I agree with it being too loud, scares me sometimes

Working-Sky9146

It’s definitely loud but o think it’s a beautiful song!

Omega-Beta-Zeta

Either I’m crazy or you people are! 🤣 I *love* the theme song, it’s literally my ringtone! lol! I was sad when they shortened it.

chickpeapuff

wait that’s actually so cute!! is it still your ringtone? you’re a real one!

Omega-Beta-Zeta

Yup! Still my ringtone. Paid 99p for that; I’m getting my money’s worth! 🤣 Granted, my phone is on silent 90% of the time, but on the occasion it’s off silent, full volume, I get a nice little heart attack when the odd call comes in 😅

Working-Sky9146

WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THAT! BRB

Omega-Beta-Zeta

Just don’t set it as your alarm. It will ruin it for you forever!

Working-Sky9146

Oh I could never!

SatisfactionNo668

I do love when something mad happens at the end of the episode and it goes straight into that, never fits 🤣

Working-Sky9146

SAME!!!! It’s like “Lynette’s family might’ve died…..take it away boys!!!!!!”

No_Agent_653

I wouldn't say I like the theme song in itself it but I think the fact that it's so cheerful etc is funny and I think it was done on purpose, I think it matches the fact that behind this perfect neighborhood façade there are dark secrets and murders etc, it's kind of the point of the show. On the surface you could think it's a wholesome show about nice housewives in a pretty neighborhood but it definitely isn't. It also matches the tone of how the episodes start, they usually start on a lighter note

chickpeapuff

i totally agree with you about the intent and the juxtaposition of the theme song and the absurd dark reality that lurks on wisteria lane, i just think instead of shortening the intro song they could’ve changed it and capitalized on danny elfman’s range and beautiful compositions to deepen the tone. but that’s just my take!

TheVolvaOfVanaheim

I agree; once they cut down the titles to that few seconds of just the apples dropping into the main cast's hands it was very jarring. Prior to that the titles and the theme were okay, but not Danny Elfman's best (come on, dude did the Beetlejuice theme!)

chickpeapuff

Yes!! omg the beetlejuice theme and the nightmare before christmas soundtrack are deeply nostalgic for my family!!! honestly all his scores are lol, all of those ooze such perfectly fitting slightly eerie + emotional melodies which are so fitting and i think danny elfman is such a mastermind!! that’s why im so mad that the theme song fails to reflect how genius he is & how much opportunity the theme song had! i think he was a perfect choice of talent to curate the theme song and i like the other melodies throughout the show but the abruptness of the theme song pains me. clearly I’ve been sitting on this a while. im on season 8 and ive had ittttt

ExoticPeace7222

I mute it when it comes on lol

familiarphantoms

ME TOO

chickpeapuff

i’m not alone!! 😅

PercentageMaximum457

I like it because of the images they had in the first edition. It was fun to guess who was who and it really fits a comedy vibe.

Working-Sky9146

I loved it! My favorite part was when there was a really serious scene before and then it was all happy and cheerful music lol But seriously I loved it and thought it was beautiful and perfectly fit the show-elegance and chaos wrapped together :)

MikeScottPaperCo2

That’s the point for it to be super upbeat and give the feel of the perfect suburban life. The show is not supposed to be a calm and moody drama
