that’s yellow with brown undertones not green
It literally says yellowish-green in the description my guy.
Its like olive so win-win
True, was just pointing out they can be greenish as the description said lol. The post definitely isn’t a citrine.
Glass.
I’ve got a big bag of slag glass at home for tumbling. It looks exactly like this
Glass all the way! Can tell by the conchoidal fracturing
100% fake sorry op
edit to say selling that as citrine is criminal
The color is kinda right! But the fracturing indicates glass. Sorry!
OP don’t be afraid to drop the name of the shop where you got it. We just want a friendly chat with them 😈 😂.
really fake
it looks like glass to me
I'm not sure, the light you're using makes it look either a bit greenish or is naturally a bit green.
this is either glass or quartz
It is more likely Lemon (irridated) Quartz. It is still lovely though. :)
Slag.
Can I see it on a piece of white paper?
Fake.
Glass slag
I thought citrine was supposed to only be yellow, orange and white, not green. Looks kind of like green crackle quartz.
It sounds like you’re describing HTA
Looks like peridot to me
I have some golden appetite that looks like this and apparently it does come with a slight green tint too.
Watermelon tourmaline
It's not citrine. Looks more like green quartz
