No please no. She’ll be the struggling maidservant that the master falls for and then be like “no I’m not worthy of love, I’m just Jennifer from the square”
His performance in the new Bladerunner is absolutely atrocious. It’s just so corny and over the top, and he doesn’t have anywhere near the gravitas to pull of something like that. I like that movie but his few short scenes damn near ruin it for me. He’s the reason I haven’t gone back and rewatched it, because my over riding memory of that film is still him, being shit, and the look on his face where he’s clearly thinking ‘oh yeah! I am acting the SHIT out of this! I’m getting an Oscar for sure because of how hard I am acting right now!’
Bella Thorne for me. Even after her OnlyFans stint and how much damage she caused to the sex work industry, I realised then that every movie she had been in was absolute trash anyway.
I regret not seeing Baby Driver in theaters. The whole #MeToo thing kicked off after it left theaters and before it was available to rent and not only was it yucky to see him, but he also had quite a few lines that, with the new information, came off as him grooming the protagonist, so it was double gross.
I know I'm old, but for me it's Steven Segal. He has about a buttload of movies, and I have never been able to watch a single one of them, nor do I have the desire to do so.
Tom cruise is the guy you pass in the city, walking in traffic during rush hour. You try not to make eye contact cuz he might stop walking and wave and you don't want a 6 car pile up in center city...
I've already seen a number of ones I avoid. Here are some that haven't been mentioned.
People who publicly defend Woody Allen. Just because he didn't harm you doesn't invalidate the experience of his daughter...and even if you don't believe her, he married a girl he raised as a father. 😑 Does it not occur to them that abusers don't treat everyone badly, they need people to believe they are "good"...or do they not care? 🤔
Cate Blanchett defended an old male photographer who took photos of *naked* children.
Armie Hammer. The abuse accusations confirmed my gut instinct. Anyone else who has the same kind of smirk.
I'll go out of my way to avoid abusive people or people who defend them. But there are others I just don't seek out because they are terrible at acting or are minor level assholes. 😅
I don't think many people heard about it outside Australia. Even here it has been largely forgotten. The "artist" eventually got a PG rating for the images here (or at least most of them, I'm not sure the full details), but some of the photos were full frontal nude (censored versions were shown in news stories at the time but have been removed completely since) and his style has intentional sensual/sexual undertones. I can't find a good link to the background information that gave me alarm bells at the time, but he was Godfather to the girl in the full frontal images, and there was a feeling of grooming to the situation. Our then Prime Minister Kevin Rudd called them "revolting photos with no artistic value". I find it concerning that images that would otherwise be considered child pornography are not in this instance. 🤔
If anyone wants to form their own opinion regarding Cate [this](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2008/may/28/australia.art) link contains at least some of what she said at the time. I gave you enough context above to form your own opinion, rather than just my word. 🙂
[Glad you asked!](https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/mark-wahlberg-racist-hate-crimes-wikipedia-history-george-floyd-blm-protests-a9554191.html)
And whenever people say that he was just a typical racist Boston kid at the time, I like to bring up [the time he had his buddy hold his neighbor down while he kicked him in the face repeatedly, fracturing his jaw...](https://apnews.com/article/fa0f39298f8338e5e481a775ec5f30e9) He was 21.
I love baseball, so it is the bane of my existence that Kevin Costner is in every baseball movie. I don't find him attractive, and he doesn't act. He just repeats lines.
Kevin spacey 🤮 I know he’s a pretty good actor, but everything he has done is just too overwhelmingly gross. I did watch seven recently (didn’t know he was in it) and it’s nice because he gets shot like 20 times, really good movie 10/10
I always loved him and his movies and tbh it shattered me when everything came out. I'm sure I'm not the only one who had their heart sink and feel like let down or a ruined past of memories when ANY actor they appreciated ended up being a foul disgusting person.
Weirdly the exact opposite of this happened to me recently. For whatever reason I took a real disliking to Steve Martin and refused to watch his stuff, but then I ended up watching the first episode of Only Murders in the Building. My opinion went out the window and I've just finished Season 2. Fantastic stuff.
I was shown The Voyage of the Mimi when I was in elementary school and I simply cannot see Ben Affleck in anything else without thinking of him like a little sea-legged lad.
