Mr. Satan. I just love his story. A martial artist who is considered by most to be the strongest man in the world sent to fight a bug monster. This man takes credit for cell’s defeat and is labeled as a hero. Fast forward a couple of years and he is stressing to keep his secret. Then he is sent to beat majin buu. He knows he’s no match for buu so he tries to win with tricks which obviously doesn’t work. He tries everything he can think of and the only thing that actually works is him being kind and being himself! By the end of the buu saga he becomes the hero he was pretending to be not with his strength, but with his kindness. He went from pretending to be a hero to actually becoming one! Some of his scenes, especially in the cell saga, can get annoying, but I’ll never hate this character. He’s also kind of a mirror of what Goku could’ve been if he had won his first tournament and didn’t learn the lesson of “there will always be someone stronger than you”
Yeah he’s not really a fraud apart from saying he beat cell, buu and beerus he actually earned the life he built for himself and Videl so he’s honestly one of the best fathers in DBZ and one of the most relatable since he has no regular powers

Nah he never truly gets put in his place from all the lying and constant shit talking he does. Cell Games Satan is completely and irredeemably insufferable to me and the whole time I genuinely wanted him to suffer the worst way possible and die just like everyone else wanted him to. He constantly lies to the whole world and is a ridiculously narcissistic person.
His own daughter was literally tortured and nearly killed in her fight against Spopovich, and everyone is telling him that she is getting her ass kicked, and what is this moron doing? Sitting there posing in a front of a mirror with his head so far up his own ass he could literally smell his own bullshit, not even batting an eye at the fact his daughter is on the verge of losing her match and being horribly beaten to the point of crying. Regardless of how Toriyama cleverly wrote him to have his lying work in favor with Buu and befriending him, I can never get over how he never truly gets his comeuppance and only further benefits from all of his lying. He definitely got more charming as I grew up but every time he starts to brag or talk shit especially behind peoples back, I want someone to cave his fucking skull in. Gag or not, it’s simply the fact he never suffers or pays for all of his bullshit and everything always works out in his favor, that’s what makes him annoying to me most times.
Yamcha. The more the story dunks on him the more I reject it. I can't hate characters if it feels the story wants me to laugh at or not care about. I want to hate them because of how they and not what the story is forcing me to see
I can take the occasional joke about Yamcha but god damn people forget that he’s still in the top 5 strongest humans

And people make fun of him dying during the Saiyan saga, but he got cheap shotted. And he was also way stronger than Goku was when Goku fought Raditz. Even if he peaked there(which he didn’t), that would still be extraordinary.

I just realized this now, but I never ONCE felt any animosity towards him. Just how unused he is by the writing team for most of Super.
Piccolo is honestly the hardest character to dislike of the Z fighters. I mean Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and even Future Trunks have had some pretty flawed moments that warranted hate.
Vegeta is literally reason for Cell perfection and Buu revival dooming the universe twice.
Goku has various faults of course.
Trunks has some minor mistake like not killing Cell for his dad pride
Gohan biggest flaw is repeating same mistake and getting cocky after a power up messing up things like with Cell, Super Buu and almost Cell Max before Piccolo knocked senses into him
The fact that Piccolo isn’t even a Saiyan but has Vegeta’s respect as a warrior AND he trusts him with his kid is all you need to know. Piccolo is a real one.

Definitely my favorite villain in all of z followed by his Team four star version and Cell. Those guys were pivotal s in showing us the most badass moments in the series.

For the first time, Freeza is actually training to defeat who he sees as his greatest rivals. When he gets defeated after all that effort, after never before being forced to lift a single finger in his life prior, that in itself will either humble him or awaken something that he never thought he had. I think he secretly doesn't want Goku nor Vegeta to die. We know Goku wants to keep Freeza alive, otherwise he would have never agreed for him to be revived by Whis.
Yeah I definitely think he doesn’t want Goku or Vegeta to die. He’d be way too bored and directionless without them now that he’s gotten a taste of what it’s like to have equals
Dude probbaly low key enjoyed all the later fights they had. Pretty sure him being the emperor was likely boring as fuck.
Now that he tasted challenge, I think he seemed to like it a lot. After all, he could have gone away and not train at all to attain the black form. But he put in the effort and probably loved how he just styled on goku and vegeta.

