ordering one off dark web amason now

Tossing_Mullet

Order two.  I'm going to need one.   Hunt vipers, you say?  Yep, come on south kitty kitty...I have some water moccasins & ground rattlers that have to GO!

Deadedge112

Their predators can't track them because they don't leave paw prints? I smell bs. Animals track by scent... Humans are the exception.

4ss8urgers

They leave very faint paw prints owing to their wide feet (the fur probably helps) making it difficult to track by large predators according to the [Smithsonian](https://nationalzoo.si.edu/animals/news/can-sand-cats-survive-without-water-and-other-questions-answered)

Deadedge112

I did some googling after this and couldn't find any such behavior documented. Aside from humans, animals rely on scent for tracking, not prints. Birds and humans have great vision, everything else excels at smelling.

Why not post an actual video and credit an author instead of posting some potentially dubious AI narrated clip stream

I don't know, I think maybe domestication would at least raise the numbers, I really hate it when these low population animals suddenly disappear because their little niche enviroment changes in any way. I bet axolotls are gone soon aswell for the same reason

Raiquo

Dear Op, please post the source 😭

wannabesurvivalist

Why is nobody talking about this guys name lol

lizardmeister

“one of the smallest cat and the only one that lives in the desert” “their color patterns are unique among desert dwelling cats” 🤔

tricky-sympathy2

Oh my God! Look at those adorable widdle faces!

-forbiddenkitty-

I think these cats are the predators that rated the highest attempt to kill ratio. They are VERY effective predators.

BloodShadow7872

I wish I could have one as a pet

WholeWideHeart

AI voice over is just about everywhere. It's pretty wild.

Natural_Character521

[Felis margarita](https://animaldiversity.org/accounts/Felis_margarita/) I’m in just for the scientific name of the sand cat. 🐈 🍹 Felis margarita, honors French General Jean Auguste Margueritte, who led the expedition that discovered the species in 1858.