I watched a film that he was in with Pedro Pascal. I love me some Pedro, and absolutely hate Affleck. It was so gratifying when he got shot in the head in that film.
Sometimes...I think it really depends. For the most part as long as the product looks interesting enough I can overlook most things but also on the flipside, if it has Pauly Shore and is passed the year 2000....then I will probably avoid it XD
How I feel about David Letterman.
This [interview](https://youtu.be/BfPbdRP3ZAs) with Joaquin Phoenix made me despise him. If Joaquin was really having a hard time, the way David treated him was so unnecessary.
Watching how someone treats another person can really shift how you feel about them.
Not me, but my old roommate had such an intense distaste for Vince Vaughn that she couldn’t watch anything he was in. She couldn’t even talk about his acting without getting worked up lol. Her chief complaint was: “he basically plays the same character in every single movie and it’s so damn annoying.”
Yep. Will Ferrell. If I see that dude in the cast list, it's an immediate no for me. I absolutely cannot stand him. He ruins everything he touches. I have been forced to watch Elf every Christmas season up until a year or so before I graduated, and no amount of re-watch ever made me like it. He also ruined any episode he was in on The Office and it's my favorite show, but I refuse to re-watch any episode he was in. Awful actor, super creepy face.
Yes. I refuse to watch anything with Ryan Reynolds in it. He ALWAYS plays the same in-your-face-asshole-with-a-heart-of-gold. I'm just tired of it. Even Green fucken Lantern had him do this role!!
I often separate the performers from their personal lives, because I don’t know any of these people or circumstances. I don’t like to get involved in celebrity tabloids, their transgressions, and personal lives for better or worse.
Also, there are other moving parts in film or TV show above the star, which includes other stars, actors, VFX, writing, director, production values, and story/genre/theme of the film. I have some all-time favorite films, where I didn’t like the lead actor or actress, even some of these other elements.
I also realize it’s a very unique circumstances for unique talent.
I’d say probably stay away from the Kardashian films or anything related to Hallmark/GAC/PureFlix, because those films are too formulaic and obvious.
I did. I didnt like russell brand but someone kept telling me to watch get him to the greek and it was aite. Before whenever id see him show up on screen my brain would just start judging the hell out of the movie and wouldnt watch it if i knew he was in it. I guess thanks to that movie im more open minded now and will watch nearly anything. At the least give it a shot.
Yeah anything with Nicholas cage and idek why. I remember watching national treasure when I was younger and it was phenomenal. But now I avoid anything he’s in lol
Anything with Sacha Baron-Cohen.
One trick pony:
Absurd character mocks people without them knowing they are being filmed.
The "plot" for Borat could have been written in 2 mins.
I had to turn Bruno off after 20 mins and swore I'd never waste my time on one of his films ever again.
He creates utter garbage.
I second this, and I haven't even seen either Borat or the other one with the stupid name. Just seeing the trailers I knew I wouldn't like the flicks, anything that makes STUPID fun of a culture is a no-go. Tasteful jokes, cool, fine, but the trash SBC does is way across the line for me.
It’s incredibly hard for me to watch Christian Bale, I think he’s an incredible actor but his veneers make his mouth move oddly and it distracts me to no end.
I will not watch anything with Joey King or Rob Schneider. I cannot stand either of them.
A lot of people don't like Kevin Costner, but Yellowstone is probably the best TV show (besides euphoria) I've seen in a while, mainly thanks to Kelly Reilly.
I'm just not a fan of his style of humor I guess. Things others find funny in movies of his I just don't find funny.
Is there a movie he's done where he isn't constantly doing slapstick/comedy stuff?
I'm really not much of a movie person so I don't keep up with recent movies...
Not the biggest Brad Pitt fan... if it's not a movie I really want to watch (i.e. I did watch *Fight Club* and *Once Upon a Time in Hollywood*) then I won't waste my time. It's not that he's a bad actor, because he isn't! I just can't seem to enjoy his characters ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Zooey Deschanel
I feel like she always plays the same character. It also happens to be a character I can’t buy into the illusion of because she was a nightmare to work with. My sister used to book talent and accommodations for a pop culture news show. Zooey was invited to be on the show once and made my sister’s life hell for a month. So rude about her dietary restrictions and travel needs.
