It’s meant to make some old-ass Edmonton hockey purist irate. It kinda is funny. Not in the laugh out loud way, but thinking of Greg’s musty old photo on a billboard to enrage a bunch of people way up in Edmonton kinda makes me chuckle on the inside.

This was an easy way to do it. I'm not sure who their marketing team is but this is a huge miss on their part. I am hoping this was a bit because woof, Mike is loud wrong about this.
I throw the YouTube live show on while I’m working, and Mike had a sly grin on his face at the one part of that argument with Dan. Like most things on the show, I think Mike IS superstitious in sports but exaggerates it for the bit.
Yah that would make sense. I tend to agree with another poster that, perhaps understandably, a loss would ruin any relationship they have with the Panthers because of the superstitious sports fan. But regardless of who or how the decision was truly made (not the bit), I think Dan was right that win or lose, they would gain a bunch of new eye balls. They were already shouted out during the broadcast for their take.
Mike was right about one thing for sure, Dan wouldn’t do this with the Heat. He’s not putting up a billboard saying we were right before they won the championship. It’s just lack of respect because he doesn’t care about this sport as much, so he’s willing to be more flippant with it.