There is no point in him going Uub route after refusing to repent for decades choosing to suffer in hell.
He is strategic in his cold hearted behavior not unhinged on destruction without logic
hearing his return in the tournament of power turned my entire opinion of dragon ball super around and actually had me on my toes. Frieza brightens up the whole show ironically, and he’s inadvertently done a lot of good for the show little does he know lol. Without Frieza there would be no Super Saiyan. There would be no Broly. No looming threat out there you know is a real challenge for Goku and Vegeta and not just another one and done villain. Hell without Frieza, Cell wouldn’t have been as much of a threat as he was and we would’ve never even gotten Super Saiyan 2 Gohan when we did.

I think I'm one of the only person who has genuinly zero problem with this guy and doesn't disdain both anime, manga, xenoverse? depiction of him.
Honestly the character as whole is pretty interesting. I think where the arc fell flat for me was that I was expecting some sort of actual evil Goku and then found out it was another Ginyu swap situation which was a little bit of a let down. In my mind the arc could just not exist and it wouldn’t change the story of dragon ball.
I like Goku black and Zamasu, I just hate the story they were a part of. Idk about the manga but the anime version of the arc is so bad and felt like a waste of such cool character concepts.

I unironically really like Majin 21's design, because I was on the wiki trying to see if they mentioned the kais at all to explain how generally similar she kind of looks to one (ears, white hair, eyes to a lesser extent because 17 & 18 already look like that, less than vague connection to buu (fusionz had buu and the kais listed under the same race, so I was ultimately looking into another wild theory)) when it conversely explained her appearance as a function of the races that compose her as a bio android (Frieza's tail, Namekian ears) _surprisingly_ subtle if deliberate, which I'll now choose to believe.

I'd say Frieza I can't hate the bastard, I just can't. Everytime this man is on screen I feel like some crazy shit is about to go down. His villainous rivalry with Goku is also something that I really love more than Vegeta's rivalry with Goku. Don't get why people hate him so much (not Love to hate him, but actually hate his presence in the story).

I think A21 is just so shallow it's annoying, but at the same time, i don't care enough to complain.
Frieza and a couple other villains are really shallow as well and i don't like it but don't really care either, "i'm evil, because i'm evil".
Honestly Gas. Like he’s an AWFUL person, there’s no denying that. However, he didn’t deserve to die the way he did. Imagine aging so fast you can feel your body falling apart, and then getting one shot by the one dude you gained that power to kill.
Android 16. Personally I thought Android 17&18 were a little annoying and I couldn't care less about the clown, but 16 was a character I just liked even when I was a kid that was bent on hating bad guys.
Vegeta, he's just misunderstood. Like the whole royalty of a dead planet thing is hard to put myself in. Honestly the character as whole is pretty interesting. I think where the arc fell flat for me was that I was expecting some sort of actual evil Goku and then found out it was another Ginyu swap situation which was a little bit of a let down. In my mind the arc could just not exist and it wouldn’t change the story of dragon ball.
Tbf ALL of super could not exist and it wouldnt affect the story.

I unironically really like Majin 21's design, because I was on the wiki trying to see if they mentioned the kais at all to explain how generally similar she kind of looks to one (ears, white hair, eyes to a lesser extent because 17 & 18 already look like that, less than vague connection to buu (fusionz had buu and the kais listed under the same race, so I was ultimately looking into another wild theory)) when it conversely explained her appearance as a function of the races that compose her as a bio android (Frieza's tail, Namekian ears) _surprisingly_ subtle if deliberate, which I'll now choose to believe.

I'd say Frieza I can't hate the bastard, I just can't. Everytime this man is on screen I feel like some crazy shit is about to go down. His villainous rivalry with Goku is also something that I really love more than Vegeta's rivalry with Goku. Don't get why people hate him so much (not Love to hate him, but actually hate his presence in the story).

Frieza for me, I absolutely love him as a character, he's too entertaining and delightfully evil. Whenever he's on screen he just steals the show. He also legit expanded my English vocabulary
