Well, the nutters are going to have to address the impact of their mutts on the environment. Perhaps it will get to the point where people will be required to make their dogs piss on their own property. Not a stretch to imagine that because breathing in the ammonia/piss smell as well as fresh feces smell isn't good for our lungs. Children are the ones who spend time outdoors so they will get the brunt of it.
Dogs should simply be taxed, at least the public can benefit from it to some degree. Dogs actively pollute their environment, why not tax them more severely?

I had the "spring of piss". During a really hard NH winter people were standing in the lobby with retracto-leashes so they didn't have to go outside to let their dog do its business. They were decent about picking up shit, but all winter sewage built up and it was a long winter. When spring finally hit... that might have been the closest I can believe to a smell being able to peel paint. It was absolutely disgusting.
I just love waking up in the morning and going outside to get some fresh air with the beautiful smell of dog piss ❤️

Another Doggy Double Standard.™ Farm animals are zoned out to agricultural areas, humans are expected to use toilets hooked into sewage systems, yet Fido and Rover endlessly piss and crap all over anything. Why bother having public health rules and standards at all while dogs are allowed to do this?
I can't go out the back entrance to my building as the stench of dog waste makes it impossible to breathe. Surely there is some way we can get this addressed under a health and safety rule. You can't really have ammonia levels at toxic forever... right?
My granddaughter lives in a nice co-op complex. It started out dog-free until the fake emotional support nutters turned everything to shit. They’re even allowing pit bulls. There are days that when I pick her up the smell burns your nostrils!

It stank to high heaven and was a giant smorgasbord for maggots and flies which spread all sorts of germs and diseases that are associated with sanitation failure. Pick your own City anywhere in the world, and it was plagued by the same problem as New York was. The diseases associated with the animal waste impacted human life expectancy quite seriously.
While dogs aren't creating as many tons of shit and as many gallons of piss per day as horses did in the late 1800s and early 1900s, they are still creating a sanitation nightmare scenario of ever present disease germs being brewed up for flies to spread sickness to people, as well as parasites lurking in the dog shit.
It's a terrible act of negligence for society to do so little about the problem often to the point to not take any public health measures to address the menace of widespread dog waste.

I can see all of the dried piss stains all over the sidewalk, as well as big turd piles left behind by oh so inconsiderate dog morons. And it stinks all summer long. But don’t worry, soon enough it will be winter and we’ll have all of the yellow snow. And of course after that is spring when all of the snow melts, showing all of the wet piles of crap that dog weirdos didn’t feel like cleaning up.
Dogs are a public health emergency. Nobody considers it a problem because dogs, but many of the dogs pissing all over the place use the same spots multiple times per day. And dogs, being the absolute disgusting morons that they are, have to all piss on the same spots like it is some kind of contest.

Same here. I live in Arizona. Ground floor floor duplex living situation in close quarters with very adjacent patios. It smells like fermented dog piss and shit all summer.
I was living in a humid hollow near the ocean once, a big dog nutter paradise. Every evening I would have to close my windows to stop the moist ocean air carrying the smell of dog waste from seeping into my house. The nature strips were never mown, and owners would let their dogs crap in the long grass and leave it there. Then when the town mower came along, he would drive his mower over piles of dried and putrefying dog shit, vaporising and tossing it metres in every direction, where it mixed with the moist ocean air and settled on our houses, cars and clotheslines. There was mould and moss growing over everything, and the air reeked of foulness.
Need I get into how many dog walkers tossed their do baggies in our bins..
