Manhattan Project and Celestial Brewing are my favorite in Dallas. edit: i dont know if celestial has cans but I think they bottle some of their stuff.

boblazaar

Thanks, both of those some cool, interesting brews!

Another great place to get singles of local craft beer is Lonestar Beverages or Craft Beer Cellar Agree on Manhattan Project and Celestial. Celestial and MP both can.

cyrusamigo

Celestial has 16oz cans.

Red gate and half life are the best in Manhattan Project.

Tell her to go to Spec’s on 75 and Walnut hill and have her FaceTime you. They’ve got a huge section of non refrigerated beer that she can choose from. Look live Live Oak Hef, that’s my personal fave.

Manhattan Project Double Half Life. Kroger stocks them in the 19oz cans. My favorite beer on earth!

swamp_donkey89

I had a six pack the other night and it was way too good. I always check the date on the bottom to get the freshest one

Peticolas in the design district and celestial in oak lawn do pretty much only 16 oz cans. There’s a craft beer cellar in Lakewood that carries a lot of the smaller breweries’ stuff if you’re looking for a single stop. Community is great and you should tell her to go for brunch (they only do 12 oz cans). Westlake in deep ellum has some good brews and I’ve heard good things about Vector brewing in lake highlands. Outfit brewing off Stemmons (behind an insurance office) does 16s to-go as well.

Peticolas does the big crowlers so they'll hold up in transit and they're super unique and tasty, they have a ton of stuff in the tap room that they don't distribute otherwise. Depending on where you are, it's worth getting cans from Manhattan project and four corners as well as they're just really good local beers. They do distribute in some spots out of Texas though so it's worth checking to see if they're available where you are before trying to transport. Oak Cliff brewing is great too and I don't believe they distribute anywhere outside of Dallas.

boblazaar

We are in Toronto, so she'll be flying back with cans in her checked bags.

I doubt they distribute that far north then. If you're looking for unique stuff I'd definitely say peticolas and Manhattan project would be my picks. Not a Dallas brew but lone pint yellow rose is from a small brewery that distributes here and it's my favorite IPA out there. You can get Martin House's (Ft Worth brewery) stuff in stores around Dallas too and if you looking real different stuff (pickle beer, breakfast beer etc). Definitely unique but a little unhinged lol
