Big Barda and Scott Free. Barda if I can only choose one. But I can’t think of one without the other.
And they’re not only my favorite Kirby DC characters, they’re my favorite Kirby characters in general.
After much deliberation and time, I have decided that my favourite is the one who speaks in rhyme.
Etrigan the Demon is his name, and his reputation proceeds his fame.
For sheer fascinating interest… Darkseid. A *great* villain, perhaps the very best one he ever created.
But my personal favorite is one not very many know: Ben Boxer.
Btw, my all time favorite Jack Kirby story (and this goes across companies) is found in *New Gods* #6: “The Glory Boat”.
Mythology writ large. A *stunning* piece of work!
Did you know about the **Bug! The Adventures of Forager** mini-series? It was a fun story, I thought.

Either darkseid or metron. Maybe metron. Because he's technically neither from New genesis or apokalips. That makes him super interesting to start with, then he has the mobius chair SOMEHOW, and an irresistible thirst for knowledge.
In my head I like to think of metron as some sort of lovecraftian entity that cares not for morality, only knowledge, and finds posing as a new God to be convenient for his goals.
Probably Darkseid, Big Barda, and Mister Miracle.
I also have a soft spot for Jack Kirby and Joe Simon's Golden Age work, especially the Boy Commandos.
I also love the Manhunter design he introduced of the red costume and blue face, which DC has used a lot over the years for vaguely connected characters.

I don't know why, but I really like Metron. He just sits in his chair, observing the universe, learning all that he can, usually not involving himself in anything.
Actually, that sounds like I just described myself...

You have taken my exact thoughts and laid them out for me. Big Barda is the best; She's big. She's Barda.
They are couple goals.
The 2nd worst name in comics behind Granny Goodness
Yeah, but she makes up for it by being awesome. She's really making the current Birds of Prey series for me.
After much deliberation and time, I have decided that my favourite is the one who speaks in rhyme. Etrigan the Demon is his name, and his reputation proceeds his fame.
Your flavor pallet of character meshes with mine Upon which of his stories shall we dine? Form of man becomes lost again Arise the demon ETRIGAN
# Etrigan The Demon or Darkseid
**Mr. Miracle** & **Big Barda**, hands down, followed by Orion, Lightray, & Metron
Darkseid is.
*bites into carrot from veggie platter*
Barda.
For sheer fascinating interest… Darkseid. A *great* villain, perhaps the very best one he ever created. But my personal favorite is one not very many know: Ben Boxer. Ben Boxer is a great choice.
Orion, the Doom-slayer before Doom was ever a thing.
Second this- Orion’s my boy. DC’s Dog of War for the win 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Kamandi or Granny Goodness
Darkseid
Darkseid is
Etrigan
Kalibak! I’ve always had a soft spot for comic-book big dumb brutes :)
Mr Miracle
I think Kamandi! Cool design.
Do I even need to say it?
Mister Miracle/Big Barda. Can’t really separate the two . I also like Forager but he isn’t used much
Did you know about the **Bug! The Adventures of Forager** mini-series? It was a fun story, I thought. https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Bug!_The_Adventures_of_Forager_Vol_1?so=search
Yes I read that. It’s a good series
Gone gone the form of man Arise the demon ETRIGAN
There are so many but my favorite is absolutely the demon Etrigan followed closely by Scott Free
Kamandi for sure. His series was Kirby's greatest work imo. Then Barda and rounding it off with Etrigan.
Kamandi
OMAC.
Darkseid
Darkseid. He's one of my favorite DC villains of all time.
Can I say Jimmy Olsen? He existed before Kirby, but Kirby helped make him memorable.
Darkseid is.
Darkseid!
![gif](giphy|gLFZv6jaenbbo1Q0F1|downsized) Darkseid of course
Darkseid Is…..
Orion. He's such a cool and complex character. It's a shame that he gets stereotyped as a raging asshole.
Kamandi
I'll start: Mine is Darkseid. He's the ultimate baddy and was an inspiration for both Thanos and Apocalypse from Marvel comics.
Klarion the Witch Boy
Granny Goodness, I guess.
Barda all day for me. Valkyra and Orion next.
Definitely Barda
Either darkseid or metron. Maybe metron. Because he's technically neither from New genesis or apokalips. That makes him super interesting to start with, then he has the mobius chair SOMEHOW, and an irresistible thirst for knowledge. Darkseid, Orion, Steppenwolf and Kalibak.
Darkseid and Orion
Mr. Miracle as he is the world's greatest escape artist.
Machine Man.

Oddman
Odd Man was actually created by Steve Ditko. Otherwise, I'd say he's my favorite too.
Marvel or DC? That guy was all over the place.
Orion, Big Barda, Darkseid
Mister Miracle
Granny Goodness
Darkseid 2nd would be Mr Miracle
Obviously Darkseid
Darkseed sn lol Darkseid though
I actually always really liked Jim Harper, aka the Guardian.
I don't know why, but I really like Metron. He just sits in his chair, observing the universe, learning all that he can, usually not involving himself in anything. Actually, that sounds like I just described myself...
Who is the man to the left of Orion who has a flaming head and a shepherd's crook?
Takion, he's a post-Kirby addition.
Thanks
Iron man I like dc more than marvel but iron man is in my top 5 favorite superhero’s oat
Lightray.
Orion is pretty great, I love bloodthirsty but noble people.
Orion
Hey has there ever been a villain from new genesis? Like how Barda and Miracle are heroes from Apokolips.
The Furies! ❤️🔥
Big Barda my beloved
My mind says Etrigan, the rhyming mass. My heart says Big Barda, large of ass.
Darkseid or Etrigan.
Absorbing Man, Juggernaut, Etrigan, X-Men The list is just too long…
It’s the Hulk I guess because the Hulk is my favorite character. Favorite DC character is Darkseid.
