There’s not really a specific reason I’m obsessed with it, my brain just kinda decided this would be the thing I care about way too much for the time being. Started happening like immediately after reading the article and I just slowly became more and more obsessed
I felt empathy for the poor D-Class. Him digging, trying to reach the surface while seeing rotting body parts of himself in the dirt, having only Dr. Hallard to talk to...I wish he had a happier ending. :(
Oh my gosh, I just read this for the first time and I cried. That was horrible for the poor D-Class. I am glad that James was the one running the experiment though because you could tell he really cared and wanted to get that guy out, and that he really was sorry when he died. 😢
It reminds me in an odd way of Tachyon Express and the dynamic between McCawley and the inventor.
I read the article, it's another one of those with literally almost nothing in description and containment procedures compared to the testlogs and I don't like that. Test logs were pretty good tho, was expectng it to be better tho. I know I'm gonna get downvotes into oblivion for an opinion
I wonder if the MTF could have actually dug up D-6042 if they used different, faster methods of digging such as explosives. They probably have a bunch of random C4 lying around from the times they infiltrate Chaos Insurgency buildings
I feel like D-6042 is in another dimension that's just barely overlapping with our one. Also I think if D-6042 dug even more, he would've appeared back in the house, from the floor. (Possibly could explain the digging sounds)
I feel like if the D class kept digging, they would've appeared back at the house, from the bottom. Would explain the digging sounds they're hearing, just being a past version of the D class. I also think the D class is not in our dimension and the efforts of the MTF were futile.
I hadn’t herd of this SCP before. It’s really well done. I do like it when the D-class are treated as people as well. It really brings in the horror of it all if you can feel how scary it must be.

but didn't they go a cross-test with 682? he escaped with enough help i think D-6042 could as well
682 is 682, it literally got removed from existence (in another test) and then remanifested back in its containment cell just to spite the foundation.
