X-Men: Marvel Snapshots is a great kind of modern introduction / Cyclops origin story. Definitely worth checking out.
If you are looking for more young Cyclops, X-men: Season One is a more modern oneshot of like the 60's era / team. It also probably is a good primer for the Bendis All-New era where the teen 05 team are brought to the then present day 616. Think the reading order for teen Cyclops in that would be: All-New X-men (Bendis) > Cyclops (Ruck) > All-New X-men (Hopeless) > X-men Blue (Bunn).
X-men evolution is very good, give it a chance, apart from that well all new x-men. As for the 60s stuff, yeah some of it is very campy so if you want to read it do it slowly
Season One, First Class, Marvels Snapshots:X-men for building Scott into who he is today.
All New X-Men, X-Men Bljue, Champions and his solo by Greg Rucka for time displaced Scott (Tykeclops) is also a wondeful glimpse into young Scott.
There’s a trilogy mini-series called X-Men First Class that takes place in the O5 era. It’s pretty good.
Excellent series by Jeff Parker!!
His time on Champions is brilliant. Just start with issue one since he joins the next issue.

Cyclops' solo series was about him as a teen displaced in time hanging out with his dad in space. It was great.