I read somewhere that Tommy Lee Jones told him on the set of the Batman movie they did together, “I cannot sanction your buffoonery.” Thought it was very TLJ sounding statement and could feel where he was coming from with it.
Yes! I don’t understand how his overexaggerated facial expressions can be considered funny? To each their own I guess but I physically can’t put myself through that
See, for me it was Leonardo DiCaprio in his early years.
Funny thing is, as time went on and his appearance aged I was able to raise my suspension of disbelief in the roles that he was doing.
Now I actually like DiCaprio, he does a lot of interesting movies and doesn't pigeonholed into a typecast.
I'm hoping that it's the same with Tom Holland, that as soon as he doesn't have this twink-like appearance and he has some lines in his face to convey some experience that he'll win me over because I get the feeling he's not going anywhere in the industry and that's fine he certainly hasn't done anything wrong that I'm aware of - but I don't want to have to avoid movies that are likely to be in genres I enjoy because I just don't buy his casting for the role.
yes i cant stand millie bobby brown. theres something annoying about her that i cant point out and plus stranger things is just wayyy too overrated to actually get into it
J-lo. She’s always the suffering underdog. Same story every time.
Damn, you're right. Would love to see her try a Victorian role.
No please no. She’ll be the struggling maidservant that the master falls for and then be like “no I’m not worthy of love, I’m just Jennifer from the square”
Lol that's just hilarious 😂
Enough is so good though
Out Of Sight. That's an exception and very good.
Jared Leto makes it a no-go for me
I honestly have no idea how anyone looked at him and said: "That's our Joker."
the "damaged" tattoo 😭
Just awful. Joker doesn't need tattoos to show he's deranged or damaged. If Leto was a better actor, those character traits would be evident.
You should watch Phillions video on YouTube about him. He's really creepy. Borderline of not a full on sexual predator too.
Mr Nobody and Requiem for a Dream made me love him for a bit. I was so sad to find out he’s a creep
Bella Thorne for me. Even after her OnlyFans stint and how much damage she caused to the sex work industry, I realised then that every movie she had been in was absolute trash anyway.
Oh right. Forgot about her. Not a very good actress, IMO.
Im really into the entire ahs franchise and an episode in their newest season had her in it and i skipped after the first frame with her in it
Kevin Spacey ruined Kevin Spacey for me
House of Cards could’ve been a masterpiece if he hadn’t turned out to be a massive piece of shit.
I loved him when I was a kid! Now.... not so much.
Charlie sheen.
Didn't he rape Corey Haim?
Yes
Tom Cruise is dead to me. Too much Scientology. I know there are tons of others involved in scientology, but he's the worst of the worst.
Tom cruise is the guy you pass in the city, walking in traffic during rush hour. You try not to make eye contact cuz he might stop walking and wave and you don't want a 6 car pile up in center city...
Came here to say this
I really can’t stand Tom cruise personally but damn I always love his fuckin movies
I agree. I watched the first Top Gun when it originally was released in the theater. Not planning to watch the second.
[удалено]
I'm not watching the new (or even the original) top gun because of him. He gives me an odd feeling tbh and I don't like it.
Same. I feel like the only person on the planet who hasn’t seen the new Top Gun. Or the original one, for that matter.
*[glances up from phone at Rock of Ages on the TV]*
YES!!!
Yep, pretty much anything with him I avoid. Top Gun was good though.
I've already seen a number of ones I avoid. Here are some that haven't been mentioned. People who publicly defend Woody Allen. I agree with your entire comment.
Anything with Mark Wahlberg.
Every time someone talks about how amazing he is, I bring up the hate crimes.
Yeah, he's just a street punk who got lucky.
His big brother bailed him out of every jam he got himself into then handed him a career. Donnie will always be the superior Wahlberg
Hate crimes?
[Glad you asked!](https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/mark-wahlberg-racist-hate-crimes-wikipedia-history-george-floyd-blm-protests-a9554191.html)

He's got the acting ability of a fencepost
I love baseball, so it is the bane of my existence that Kevin Costner is in every baseball movie. I don't find him attractive, and he doesn't act. He just repeats lines.
he also has the voice of a watered down soda.
He was also the worst choice for Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves..
Yeah, he's so boring. How did he even become a big deal back in the day?
