He's 1.08 in startups on average, behind Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, CJ Stroud, Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Justin Jefferson, and Joe Burrow

Texasteabag29

Went 1.07 in mine. Gladly took Jetta at 1.08

poopybriefs

That’s absurd to me

abombdiggity

I'm running a best ball startup right now where he went as the sixth player off of the board after Stroud, Allen, Mahomes, Hurts, and Jackson. I thought that was a little aggressive but he's probably not getting out of the first round.

beejalton

Went 1.06 in my recent startup.

c0rp0real

Where did Marvin Harrison go?

Tooooots8585

He went 1.6 in mine I’m in too, I took marv at 2.3

Falcon_433

I’m taking 6-7 qbs at least, and a bunch of wrs over Caleb right now: Mahomes, Allen, Stroud, Lamar, Hurts, Burrow, and Kyler pretty comfortably AR, Hebert, Love, and Jayden vs Caleb is a debate for me Taking Jetts, Chase, CD, and ARSB. May take Marv too

Decln

Still cannot believe the disrespect Kyler gets, thank you for sharing my opinion on him being in that upper tier Was ecstatic to see him fall to me at the end of the 3rd

Falcon_433

You’re stealing if you got him back end 3rd round in a super flex startup

Decln

Yeah I don’t know what the fuck my league was doing. People just severely overlook him not only in fantasy but IRL too it’s kinda crazy Took Mahomes at the 1.03 and Kyler at 3.10 lmfao

mikeybigblinds

You’re taking Jayden ahead of Caleb in drafts?

Local-Librarian3285

In best ball you should.

Falcon_433

It would certainly be a debate for me. I think Jayden offers a higher ceiling. I play dynasty in 2-3 year windows hence why I’d be more inclined to prefer Jayden, especially at cost

ImNotJokic

You joining any leagues soon?

Falcon_433

Lol downvote me all you want. I’m coming off a championship in one league, and was top 3 points for in both dynasty leagues so I’d fare just fine in any of your leagues

Ann_L_Beads

Top 3 in 2 leagues?! Do you need help toting around those watermelons you call balls!?

Falcon_433

Watermelons are an understatement. Try medicinal Fried chicken sized balls

las_piratas_de_queso

I can now hear the music from that episode in my head. thanks 😊

Milwaukee007

Love easily

CZU41280

I have Allen as my starting QB and Kyler as my super flex hoping Murray goes off this year, when healthy he puts up some good points

SuckaFreeRIP

Only about 5 clear cut probably. He could reasonably go anywhere from 1.06-1.12 and it would make sense imo

Living-Fault-4245

Went 1.9 in the one I just did. I took Lamar over him at 1.6

VisualNeedleworker23

Too many, CW most overvalued fantasy asset.

Icilius

7 Qbs: Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Stroud, Burrow, Herbert, Kyler WRs: JJeff, Chase, CD, ARSB RBs: Bijan, Breece TEs: No one in non-TEP So at least 13. Then the following people would be a maybe for me: QB: Love, AR, Daniels WRs: Puka, Brown, MHJ, Wilson, Olave, Tyreek (in startup only), Nabers RBs: CMC/Taylor but in startup only So anywhere from 22-25 depending on if it's a startup or not

SpaceCowboy34

I’ve seen him taken before guys like Kyler and Amon ra in startups

NBAplaya8484

I offered Kyler & a 2nd and asked the kid what else it would take for my leagues 1.01 and got straight up laughed at lol Kyler is worth so much more than he’s currently valued at it’s insane. I had to trade him, ended up with an okay package but feel like I should have got more but literallly couldn’t get any traction on a deal

SpaceCowboy34

Why’d you have to trade him

NBAplaya8484

I had a QB room of Hurts, Stroud, Kyler, Goff I guess I didn’t have to trade him specifically but as a contender I couldn’t continue benching two QBs every week, I needed to turn it into points. I ended up getting Kyren Williams, JSN, and moving up 6 spots in both the 2nd & 3rd rounds RB was my teams biggest weakness and I like Kyren & I’m pretty high on JSN, higher than consensus. I tried shopping my QBs for pretty much an entire season & a half and my league literally wouldn’t bite. This is one of the better packages I got considering price and I liked the players I got back

SpaceCowboy34

Love JSN hate Kyren

Particular_Shoe3487

In this situation you sell the overpriced asset and roll with the undervalued asset and then sell the undervalued asset when it skyrockets

NBAplaya8484

I don’t disagree but you also need to understand the dynamic of my league, people wouldn’t freakin trade!! My QB3 (Kyler) was better than half the leagues QB1 and I literally tired all last year to trade and couldn’t

Particular_Shoe3487

Yep, his perceived value is low not just in your league but everywhere. I think he’s going to produce just as much, if not more than stroud. People are high on stroud so he’s easier to move. For some reason people are really dumb when it comes to Kyler. What I said actually applies more to leagues that don’t trade since the undervalued asset becomes even harder to convince the non-traders. A big shiny toy that everyone is high on is easier to move at a value more aligned with reality. In my opinion, I’d keep everyone but stroud get a great haul for him. But I’m high on Kyler and think he’s gonna be top 5-7 this year.

