PoopBreathSmellsBad

Thanks for the post. What’s your take on the rumor that circulated here last week regarding Kamara getting moved or cut, following his twitter post?

popswiss

I know you are asking OP, but I don’t see this happening. I think Saints ownership want to see how Carr does then draft their “QB or the future”. They are happy being competitive, but bad, this year. If I understand correctly, they still save a lot of money cutting Kamara in 2025.

Gentolie

Carr did well last year. I think he'll once again be good this year, but that doesn't matter. Carr is meant for a win now team and was that way when the Saints signed him. Saints weren't close to being competitive then, and they should be tanking right now instead of going all in with scraps. They haven't had a proper rebuild since Brees retired. I think next offseason Kamara is guaranteed gone, and Carr is most likely gone after 2026 (unless he's somehow traded next offseason).

popswiss

Saints were leading their division for a few games if I remember correctly, but otherwise agree. It’s a stall game.

Gentolie

Well, the division was just downright abysmal just year, and they still couldn't win it. Falcons, Panthers, and Bucs all got better rosters and coaching in some cases. Falcons should take that division easily, and Bucs and Panthers could definitely have a better record than the Saints this year.

CoopThereItIs

Would be a shame if that happened with the new scheme coming to town - especially if he’s cut and ends up on a split. But a guy like Joe Lombardi with Denver would force feed Kamara targets even then so we at least have some outs. With Joe Mixon he was a cut/trade candidate and he pretty much fell out of the tree and somehow landed on a higher branch…

mahones403

Yeah, but Mixon wasn't cut in June.

Barathruss

The possibility of the cut is what's really holding me back here. I have a potential trade for Nico, but the guy wants Josh Jacobs back. I could definitely ask him for Kamara (how he'd be replacing) for cheap since he doesn't value him much, but if kamara gets cut and picked up to a committee that doesn't dump off, then my RB2 spot just took a huge downgrade. I guess I have aaron jones.

Bitlovin

If they were cutting him it would be done by now.

Boloooo

If you can get Kamara for cheap and Nico for Jacobs, that’s a smash accept for me. Even if Kamara gets cut, I still see him having a significant role on a team. I’m also a bit lower on Jacobs than most - Packers traditionally split backfields and I think many are assuming he’ll be a workhorse. Aaron Jones isn’t ideal at RB2 but really isn’t a bad option, especially if Kamara fills a flex spot.

Crazy_Attention172

i agree he might be a buy for win now but thats because i believe he will be cut or traded and go to a better team. saints save so much money if they get rid of him. then again if he stays, carr is a dump off king

omnicious

What would be a better situation for Kamara to produce than the Saints?

SteffeEric

Dallas and KC are two of the better spots. Probably wouldn’t get the volume but would probably make up for it with improved efficiency and more TDs.

mlippay

KC seems unlikely. Dallas I could see. KC has Pacheco and their cap situation is dire.

SteffeEric

I think KC has like 15-17 million available in cap space so they could go after him if they wanted.

dimesniffer

Dallas probably.

Working-Bar-9146

Dallas

Fit-Remove-6597

Nowhere. With his abysmal YPC he’d be lucky to be a second stringer anywhere other than the Saints.

SteffeEric

His YPC was the same as Saquon last year and Saquon just got paid. Kamara has lost half a step but that Saints offense did him no favors run blocking.

Trader_07

It helps to actually watch and try to understand football. If your only going off YPC Barkley is a second stringer too. Might as well add rachaad white to that list as well.

Cifra00

I hear you but Rachaad White kinda might belong on that list

Trader_07

He’s not the most efficient but I also think that line didn’t do him any favors. A lot of people are really high on Zach moss and I’d be curious to see what white would have done behind that line. I’m also curious to see what moss is going to do behind that bengals line. If had to guess his efficiency is going down.

telemaster9

I bet he doesn’t get cut. Source: I got a feeling

huracan_huracan

they don't really "save" much, just spread the dead cap over two years.

PlatitudinousOcelot

When has Carr ever been a dump off king

telemaster9

Last year… go look at some of Kamaras target numbers

PlatitudinousOcelot

Yeah I understand last year because Carr has lost most of his skill, I guess I thought you meant he did it his whole career

dimesniffer

He plays super scared and dumps it off a shit ton

PlatitudinousOcelot

Not in the past, maybe the most recent year or 2.

CoopThereItIs

Sup guys? Been looking at some values right now and I think Alvin Kamara could absolutely crush this year - especially in full PPR. The article hits all the details but it's the perfect meeting of talent, scheme, opportunity, and cost. I think if you plan to try to compete this year or next, Kamara is a guy to target. Let me know what you think!

