Agreed. I honestly thought that would be the catalyst's effect.

robborrobborrobbor

Honestly its catalyst as a whole feels like a missed opportunity, I was hoping we would get a conditional finality type deal, it matches your super and applys what ever matching debuff, but changes element when ya eat a grenade and now does that debuff, instead it feels so bland. Like yay I can now waste my grenade on my solar fusion to make a large damaging scorch explosion, or I could idk throw the grenade.

Naive_Usual_7531

you do realize that the charged fusion projectile does more damage than your fusion nade right? I've been using it on my getaway artist build and the sheer amount of grenade energy I'm making with devour + demo auto and lmg lets me use 80% of my fusion reserves as overcharged rounds. Feels really nice in that context. However I will admit the weapon stats feel really sluggish. Long reload and feels like shooting a supersoaker when firing the normal rounds. I'm glad I found a niche that makes it feel good but yeah unless you're making more grenade energy than you know what to do with I'd steer clear of it.

BaconIsntThatGood

> you do realize that the charged fusion projectile does more damage than your fusion nade right? Yup, touch of flame fusion grenade is like 1700 PVE damage; tesselation blast is like 2500

ElPajaroMistico

And void blast also applies weaken

BaconIsntThatGood

Wasn't sure if it was weaken or supression.

Gultark

I’m loving it on my osmiomancy stasis build, allows me to have an offensive use for my grenades, it hits like a heavy rocket + if I ever break the loop of osmiomancy I have a super demolitionist weapon to top me back up.

Treefolk

I believe it refunds the same amount of energy as any special weapon w/ demolitionist (for what its worth).

ahawk_one

The charged projectile was already very strong, and now it also makes explosions. May not be the best “dps” gun, but it is a great gun and the catalyst made it feel good

Prism in general thus far seems to have a lot of lockout on what seems to be it's whole purpose. I was just trying this yesterday and was glad I could load the grenades but disappointed they didn't change. Mask of bakris for hunters does not convert acrobats dodge despite it being a dodge and despite having a stasis super equipped, which is the labeled requirements for the exotic to work. I'm continuing to play around with prism and while I'm not out on it yet, it's ability to synergize has been disappointing compared to what's been advertised imo.

DuelaDent52

I get they can’t do EVERY ability because that’d be an unfair advantage, but I definitely wish there a bit... more? Maybe I just want the grappling hook more than anything. EDIT. Okay, seriously, why do I keep getting downvoted for asking about the grappling hook?

sjf40k

I wouldn't be surprised if they have plans to add more abilities into prismatic as the episodes continue. Having everything available right out of the gate is asking for trouble. There's literally billions of combinations that would be available, and something would absolutely break. Also, there's a "transcendant" section of prismatic, which to me implies that there are at least thoughts about having additional grenades and effects while transcendant.

BaconIsntThatGood

> Also, there's a "transcendant" section of prismatic, which to me implies that there are at least thoughts about having additional grenades and effects while transcendant. Reminds me of when stasis launched and there was only one melee/super. :(

DuelaDent52

Maybe they’ll be available post-Raid?

BaconIsntThatGood

Honestly I doubt we'll see anything. If we're getting anything additional that's prismatic specific it's unlikely to be until episode 2 launches in about 4 months.

Grunt232

Stasis still only has one melee/super. Strand too.

KitsuneKamiSama

I think that's the point

-TrevorStMcGoodbody

I agree, grapple for everyone. Go a step further, also add Grapple as a melee option for all strand/prismatic subclasses. Let’s fly

DuelaDent52

Grapple would be pretty tough as a melee, imagine you’re trying to punch somebody and instead you just fly straight past them.

Bennijin

I noticed this last night too, I actually think it'd be neat if it had more interactions with different grenades too. Imagine if you could forcefully shove a Lucent Moth in there or a Gunpowder Gamble. What about chaining an Arbor Warden Barri-Nade in there and just fucking launching this sheet of space glass at an unsuspecting Dreg?

Legitimate_Charge_97

Gunpowder gambles are already addictively lethal. Still die to them every once in a while. While it would be cool to throw them in there, you have them so often anyway. It would be too crazy as well if it was just stuffed in there and you could build up for another one before using the first.

CrotasScrota84

Gun is so satisfying to me. I love it. Having big group of enemies and you can just evaporate them with one shot. So good and that was Legendary Campaign.

The_Dark_Amiibo

Been loving the gun, but yes needs a special effect for the transcendent grenade
