obvs it wasn't snazzzy's run that got it patched, just a scapegoat for redditors. like salt is.
Its actually been replaced with an old, no longer acquirable finisher called the Belgian flying kick, it was the finisher that came with the season of the undying battle pass
It allowed you to die and revive by yourself and doing so to bypass some wipe mechanics. It was used for a solo Herald (salvation's edge second encounter) earlier

So that’s why I’ve been using a finisher I never bought! I was so confused as to why it kept on appearing.

I’m pretty sure it’s Belgian Flying Kick, which was in Season 9’s pass back when we moved to that model alongside Shadowkeep
There was a bug where you pretty much could self res through wipe mechanics with it so Bungie did a good job disabling it fast

The finisher allowed you to create small areas where you could freely rez, including in raid encounters
It's probably to combat the self-rez exploit that recently came about with it
I legit had no idea there was a bug with it. I just swapped to it because it looks awesome.
I hope we get to keep the kick, because I actually really like it unlike the final slice.
Interesting. I haven't swapped for any finisher since whirling chaos but what it's supposed to look like is actually kinda cool
