If I had 1.01 I would have taken him there too.Ā
In fact I seem to remember trying to trade up the one spot - however that might just be a detail Iāve added through the series of night terrors Iāve had.Ā
Many dunning-Kruger sufferers out there who just bs themselves so much they think they actually have a talent for well talent evaluation.
People treat it as such, but it's not at all about having this inner-genius with a crystal ball gut who can just read a list of names and guess who's gonna be good or not
- i swear a lot of ppl bs so much they never even bother to bing search players, just go off the pro's lists and guess. Thats not a skill, you'd be better off picking players by dice roll lol
That draft was pretty weak and I remember people juggling between him and Kyler. Painful in retrospect considering Kyler, AJ Brown, DK and Josh Jacobs. Hell even Diontae.
I was gonna take him 1.04 but got a trade offer I really liked to move back to 1.06. He got sniped at 1.05 and I had to settle for AJ Brown. Absolute bullet dodged lol
Thatās awesome lol. Thatās why I always tell people (who are not in my league) to hang onto those rookies a bit longer than you want. Might play out like AJB. Worst case scenario you miss out on selling them low. I also love to snatch year two guys for cheap and wait on them myself.
Rolling waivers or FAAB? If rolling then getting yourself as high as possible right now is the move so you're positioned to get somebody actually good after a week 1 breakout
There's a guy in my league that (I hope ironically) has him as an untradable piece and the "captain" of his team. He's the profile picture and everything. He has dropped better player's but simply can't do Harry dirty like that. A loyal manager, I respect him.
The taco of my league used to be a guy who named his team "MostLikely2ManyPats" because he would always fill out his team with Pats players and D and kicker...including when they sucked after Brady left lmao. He 100% would add Harry now. Shit, he may still. But he has got a LOT better.
We just did a new startup with him in it and the draft finished yesterday and league ranking sites have him in the top 5. He learned! He took Pats D a little early but that was it!
EDIT: just realized Harry is not on the Pats anymore lol
Today I learned that other people play with defenses and kickers in dynasty besides my shitty league where the commissioner is too stubborn to even make a poll on it to vote them out
I have one league where its no kickers but we do have defenses. We actually were considering not having D/K in this league because its a 16 team bestball league so everyone will be rostering 2 and none will ever be available on waivers (for D anyways). But we also have very small starting rosters (1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 flex) which helps make the 16 teams work but would leave us with only 6 starters with no D/K which we seemed like it would feel bad to us.
To each their own but I find kickers and defenses to be annoying and honestly just dumb in dynasty. Have absolutely no place in it imo.
Imagine working on your team for years just to lose in the finals because Jesus boy Bukter randomly scored 27 points. Iād lose my mind
IDP I could get into tho
We play with kickers and it's getting quite old but people seem to like the randomness of it
I've got Daniel Carlson who has gone K3-K1-K1-K23. Not at all his fault the offense fell apart last season, if it's a QB or TE a fall off like that either means washed or injured but with a kicker it's just variance. Blowing a bench spot on another one isn't worth it but dropping him for a new one to try to get better is also a major risk. Ugh
Keeptradecut probably is the most popular just because their website is pretty big. There's also some other stand alone services if you google dynasty league ranker. I think a lot of paid fantasy sites offer it as well.
lol the taco of my dynasty that is only one year in has a team average age of 28.8 and has latavious Murray, Calvin cook and Leonard fournette on his bench. He definitely has some fab on this one š¤£
Highly improbable Harry will be fantasy relevant. Especially with Hockenson locked into the Vikings roster for the next four years. However, this does seem like the Vikings best move to salvage his career.
This is true. RIP.
To be fair I think the NFL wasn't ready for his skillset and size combo back then. Vikes tried to use him by getting the ball into his hands on screens and manufactured touches, but never really found a consistent role for his utility... besides returner.
Only one I can think of was Waller and he transitioned year two, but then wasn't fantasy relevant until year five. Though there was more to that late breakout and wasn't long lasting.
I've often heard Harry is a good blocker. This seems more designed to work toward that end and seems unlikely he ends up with any fantasy relevance. But hey, who knows.
Never works with bigger name busts. These guys are only getting the opportunity because of their name. They still suck at football. Better to be on the look out for the guys who are still making rosters with no name. Waller and Juwan are 2 guys off the top of my head who have made this transition.
No.
The absolute best case miracle scenario is that he somehow picks up a new position that typically takes a long time to develop fast enough to have a one or two good games while Hockenson is still recovering from injury and then immediately falls back into irrelevancy again for fantasy purposes once Hockenson returns. But maybe he gets to play in the NFL a little longer as an emergency backup option in real NFL terms.
