I am an Adrian, I have hated this name all my life, it is a gay comedy name - just about every time I have heard my name in media, the character is either gay, or it's used in a routine. But the irony is that I am a silly gay goose IRL.
A couple of weeks ago, I'm in bed with my husband and I don't remember what I did, but he just paused a couple of beats and said
"not everything has to be funny Adrian".
If it helps, I think Adrian is a beautiful, regal, yet modest name. It's reminiscent of the name of an Emperor of Rome, Hadrian. The name can be traced further back to the Etruscan community of Adria which is where we get the name of the northernmost arm of water in the Mediterranean, the Adriatic Sea.
I've only ever heard musicians talk about it, but there's nothing about the concept that's inherently music-specific. After all, people can and do use all manner of sounds and noises in music, and can audiate them when composing or remembering a piece

that video helped me learn so much back when they showed it to us in school in the '90s. if Luigi wasn't there with his big heaping spaghetti pile of informacioné then I don't know where I would've ended up today. shame Nintendo got in so much trouble for it
My fiancé has a handful of relatively tame pet names like "darling" and several Italian/Yiddish/Swiss variants of "my love", but I like to get creative. It's not that he has any less affection for me, quite the opposite. It's more a question of love language. In my view, he is a Warrior, Master, Sage, Lover and all-around Knight who deserves to be showered with praise at every opportunity.
This post made me stare at the ceiling for 5 minutes with a deep yearning in my heart.
