Sds drill with a chisel bit or tile scraper

Fair_Tangerine1790

Just came here to say the same. SDS with a tile chisel will quickly lift the tiles.

Hammer and bolster

Yes, just try a hammer and bolster first. You may find the come off easily and so there is no need to resort to the SDS.

Your instinct to use the SDS drill with a chisel bit is pretty much spot on, I think. You can get special bits for removing tiles that have a bend in the shank, which will reduce the risk of going through the chipboard behind. ***EDIT:*** *This sort of thing: https://www.screwfix.com/p/armeg-sds-plus-shank-tile-removing-chisel-80mm-x-180mm/89391. Shop around though as you might be able to get cheaper elsewhere.*

Perfect I'll get that otherwise it will take me all year! Thanks.

Yeah, it's the sort of thing I'd look at and think it might be the best £30 I'd spent in a while.

Bang bang

I bought a great thing recently in screwfix. Like a crow bar with a sharp chisel end on it that rips tiles right off. Was only a tenner aswell

SDS drill, or I've found if they aren't really stuck on then a old scraper can be really good as it's alot thinner than a bolster or chisel so can get them off easier.