[удалено]
Robin Hood was the movie that made me realise he couldn’t act. Not even an attempt to soften his American accent either.
Dances With Wolves maybe?
Have you never seen Yellowstone? Holy fuck that’s the best show on tv rn
I've avoided anything with Kevin Costner for decades,, but Yellowstone is an excellent show
I've never seen a single episode. Please don't hate me.
I don’t hate you. I just think it’s worth a watch. Check it out. Beth Dutton is the baddest bitch to have ever been written
I can't watch him in anything because I was exposed to the travesty that was Rumor Has It when I was young...
Charlie Chaplin. Bro…what century do u think it is with that black and white stuff? Cool hat though
Not so sure about the moustache though. Gives me weird, genocidal vibes.
Yeah odd choice
Also married a girl he met back when she was underage.
People need to stop encouraging him
Kevin spacey 🤮 I know he’s a pretty good actor, but everything he has done is just too overwhelmingly gross. I did watch seven recently (didn’t know he was in it) and it’s nice because he gets shot like 20 times, really good movie 10/10

I was bummed too. Something about his vibes always seemed kinda...off to me. But he was one of my favorite actors.
I can’t watch anything with Tom cruise. He just really irritates me.
The first half of Edge of Tomorrow is great because he dies over and over again. The second half is forgettable.
I was about to post the same thing. Can’t stand his face
Anything Krapdashian related.
Yes. Jennifer Lopez. I just can’t.
Anything with Jesse Eisenberg. He just has such a smug face.

Thats funny af
I loved his Lex Luthor, it was far from accurate but I really liked it for some reason.
Tim Allen. I've been in NYC apartments with funnier and less annoying rats.
100% Tom Cruise
Yes. Anything with Ben Affleck in it, I ain't watching it. Can't stand him as an actor. He's the worst.
I was very disappointed that he got the Batman gig. So many other more deserving candidates.
Tbf, he is a super big Batman nerd
That's fair. I'm a huge history nerd, but that doesn't qualify me for a job at the Smithsonian. Not being a dick, just saying.
Exactly.
I was shown The Voyage of the Mimi when I was in elementary school and I simply cannot see Ben Affleck in anything else without thinking of him like a little sea-legged lad.
😂😂😂😂
I watched a film that he was in with Pedro Pascal. I love me some Pedro, and absolutely hate Affleck. It was so gratifying when he got shot in the head in that film.
Hahaha! I love Pedro Pascal. I'm so sorry for him to have to work with Affleck.
On the plus side, the film also starred Oscar Isaac. Pedro and Oscar just about made up for the horror of watching Affleck try to act.
Lol! Exactly. The man cannot act. It's painful to watch. 😂😂
Sometimes...I think it really depends. For the most part as long as the product looks interesting enough I can overlook most things but also on the flipside, if it has Pauly Shore and is passed the year 2000....then I will probably avoid it XD
Yeah, The Cosby Show
No judgement from me.
Amy Schumer She's 100% not funny
Agree!!!!
Will Smiths behaviour at the Oscars has ruined his films for me.

I feel that way about Adam Sandler lol.
Tom cruise for me too...
Another one, at least 84000 mentions already.
Lol...I concur!
Dwayne Johnson and Kevin hart. They just suck as actors to me.
At least Hart can tell a joke. Neither of them can act. Rock is the Arnold Schwarzenegger of our time.
Someone agrees!!
All Hart does is play the energetic Jokester who sometimes get shit on. I’m tired of that
I refuse to watch anything he is in, specifically because of his association with the Rock. Hate the Rock.
Jennifer Aniston
Yup. Bella Thorne
Yes. Mark Whalburg and The Rock
Tom Cruise. Can’t do it.
Kardashian’s
Joey King. Her face irritates me for some reason.
Will Smith

Anything with Tom Cruise.
Seems like a popular response. Everyone hates the man, for some reason.
He’s a creepy little piece of shit.
And he Ruined Katie Holmes.
Jennifer Lawrence… not my Katniss
She's so boring in **everything** .
Yep. Will Ferrell. If I see that dude in the cast list, it's an immediate no for me. I absolutely cannot stand him. He ruins everything he touches. I feel the same way about Seth Rogen. Painfully unfunny.