There is no outcome here greater than that.
I want to say another team made him a TE and he still sucked. Arizona maybe? I remember because like two years ago I saw him on the waiver and he had TE next to his name.
I added him today.
I'm also in a league with extremely deep rosters where TEs score 2 points per reception...so yeah, I'll take the chance on a guy claiming the #2 TE spot and reviving his career while Hock is out to start the season. He's the last man sitting on my bench.
99% of the time he's a drop midway through preseason, but there's always that chance that he becomes relevant again.
He could block well enough to still get playing time for Belichick.
Doesnāt say much, and thereās a less than 0.01% chance heās ever fantasy relevant, but itās kinda cool he might see the field again. Just like, from a general positivity standpoint. Insert, are you winning son meme
UPDATE: As of this update, 15,000 people have added Harry to their dynasty squads, he now sits in the #2 sopt on trending players via Sleeper š
āYouāre a tight end, Harry.ā
āIām a butt?ā
A Harry tight end
š
šØ
I took him 1.02 his rookie year.Ā This isnāt relevant to this post but I just really wanted to get it off my chest.Ā
If it makes you feel any better, I took him 1.01.
If I had 1.01 I would have taken him there too.Ā In fact I seem to remember trying to trade up the one spot - however that might just be a detail Iāve added through the series of night terrors Iāve had.Ā
I was super confident he was gonna bust and got downvoted to fucking oblivion in this sub every time I said anything lol.
Shut the fuck up!Ā ā¦ just kidding.Ā
Still getting downvoted to oblivion I see. Smh, people are so critical these days. Let the dude take his victory lap!
Itās not even a hard thing to predict so people should chill. How many good WRs did Belichick draft???? We all know the answer.
Many dunning-Kruger sufferers out there who just bs themselves so much they think they actually have a talent for well talent evaluation. That draft was pretty weak and I remember people juggling between him and Kyler. Painful in retrospect considering Kyler, AJ Brown, DK and Josh Jacobs. Hell even Diontae.
TJ hockenson, deebo, scary terry, Jalen Hurd (originally misread it as Jalen Hurts)
Hurts was 2020
Lol, I read Jalen Hurd and my brain switched it to Hurts
We know but heās talking bout Hurd the WR for the niners that never played a game cus he kept being on IR every yr
Oh yea Hurts! I remembered TJ but donāt think I was high on him with the Lions landing.
I think I traded a future first to draft him at 1.08. I was in love with him as a prospect
I was gonna take him 1.04 but got a trade offer I really liked to move back to 1.06. He got sniped at 1.05 and I had to settle for AJ Brown. Absolute bullet dodged lol

He went 1.01 in my leagueĀ
He was a fucking stud!Ā
I traded Deebo for 1.02 and took him there š
I saw him drafted at 1.02 and the traded for Ekeler
Him and Treylon Burks were seen as 1.01 front runners at this time before their final college seasons.. whoās gonna be that guy this year lol
I could see Odunze being a flop, but obviously Iāve been very wrong beforeĀ
As did I, my brother in disappointment.
The taco of your league already has a claim in on him
Iām putting a claim in on him and dropping Ty Johnson. Super deep benches why the fuck not
Rolling waivers or FAAB? If rolling then getting yourself as high as possible right now is the move so you're positioned to get somebody actually good after a week 1 breakout
Faab.

Itās been two full seasons since Harry was on the Pats lol
Today I learned that other people play with defenses and kickers in dynasty besides my shitty league where the commissioner is too stubborn to even make a poll on it to vote them out

What startup rankings sites are popular?
Keeptradecut probably is the most popular just because their website is pretty big. There's also some other stand alone services if you google dynasty league ranker. I think a lot of paid fantasy sites offer it as well.
The Taco of my league doesn't know who he is
That taco won the championship last year after trading all his studs for 1st round picks
lol the taco of my dynasty that is only one year in has a team average age of 28.8 and has latavious Murray, Calvin cook and Leonard fournette on his bench. He definitely has some fab on this one š¤£
If they didn't already have a top Tight End I would have considered the free roll add.
Literally just got picked up 5mins ago off waivers from the last-place finishing team. Heāll never learn lol.
I'm dropping Ertz for him
Drop Micheal Corley for him? Fuck it, it won't matter anyways lol
Doing a TE premium startup right now, kinda want to message this out to the group so someone else burns a pick on him
DO IT! (said in Palpatine voice)
Highly improbable Harry will be fantasy relevant. Especially with Hockenson locked into the Vikings roster for the next four years. However, this does seem like the Vikings best move to salvage his career.
