I liked Perron, but the Wings need to get younger and faster, plus need cap room for Seider/Raymond. Perron is a great guy in the locker room by all accounts, and is good for around 20 goals and 50 points, but he's also at an age where he might drop off. I liked having Perron in Detroit, but I'm ok with moving on from him.

Yeah... I wouldn't have wanted him back on a 2 year contract, and $4 mil is a bit pricey. Good for him to get that contract.
