GrimHilarity

No, and thank god. That would be overkill. Their Infinite Mass Punches would shatter entire universes.

illymays

As if that hasn't happened before WITHOUT the speed force...*cough* Superboy *cough*

GrimHilarity

True, but if they made a Kryptonian Speed Force character it'd be happening every other issue.

illymays

Nah, I got what you were saying. I was just joking and commenting on the ridiculousness of something like a character being able to literally "punch the universe" having actually happened in prior canon.

GrimHilarity

Lol. Yeah, I know and it's insane. Jason Todd owes Superboy Prime a debt of gratitude.

mateogg

If only there was a great writer famously good at Flash, Superman, and Multiverse stuff... WAIT.

Dredeuced

I mean, a Kryptonian doing that would be no different from a human doing it.

Hydroel

And here I was, thinking that a kryptonian-like Green Lantern was enough :D

Hush19XX

Daxamites!! love that idea

Hydroel

[* coughs *](http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Sodam_Yat_%28New_Earth%29)

Hush19XX

hahah i was intending to reference that guy and saying i love the idea of him but i worded it stupidly :P

Hydroel

Well, I think a kryptonian/daxamite under a yellow sun is already powerful enough, do they actually need some more powers? In the GL Corps, that makes sense, since they have to cover the whole universe, but on Earth solely, I think that would be far too much.

DrunkNFunky

Even in an imaginary universe, that's cheating. I mean supes can go fast enough to stop the world's rotation.. You're just bring greedy Troy.. /s

lelianadelrey

Well if the Supergirl/Flash crossover gets a little steamy...

[deleted]

Do we call him/her Super Kid Flash

Bigby11

SuperImpulse

[deleted]

YES!

Fancy_Cat3571

Supulse

The Smallville Season 11 comics had Clark temporarily access the Speedforce which increased his speed to higher levels.

sonofaresiii

I'm *fairly* certain it wouldn't matter. The Speed Force doesn't boost your natural speed, it just puts you at a set super speed. In other words, it doesn't add extra speed to your speed, it just puts you up at speed force base level.

ASZapata

Not true. Everyone has a different connection to the Speed Force, and everyone has a different level of Speed. Wally before Speed Force (before he was struck by lightning) is his "base" speed. After speed force, his "base" speed is multiplied almost infinitely. Same goes for Superman. The problem is that his base speed already maxes out at somewhere around light speed... So the speed force on him would pretty much make him God. Although in retrospect, Wally has already achieved the fastest speeds possible, so idk how Supes would be able to top that tbh

sonofaresiii

> his "base" speed is multiplied almost infinitely. Different writers may have interpreted it differently, but no, the interpretations I've seen *do not* multiply your base speed. The speed force doesn't have any connection to your base speed at all. It's more like Shazam calling on the powers of the gods-- when he's shazam, he's just X amount of strong, and that's it. Billy can't lift more weights to make Shazam X+Billy strong, he's still just X strong. Similar with the speed force. Wally/Barry/Thawn/Whomever can't go, like, run track every day to get faster. They're just X fast when they tap into the speed force. Now, some may be faster than others in the speed force, but it's not about their natural speed, it's how the speed force affects them. e: but like I said, the speed force has basically been used however any particular writer wants to use it... so I'm not saying you're wrong at all, just that that's not the interpretations of it I've seen, and I *think* is not the latest n52 interpretation.

ASZapata

To be honest, you could be right. I'm more basing my argument off of Wally's run as Flash, but I haven't even touched any Flash comics since Flash: Rebirth. And yeah, pretty much every writer uses the speed force however they want :P

ContinuumGuy

The idea behind Superman's superspeed (as well as the superspeed of other Kryptonians and the Marvel family) is that his invulnerability and general superness makes him immune to all of the issues of super-speed (like friction), while the Flash and other speedsters need the Speedforce to get around it, right?

waiwode

That matches my understanding -- altered a bit because Captain Marvel/Shazam is specifically channelling the *Speed of Mercury*. It might not seem to matter, but in JSA (I don't know which issue) Black Adam boosted Jay Garrick Flash's speed by lending him some of the *Swiftness of Heru*. Speculation on whether the Speed of Mercury and Swiftness of Heru are connected to the Speed Force (as the borrowing my indicate) can lead only to madness.

ShatterZero

I wonder if Kryptonian invulnerability would help you not get dissolved into the speed force.

neoblackdragon

Well naturally they aren't much faster. Under a yellow sun they have their abilities. The thing is they wouldn't really see much of an enhancement if any unless they were really special. The speedforce is the same for everyone. Speedsters muscles have really little to do with how fast they can go beyond actual movement. It's the invulnerability that would help. Basically it would be like giving Hulk or Thor Iron Man armor. Wouldn't really help them unless they just randomly lost their powers. It might even be like putting Captain America in Iron Man armor. It may help in some areas but for the most part it's like putting in a normal guy.

evilbob2200

I believe the flash temporarily transferred some speedforce to superman once.

superyaseen05

Technically it would be way to overpowered but i mean it could be like daxamites abilities which is like super strength and resistance
