DJI used to call it P-GPS mode, renamed it to Normal mode. It's the same and propably just a wrong label bug. The drone shouldn't be any different.

Thank you, this is my first dji I have been flying for 9 years the cheaper drones

Romy_MMX

I have the same problem....

Nearby_Culture_7875

Apparently, the p was used when dji first came out

DJI_Support

Hi there. Thank you for bringing this up. We would like to check and verify some information. Could you tell us which remote controller you are using? Could you provide us with the aircraft and remote controller versions you have? Also, may we know through which method you contacted our support? We look forward to hearing from you.

I have the mini 3 with the screen on the remote.I went through dji store on the app and live chat

Nearby_Culture_7875

Also, I went flying this morning, and the P was showing on normal mode no problems One more question On the range on mini 3, it says 10km is that one way or round trip?

DJI_Support

Thank you for the information. Please be advised that the N mode is equal to the P mode on the new update. Please feel free to use the product. We highly value customer feedback and we will forward this to our relevant team for evaluation. Regarding the 10km, are you referring to the maximum transmission distance in FCC? Please be advised that it is the maximum range which you will still get live feed from the aircraft to the remote controller. It is measured without interference so the actual measurement may vary depending on the environment where you are flying. Thank you for your understanding.

Romy_MMX

It'll never do 10 km and come back. With the DJI mini 3 the max distance you can do, returning home safely, is around 4 km...

Nearby_Culture_7875

Well....... I have a video of my longest flight with return to home safely, and it's past 4 km on stock battery I would love to show you on here but last time post my flight the people in the UK went off on me

Romy_MMX

Well I think it depends on wind and weather. If it is a perfect day you can go far, and pushing it also at 5-6 km... But I think you can't go further wanting to return

Nearby_Culture_7875

I can't wait to get the plus battery, and I will surpass my 13 km with safe return, and I was flying at a altitude of 185feet

I updated today and noticed the same thing but was also having reception issues and was unable to fly very far. I was in the same location I've flown numerous times without reception issues so I wasn't sure if this was related to the mode/update. Hopefully nothing that lingers
