20 years. Sometimes, I can't tell if the grief I feel is mine, his, or both of ours. But it is always worse when I have to see him.
That is a very long time. I was with my ex for 14 years and after 7 months I still find myself grieving, so I can only imagine 20. I definitely relate to your grief.
