I'm not partial to nature docs with tons of added sound effects and suggestive editing, but that shot of the spider descending on a thin thread and then pouncing is just utterly amazing. What an great capture (For both the cinematographer and the spider!).
I think we take stuff like this for granted. Like, we see that shot of the spider descending from above and pouncing on his prey, and it’s cool, but I don’t think we can appreciate the reality behind what it takes to make these documentaries. Like, that’s just another spider shot among the hundreds of random spider shots we’ve seen, but imagine how amazing of a catch that must be, live and in the moment, if you’re the one filming and this is your passion.
Some of the most interesting stuff comes after the documentary when they show you how the camera crews achieve shots like this. Takes patience and dedication to a whole new level.
I love jumping spiders! I always try to befriend them when i came across 'em. Too bad the ones here are pretty small and easily scared and ~~ran~~ jumps away :(
Roaming the backroads of Texas with my 3 buddies one night looking for what trouble we could find, we stopped on a lonely road needing to take a whiz. Standing together on the warm black-top with our equipment in hand someone spotted a large tarantula enjoying the heat alongside us. So, what are 4 teen miscreants to do in such a situation? Of course, take a leak on said spider, which Charlie was first to do. His aim was good, but Mr. T did not take kindly to the affront and retaliated by jumping about 3 feet up on Charley’s leg. Still spewing, our friend, screaming in terror from the assault, commenced to spinning in a circle thereby around initiating the rest of us all standing close as he brushed the assaulting creature from his leg. Some spiders can absolutely jump.
The added cartoon sound effects in these are so distracting and fake. That spider doesn’t make clicking Predator noises, whoosh when they move, or boing when they jump. Everything has to be so sensational and over the top these days. Just show us some f*cking nature
I have a weird fear with spider. Can't stand when I see their faces, specially the big ones.
Yet I love Jumping Spiders, even when I see their faces. They're just awesome. They're also really adorable and have tons of personality.
Anyone want to make a jumping spider video game?
Can you make it 3d with a compelling story about how its kids were taken away by a spider boss of some sort like a huge tarantula or a trap door spider?
Maybe add a multiplayer matchmaking with different spiders with different abilities. Trap door, Black widow, jumping, ect
A dumbfuck spider did that in my livingroom once. Decended from the ceiling, then pounced on my forhead. I flinched and hit it at mach speed into the wall, so it ended badly for it, but A for effort nontheless.
A genius, super jumping, spider that eats spiders? I’m both thrilled and terrified.
Now imagine it's the size of a large dog😬
Somewhere in the Spider-verse ...
The movie eight legged freaks had something like this the size of a dog.
Don't worry they are only round about 1 inch and harmless to humans
Clearly you are a 1 inch spider. How long did it take to type that?
Just 5 minutes
Being born an insect is such a bad draw. There's always one shit or the other waiting to brutally murder you
Damn that spider should be in the next mission impossible movie with these super powers.
Hairy little dude is metal

“Call her, ‘Portia.’”
Love the Adrian Tchaikovsky reference.
Am I the only one that think those big beady eyes makes jumping spider look adorably cute?
I, for one, welcome our jumping spider overlords.
Until they put flies in the ice cream.
Its all about love, no matter how many legs they have.
Jump baby jump!
Sound effects are up to date.
Why is it spiders are both so cool and so gross at the same time?
Okaay, who is the funny guy responsible for the sound effects..? : )
What in the world is going on with the bizarre foley work?
Kids and old people love it, they are the only ones that watch nature documentaries. lol
and stoners
I am one of those. Possibly all three
Aaaaaaaaaw fucking hell! Imagine this spider getting the appetite of human blood... New fear: Unlocked 🔓
Nightmare fuel
Not at all
Too much dramatisation as if nature isn’t interesting enough.
Damn, that was REALLY interesting!
Hanus!
Came here to say its Hanuš!
I'm arachnaphobic but I love his little leg wiggle. Dude is groovin
wow... I was on the edge of my seat and rooting for the little jumping spider the entire video!
Porche is a bad ass bitch.
I did not need to watch this but those eyes are just so cute! Now I will try to forget what I saw.

its almost as if this was designed to get children to be interested in science and not aimed at adults... i wonder why that would be?
They're like the John Reacher of the spider world.
Reminds me of that Adam Sandler movie.
I feel so torn because I love spiders.
Where Spaceman tho
Hanus is that you?
New Spiderman villain idea

Attenborough can narrate Jeffrey Dahmer and make him sound like a hero.
Then came my mom's flying sandal
Amazing close ups. Actually a pretty Spider. So deadly and clever.
Portia jumping spider

It’s Hañus
3 times her size (lowers down to spider pretty much the same size)
This is my daughter’s favorite. she watches this everyday. Her fave part was the spider that dances to mate 😆
Terrifying
If helldivers2 2 had these evil geniuses we would be dead.
Actually he was a 4th superpower, its somehow cute out of all of the other spiders
Dawg. When that spider pounced I damn near shat my pants 😭 my nerves, organs, flesh and blood all separated and reconnected in the span of 3 seconds

So, different spiders can get stuck on another spiders' web?
Id grind that mf down
That’s CGI right? Right?
Please stop adding fake sounds when eating or crumbling... " Wörch Wörch " all the time !
