You do realize that we are like 14 years after the conservatorship started and this is where she is in life right now right? She's in a worse state than she was in 2007, at least back then she had a relationship with her family, kids and still had some friends in her life from her childhood. Today she has none of those people in her life nor anyone else aside from hired help, lawyers, doctors and assistants. All this while she is walking around topless with a pillow outside a hotel with a broke ass lowlife criminal, with police and ambulence called on her. They had 14 years to improve her mental health and all they did was completely wreck her mentally, physically and emotionally. Zero positive results from the conservatorship, they couldn't even preserve her net worth, which was something like a measly 60 million dollars the last time I heard about it, which is way below what you would think she would have.

I donāt think any of us know the situation well enough to say if she actually needed it or not. Maybe she just needs to get some help at an inpatient/outpatient treatment facility and then continue with some meds and more treatment on occasion from there, or maybe even just going to therapy on occasion could help her. We donāt know. Conservatorship is pretty extreme.
It's extreme but they don't hand those out lightly in the first place and I think her behavior now demonstrates that she would not willingly get the help she needed on her own and has no intention of doing so for whatever reason

The Chateau rooms are always kind of dingy and filthy. Itās old. Some of the rooms there are shocking, particularly the bungalows. They donāt replace a lot of the original things like rugs or repaint the walls. People stay there for the privacy, exclusivity, and history.
The bungalows are different than the main hotel. I was in a suite about 6 years ago for a party and in a bungalow the year prior. The bungalows were what really shocked me. I was with a friend who was visiting their friend (a very famous musician everyone here would know) and for the price, the place was an absolute hole.
For the exclusivity and price point, most people are going for the privacy and history. If youāre going to spend a āsplurgeā level of money at a hotel, most major cities have much better options. But again, itās entirely dependent on why you want to stay there.

It's hard enough as an adult to navigate the rejection and insecurity and body image issues that comes with the industry, but for sensitive kids without the coping skills, it can essentially train you to chase the validation. That you're good enough, that you're attractive enough, that you're not replaceable. Add in any sort of "bad parents" (Jade Barrymore and the like), too much money, access to beautiful people and parties, and exploitation by hangers' on, and it's a recipe for disaster. I have a couple of friends who were on popular shows as kids (dated one for a bit), and they were great guys , but man... there was definitely an intense need for validation. Iām sure mental illness runs in her family. Her paternal grandmother was in and out of mental institutions when her dad was little and ended up dying by suicide before 30. Iām sure her drug use in her early 20s and getting pregnant back to back accelerated her mental illness to what we see now.
Can be said for a lot of the top young stars of that era. Amanda Bynes, Mary Kate Olsen, Lindsay Lohan, 2 out of 3 stars in Thatās So Raven, Drake Bell, the guy that played Goldsberg in Mighty Ducks. And even further back with Macaulay Culkin, the Coreys, etc. There definitely is a huge problem with poor mental health among child stars.
I feel like it can go even further back than that. Look at what young stars like Shirley Temple and Judy Garland suffered. The industry is just a cesspool. These poor young people donāt stand a chance. š¢
In addition to the predators out there (which are obviously the worst part of the whole deal), actors are generally speaking more sensitive than the average person. You have to be to convincingly step into the shoes of someone else. It's hard enough as an adult to navigate the rejection and insecurity and body image issues that comes with the industry, but for sensitive kids without the coping skills, it can essentially train you to chase the validation. That you're good enough, that you're attractive enough, that you're not replaceable. Add in any sort of "bad parents" (Jade Barrymore and the like), too much money, access to beautiful people and parties, and exploitation by hangers' on, and it's a recipe for disaster. I have a couple of friends who were on popular shows as kids (dated one for a bit), and they were great guys , but man... there was definitely an intense need for validation. With social media these days, if you're not getting validation by your work-- you can just strip ala Britney, and bingo.
