Haven't been there yet but keep reading about Luca's cucina in Morton. Take out only.
Johnny paisanos is our old faithful.
If you're on Facebook, check out the delco restaurant review group, lots of great recs there.
I miss Tivani’s and Trattoria Giuseppe’s, if anyone can recommend places that have similar quality. I *love* Italiano’s in Marcus Hook, but it’s a haul for me to get there and there’s very little dine in space there.
I miss Tavani’s so much! After Tavani’s closed one of the family members opened a spot in Morton for a bit. It was bbq but they also offered some classic Italian options. I wish I hit them up for Italian food more often.
We continued to go there until they closed. I really wish I had gotten info on the escarole soup and the ziti with broccoli. I have never had anything nearly as good since they closed.
Fellini in media should have a very similar menu as Giuseppe’s. They worked together and when they split they both used the menu. I’m sure it’s been changed since then, but it might still have some of the same dishes.
I went there for a date night with my husband. 0/10 recommend.
Everything is covered in half an inch of dust, including the old Italian assholes working there.
Seriously, go anywhere BUT Portobello. The food is all frozen, the entire place reeks of cigarette smoke, there were fly papers hanging from the ceiling. Oh, and the dusty Italian guys are openly racist against Asians.
I paid a babysitter to be muttered at in Italian by a dusty old fuck slinging shitty veal parm.
Il Granio, Gennaros, La Locanda, Ariano, La Padella, Alessandro’s, Dom & Mia’s, Anthony’s Ristorante, Fellini Cafe & Trattoria

Don’t think these are new, but very good food! 1.) Spasso’s in Media 2.) Giampino’s Cucina in Havertown 3.) La Locanda in Newtown Square
I second Spasso’s in media. They have the best sauce!!
Third Spasso’s!
Giampinos has gone downhill
Spassos in MEDIA
Their Monday special of appetizer, entree and desert with a bottle of wine for $50 can’t be beat.

Got Lucas recently—portions and taste were fantastic.
what have you heard about lucas? live sort of close by and was thinking of giving it a go
Apparently their gnocchi is out of this world. I haven't read anything negative about the place.
Lucas is great and comes with enough food to turn into multiple meals!
Fellini's media

Portobello's in EddyStone. It's a BYOB. Small though.
