So now cancer patients who lose their homes can potentially go to jail for sleeping outside because the people who are in charge hate the poor/homeless.
Cancel ALL consumer debt for incomes under $50k.
Cancel ALL student debt for incomes under $50k.
Cancel ALL medical debt for incomes under $50k
Tax wealth, tax billionaires at 70%, tax parked offshore profits at 100%, tax offshore corporations at 100%.
And build a modern country with healthcare, education, and voting rights for everyone.
Agree with all your points except cancelling consumer debt. This type of debt is incurred largely based on bad choices such as buying an expensive new car or credit card debt from lifestyle choices like going out to eat or vacations. If we canceled consumer debt it would provide every incentive for people to spend money they do not have recklessly knowing the government will bail them out. The same way that companies get bailed out under the current regime when they spend recklessly on buybacks and executive bonuses.

When I wrote cancel, I didn't mean the government was going to pay down the debt. I meant the government was going to declare the debt legally void and then no taxes could be collected on the cancelled debt. The loan holders would have to eat it, but they have trillions of stolen wealth, so fuck 'em.
This would break the debt society and debt economy we've created.
I seriously doubt anyone would get a second bite of the apple. This is why we have to replace the old system with a progressive approach. We have to break the billionaires financially and literally.
The point at which you can no longer give your labour is the point at which capitalism tosses you in the fire. Your only societal worth is measured in surplus value. There can never be a gentle or just or forgiving capitalism. It can never provide equality, it is in a sense a battle royale wherein some people are born with a machine gun, and others with no arms.
Both institutions are so corrupt. I’m a single mom, and have to work part time so I can get free health care. If I get a full time, then I will have to pay copays and deductibles. I would also have to pay for more daycare, so I would end up making less, than working part time. So backwards.

There should be medical debt forgiveness before student loans.
It's incredible to me that Public University and health care is not paid for by the very high tax rate in the USA.
