It's the other way around - in 1986, her dad doesn't like her. He is polite with her but knows she is self-centered and mean, finally saying it to her face in S2E7: " You are all you've ever cared about. You have no heart!"
Her transformation from that 1986 Claudia to more caring and empathetic Old Claudia is one of the two key character arcs in the story (the other being Jonas's)
She doesn't look caring or empathetic except just before she kills her father or just before she died. Two moments when she knew someone would die and wanted to make peace. Otherwise i don't think she as become a good person.
When she kills her father, that is Claudia at her worst... willing to let her father die to protect her quest for scientific greatness. We had already seen her treating her daughter terribly.
In contrast, Old Claudia has given up on the grandiose dreams and takes several actions aimed at helping others:
* Old Claudia makes a visit to Young Egon to apologize for what happens to him, and to tell him he is a good person
* Old Claudia tells Agnes she will find love and happiness with Doris
* Old Claudia tells 1986 Claudia to treat Regina better
* Old Claudia saves Regina from the Apocalypse

That’s not why she lets Egon die...it’s to save Regina. Because Old Claudia told her if everything happens as it should “maybe she’ll live.” She’s seen Regina dying of cancer in 2020. Everything she does from then on is to try to save Regina.
I stopped watching this show. When I got to season 4 my head wan knock... I was so confused. I don't know but there was a lot of stuff leftover in season 1 that they didn't even touch in season 2 and that happened in Season 3 too

she has an affair with Noahs sister, not his mom but yes. But maybe her mom telled her it was the fault of her dad? Happens so often.
