I am not for all the violence that occurred, but honestly the description is pretty much accurate and goddamn impressive.
And overall it was one of the least deadly colonization or decolonization events that ever happened in history, no matter which way you want to look at it.
As a liberal person I think "decolonization" is actually a shit value.
But in the case of Jews, this decolonization was always a secondary motive--it was really the means to the end of creating a place where they would be safe, given the extent to which they were subjugated in almost every other country.
I would say classic but based on largely agreeing with others who I heard label themselves as such.... I'm not necessarily well versed in the theory behind all of these categorizations.
But yeah, I see no issues with cultural and capitalistic "imperialism". The reason we have the values we do is because we do inherently think they're superior.
Not that I think there is literally anything good about exporting KFC and Mcdonalds, but that's for the people to decide.
