The thing I do is start with a purple wash, that way you have lots of color variation in your recesses. After that you use your browns and dark browns, but you highlight pretty much up to white. You’ll see the guy in the center, who I’m most proud of, pretty much has pale white on his nose and bridge of nose. Anyway that’s my recommendation.

How do you achieve the dark skin tone
Mix your light skin tone with a bit of brown ink or sepia, that gives you a darker tone and then you can shade from there
That or send them to the tanning salon.