He might have a temporary moment, hockenson will be starting the year on the PUP
Tonyan
Hey, they did it with Cordarelle. š¤·āāļø Edit: derp
Did what? Atlanta changed him to running back
Oh yeah lol The old squishy computer just ain't what it used to be.
You could argue the Vikings changed him from a WR to a mere kick returner.
This is true. RIP. To be fair I think the NFL wasn't ready for his skillset and size combo back then. Vikes tried to use him by getting the ball into his hands on screens and manufactured touches, but never really found a consistent role for his utility... besides returner.
Ah, the Hakeem Butler career trajectory
Hahaha thatās literally the opposite direction you want to go in.
Trying to remember a time the WR to TE conversion has worked out for fantasy players... Drawing a blank.
Waller
Probably the best example. Forgot about Waller.
I wish I did too. Unfortunately that horrendous music video has imprinted itself on my brain
Logan Thomas worked at TE but 1. He was a QB not a WR and 2. It took years before he was a fantasy relevant asset
Didnāt Delaney Walker convert from a receiver?
No he was drafted as a TE/FB. He played some WR for Harbaugh when Jim went to SF.
Juwan Johnson sorta, he was a WR at one point in college. But itās a pretty different situation for a lot of reasons.
Johnny Wilson will be moved sooner than later. Iād put money on it
Kittle was a WR in college I think
Never works with bigger name busts. These guys are only getting the opportunity because of their name. They still suck at football. Better to be on the look out for the guys who are still making rosters with no name. Waller and Juwan are 2 guys off the top of my head who have made this transition.
Your TE room would have to be abysmal to even consider this
Higbee and Tyler Hudson bad enough?
...no
Can't clear a spot if you never dropped him............. ^^^weep
I'm not buying into this or the Trey Sermon news. Nope.
Hope you guys sold high on Hock
The ole Hakeem Butler/JJAW approach.
Kelvin āBottomless Cheeseburgersā Benjamin
JJAW still hurts my heart
Jordan Matthews too lol
2nd string TEs donāt usually produce very well
Maybe heās somehow good at blocking and theyāre like āyouāre just going to do that full time nowā
He's very good at it, actually
my TE room is Muth and Darren Waller (retired) yes unfortunately I might
No. The absolute best case miracle scenario is that he somehow picks up a new position that typically takes a long time to develop fast enough to have a one or two good games while Hockenson is still recovering from injury and then immediately falls back into irrelevancy again for fantasy purposes once Hockenson returns. Burks would kill for this kind of career path
If heās on your roster I want you in my league
It is crazy, what fuck BB saw in this guy
First round WR bust all the time lol
Treylon. Burks.
For a third string tight end?
You can't make me.
No.
When this actually works I'll start rostering these busts
The next Hakeem butler
You can fool me twice!
No
Nope.
Yes. Yes we are.
I want to say another team made him a TE and he still sucked. Arizona maybe? I remember because like two years ago I saw him on the waiver and he had TE next to his name.
You're probably thinking of JJAW or current Cardinals WR-turned-TE Elijah Higgins. Edit: Hakeem Butler!
Man is so bow legged lol wow
No, we are not.
No. Hock back midseason, heās not even ahead of freakin Nick Muse
Thatās the best number 3 TE in the league to you, mister!
Johnny Mundt and Josh Oliver also exist so Harry is a temp TE4, soon TE5
Take the L
I dropped Toney for him in a 2X TEP league because why not? One first round bust for another
He's still in the league???
If you have Hockensen you probably should if Harry ends up as TE2
Nope
He's good enough for a bye week filler
I added him today. I'm also in a league with extremely deep rosters where TEs score 2 points per reception...so yeah, I'll take the chance on a guy claiming the #2 TE spot and reviving his career while Hock is out to start the season. He's the last man sitting on my bench. 99% of the time he's a drop midway through preseason, but there's always that chance that he becomes relevant again.
Lmao
JJAW has entered the chat
Not unless you have like 13 bench spots lol
Well Taysom Hill is now listed at QB instead of TE, so no reason to keep him in 1QB. Might as well add this guy
Heās still listed as both in sleeper.
He could block well enough to still get playing time for Belichick. Doesnāt say much, and thereās a less than 0.01% chance heās ever fantasy relevant, but itās kinda cool he might see the field again. Just like, from a general positivity standpoint. Insert, are you winning son meme
Only if you're stupidĀ