NBAplaya8484

I also am very high on Kyler but in a vacuum I prefer Stroud for dynasty over him, and I got a better package for Kyler than I was for stroud based on value honestly

lionsayssuhdude

I got Kyler for Goff and a late 25 first in 1qb. I know it’s probably a bit much but I’m just higher on Kyler and low on Goff.

Hugh_Grection420

I have to but would still rather have guys mentioned over him. Feel like he’s being drafted at his ceiling right now. Even if he hits he’s not going over guys like Mahomes, Stroud, Lamar etc. maybe moves up a spot or 2. In more then likely chance he is good/servicable or even a bust his value will most likely be lower in next years startup.

SpaceCowboy34

That’s probably true. But also if you send the 1.01 owner an offer of Kyler straight up he probably declines.

Hugh_Grection420

I agree. Kyler is the one that is pretty 50/50. He is an elite fantasy asset. Real life QB jury is still out on. I know in all of my leagues both redraft and dynasty. Kyler is a player that you either love or hate. I think Kyler with Marv will remind everyone how much of a cheat he is for fantasy. I would be shocked if Caleb is higher than him after this season is over.

DynastyBishops

Kyler isn't an elite fantasy asset because the jury is out on him as a real life QB. It's like a better version of Justin Fields. When they are playing they will put up high end QB1 numbers, but there's a legit question if they will have a starting job long term. I value Caleb clearly more than Kyler because he has at this moment a lot more rope to establish himself as a long term starter. If I were all in on winning now (which most 1.01 owners aren't) then I would be more likely to pick Kyler over Caleb, but I also would have to recognize that I'm risking holding an asset that could quickly zero out. Anyone trying to swap Kyler and a second for Caleb is missing the context of the team that currently has Caleb, and like with all people who scoff at having their trades rejected are missing that they're the ones that wanted the other side of the trade in the first place. You can't credibly ever act like you're doing someone a favor by trading with them.

Mike_Honcho_3

>but there's a legit question if they will have a starting job long term He just got a 5 year megadeal, I don't know who these mythical people are that are questioning if he has a starting job long term but those people clearly aren't listening to what the NFL clearly told them.

darweth

I just can't relate to this. Kyler has been a locked in long term starter his entire career up to this point and barring injuries (which I think are the real worry), I don't see that there's any indication of that changing whatsoever. I have more faith of Kyler being a locked in starter in Arizona or elsewhere than I do in him being a guaranteed fantasy asset, personally. If Kyler Murray is healthy and in the NFL he is going to be a starting QB. I think the jury has already confirmed his status and is definitely not out on a real life QB spot. Maybe he is like a better version of Justin Fields, but it's still night and day. He is the better version of Justin Fields that is already solidified. I see his rope as longer because even if he has a falling out at Arizona he already has a proven NFL body of work and he will get a call somewhere else. If Caleb bombs he might not get another shot.

TheToddFatherII

That’s how “value” in dynasty works tho. Players are worth what people will pay

Hugh_Grection420

Yea I get that but I would be willing to bet his value decreases by next season. So I would not be one of the ones buying him at his current price.

Relevant-Relief-7447

No gibbsy?

TheToddFatherII

This is a crazy list and doesn’t reflect the actual price most people/leagues value Caleb at. The top list minus Herbert, Kyler, Bijan, Breece are the ones above him. Try and offer any of those 4 (or any of the “maybes” you listed) for Caleb straight up and you will get laughed at.

Icilius

If Caleb were offered for any of the upper tier guys I listed it would be an instant decline. Why would I trade young known elite players who still have 4-8+ years left at that level for an unknown potentially elite player who has 2-10+ years?

TheToddFatherII

Startup ADP does not agree with you. Most people would accept Caleb for Herbert, Bijan, or Breece. And when people are having to actually make that decision in startups, most are picking Caleb first. He’s certainly not going 22-25 that’s a joke.

Icilius

Startup ADP is consensus. Everyone deviates from consensus and it's formed by pulling all deviations together into an aggregate. Most people would accept Caleb ahead of Herbert, Bijan, or Breece and I would not. Startup matters because if I could grab a Burrow or an Allen I'd be willing to take a chance at going straight to a competitive team and would then draft CMC, Tyreek, or Taylor over a rookie ,especially because I wouldn't have any knowledge of the trade tendencies of my opponents and trades post startup are rare anyway.

SteffeEric

Bout 12 or 13 guys max

LoserCowGoMoo

Daniels for one.