Ko0pa_Tro0pa

[https://x.com/fball\_insights/status/1765543940915171392](https://x.com/fball_insights/status/1765543940915171392) I'm really liking Kendre this year. It sure looks like Kamara will be yet another guy that falls off the cliff at age 29, even though it could be argued he did that last year but dump offs propped up his fantasy output enough to mask it.

blumpkinmuncher

seems like more than just a talent chart if players like Bijan are charted worse than Mattison.

Ko0pa_Tro0pa

I wouldn't say it appears perfectly accurate at predicting elite talent (although I'm not surprised to see Chubb where he is), but it feels like a major red flag to be in the bottom left quadrant.

wazzupkneegrows

Having Kendre and Kamara may finally pay off this year. Kendre was always a hold for a year and he had flashes with his ability to catch and run last year.

SteffeEric

I took him in both recent startups I did. The Saints offense is kinda sad so I wouldn’t mind seeing him on the market. Either way he’ll be a solid RB2 at the least in PPR. He was RB3 in ppg in that format last year.

taylorjosephrummel

I traded a 2nd and future 3rd for him. He's currently my RB3 (I have Josh Jacobs and Derrick Henry starting above him), and I have Aaron Jones and Jonathan Brooks on my bench, also. Figured I'd do well to have depth as a contender and because I moved Saquon, also.

Working-Bar-9146

Kamara>Henry in a PPR league

JulioForte

He’s worth a 2nd. Nothing more, nothing less

AntiVaxPureBlood

To the people who keep saying he's being cut, what are the saints waiting for? Christmas? It's June 3rd already

thenifreekedit

Maybe he’ll post a sick workout video and the cowboys might send a 7th

fsck_

Last conversation on this it was stated that they were the one team that did already use both designations.

Reasonable-Mud-4575

Tried Rachaad white for him straight up last year pretty early in the season, thankful that was declined.

FunnyLeast3597

No. Don’t buy spoiled produce.

The_B_Squad_23

June 3rd...but I can't win until December...am i still in position?

Ienjoygambling

Would you rather have jaylen warren or kamara

ripout

Kamara personally, but I'm less high on Warren than others.

BigBootyBanger

Tried hard to get AK. Ended up flipping Kendre instead. Dennis Allen on the hot seat has me worried this could get ugly

Ko0pa_Tro0pa

>Dennis Allen on the hot seat has me worried this could get ugly I've been saying for a while that this could be a dumpster fire. I can think of no reason other than an expected tank year that the Saints would've brought back Allen. They are in cap hell so it makes sense to just eat shit this year and let someone else have a fresh start. However, they already fucked this up by making one or two post-6/1 cut designations. If they were really going to set themselves up well for 2025, they would've eaten the cap this year. Post-6/1 designations spread the cap hit to both years.

Accurate_Green8300

What’s Kamara worth these days? A 3rd? I have Kendre on my bench chillin

huracan_huracan

try offer a 3rd, buy you'll likely get laughed at.

Accurate_Green8300

Meh I don’t really care if I get laughed at lol. Dudes in my league be sending bullshit trades my all the time lol. Last year same guy who owns AK offered me a 2nd for Garrett Wilson.. lmao Thanks for the input!! 🙏🏼

huracan_huracan

that's why i said try!

Accurate_Green8300

For sure! I agree with ya 🤙🏼

Working-Bar-9146

Last year during his suspension I bought him for a 2025 2nd & 3rd.. as a contender I'd still do the same today.

FigoStep

A tale as old as time

invalid4545

Well…shoot…I didn’t really want reasons to a acquire Kamara, but now they are stuck in my head. Nice article though!

AchroMac

2nd would be the most I'd give especially if I'm in the position to win already.

92tilinfinityand

We have some ADP data and have seen some startups happen this year, so looking at the RBs taken around him: Rhamondre, White, Spears, Najee, Montgomery Would you take Kamara over every single one of these guys as a contender?

CoopThereItIs

I would take Rhamondre and White but in full PPR I’d take Kamara if I was playing to win. That ADP for Tyjae Spears makes no sense to me honestly.

egorrito

Everyone? No. Monty (even with Gibbs) and White I am 100% taking over. As for the other 3, I do not trust their offenses enough to put them in positions to succeed.

geladro

As a contender? Yes. Maaaaaaaaybe White

ijpck

I got Kamara Bowers (1.12) and ARSB for DJ Moore and Jayden Daniels (1.03)

Lanky-Gain-80

My team is a win now and I sold Kamara….with Kendre Miller and Jamal Williams still set to phase in. Kamara seems to be more limited to carry the full weight.

ApphrensiveLurker

Traded Metcalf for Kamara and Kendre. Needed RBs bad. Hoping Kendre is next up.

SuckaFreeRIP

Hate that trade
