I think its personal preference. A curtain rod would be easier to install, but if you bought rod pocket curtains they may be hard to open and close. A track will be harder to install but will be very to open and close.
I would choose a track that will connect all the corners together, so you can move the curtains all over the gazebo in any pattern.
If you go the curtain rod route I would either make sure you choose curtains with grommets or get curtain rings. And be very picky either way your curtain layout!
Either method I would personally put the curtains on the inside to protect the hardware.