Kevin Spacey, Mark Wahlberg, Bill Cosby, Danny Masterson, Louis CK, Lena Dunham, Tiffany Haddish
I only like 1 of those people, but not for acting.
Anything Will Smith is in
Yes. I refuse to watch anything with Ryan Reynolds in it. He ALWAYS plays the same in-your-face-asshole-with-a-heart-of-gold. I'm just tired of it. Even Green fucken Lantern had him do this role!!
I refused to watch Avatar because I think James Cameron is a tool, but it's actually a pretty good film!

Kat Dennings. I just find her insufferable and dislike watching her on the screen.
So beautiful, yet so Fran Drescher .
If Cardi B is ever in anything you bet your ass I’m never gonna watch it. Fuck Cardi B…or rather don’t because she’ll fucking drug and rob you.
I refuse to watch anything made by Tarantino. Unfortunately I've seen three if his movies and hate them all. Never again.
Yeah anything with Nicholas cage and idek why. I remember watching national treasure when I was younger and it was phenomenal. But now I avoid anything he’s in lol
The immersion is ruined when he's in the movie because I can't see the actor he's playing, I just see Nicholas Cage.
Ricky Gervais.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Kevin James!
Proof of how forgettable he is.
Bruce Willis Stop supporting asshole humans

Scarlett Johansson - everything about her annoys the shit out of me. I hate looking at her face!
Amber heard. She's an abuser and a bad actress.
Can not even cry on command.
Can't stand Jim Carrey. I'll pass on anything he's in.
Even in The Truman show? I used to dislike the other characters he did, but I changed my mind about him when I saw The Truman Show
Anything particular about him that annoys you? I quite like some of his stuff.
I'm just not a fan of his style of humor I guess. Things others find funny in movies of his I just don't find funny. Is there a movie he's done where he isn't constantly doing slapstick/comedy stuff? I'm really not much of a movie person so I don't keep up with recent movies...
*Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind* is an incredible movie, and is most definitely not a comedy.
The Majestic is a good, serious role of his. He can play serious roles quite well.
I can’t stand his style of comedy but I’ll happily watch his dramatic roles like ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’.
I religiously avoid anything starring Adam Sandler or Will Ferrell.
Can't stand anything with Rosario Dawson
She was great in Sin City
Not the biggest Brad Pitt fan... if it's not a movie I really want to watch (i.e. I did watch *Fight Club* and *Once Upon a Time in Hollywood*) then I won't waste my time. It's not that he's a bad actor, because he isn't! I just can't seem to enjoy his characters ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
*Once Upon a Time in Hollywood* was so damn boring to me. I enjoyed *Meet Joe Black* and *Fight Club*.
Zach Galafinakis and Will Ferrell. I am not a fan of crazy over the top characters who go unchecked the entire movie.
Cameron Diaz. The only way I will watch a movie with that woman in it is if she dies in it.
Matthew mcconaughey. I hate his face.
Zooey Deschanel I feel like she always plays the same character. It also happens to be a character I can’t buy into the illusion of because she was a nightmare to work with. me trying to watch ANYTHING with jeffery dean morgan after watching The Walking Dead LOL
yes there is an actor that I don't like Lou Diamond Phillips, nothing to do with politics or life style I just can't stand him,
Kevin Hart is a solid no. Not a fan of people who cheat especially on their pregnant wives
Jim Carey. I can’t stand his over animated nonsense.
I read somewhere that Tommy Lee Jones told him on the set of the Batman movie they did together, “I cannot sanction your buffoonery.” Thought it was very TLJ sounding statement and could feel where he was coming from with it.
I like that. I use the word buffoonery all the time.
I feel this way about old Adam Sandler movies
Yes! I don’t understand how his overexaggerated facial expressions can be considered funny? To each their own I guess but I physically can’t put myself through that
Marcia Gay Harden. All because of her character in the movie The Mist. I hate her
Tom Holland. Spiderman was enough.
Honestly i hate this, its not fair to actors that they get bottle necked for having an iconic role. He really is talented.
agreed. hes a great actor and hes still young and learning. hes comedic and he did a great job in all of his roles
See, for me it was Leonardo DiCaprio in his early years. Funny thing is, as time went on and his appearance aged I was able to raise my suspension of disbelief in the roles that he was doing.
