I have lots of Amon ra and Pittman shares because they weren't properly valued the last year or two. Also have a lot of najee and Dameon Pierce shares so it goes both ways

edwardsamson

In 2020 I drafted Kenny Golladay in either the 2nd or 3rd. Right after he left Detroit for NY. Tanked my season. But have no fear if you do something similar yall I made it to the championship in year 3 of the league.

False-Fallacy

My favorite league drafted in 2020. My startup highlights include Tyreek 1.09, AJB 3.09, and Diggs 6.04 Lowlights are drafting Deshaun Watson as my QB1 over Josh Allen, taking Daniel Jones over Burrow, Tua and Justin Jefferson, then lastly I took Van Jefferson the pick before Jalen Hurts lol

jbburneeeeee

I got very Lucky in a startup 2 years ago. 1st- Kyler 2nd- Deshaun 3rd - AJB - (traded for 2 firsts and 2 seconds) 4th- no picks (traded for 5th and 8th round picks) 5th - Michael Pittman and Kirk Cousins (Sold kirk for a first) 6th - Garrett Wilson 7th - Hockenson 8th - Jamo and Hollywood 9th - Davis Mills :( 10th - Dotson : ( 11th - Dameon Pierce (sold for a first) 12th - Trey McBride :) 13th - Tyler Allgeier 14th - John Metchie :( 15th - Zamir White :) 16th- Evan Engram :) 17th - 22nd :( 23rd- Jerome Ford :/ 24th-25th :( 26th - Isiah Likely Rest are not on anyone's roster Selling Kirk and Dameon for two firsts (turned into Zay Flowers and JSN) Selling AJB turned into (Gibbs/Kendre Miller/2.08/Tee Higgins (traded 1.08))

jbburneeeeee

Ended up with 1.01 after the first year, won the ship the second year.

Inbred-InBed

CEH got me good :(. Dont worry, I pivoted and drafted treylon the next year.

daddyice69

Who are you targeting this year? …just curious

Inbred-InBed

Lol hey now I have since learned. (probably) Last year: Bijan, Achane, and Downs. Picked up Puka 6.1 last year (this probably saved my ass) This year: Nabers, AD, and Pearsall

daddyice69

Love all those picks. I feel like Coleman is the most likely to be this year’s Burks, but I really don’t know if I can stop myself from picking him in the late first.

Inbred-InBed

Thanks my dude. Also, same exact boat with keon. Was high on him but with the huge caveat of 'damn I wish he could separate in college'. Loved his combine, hands of actual glue, on-field-quickness, Josh allen offence, but damnit those routes are toughhh. He ended up being snagged in our 1qb league 1.8. I passed up worthy at 10 tbh for AD. Fading worth personally.

DJayBomaye

We started in 2019 & I have no one from my original roster. My last player from the OG startup, Diggs was at 2.08. Traded him + for Amon Ra + at the start of last season. Was my favorite player, shit hurt but gotta do what you gotta do!

Cifra00

Wow! My 2019 startup is the total opposite. Start 10, and 7 of my projected starters are guys from the startup (down from 9 last year)

bronton21

Nico Collins 17th rd last summer

Shaved_Hubes

OP this is gonna sound like more of a personal attack than I intend it to lol, but Fields over JJ and Chase was never anything other than insane. Don’t care about QB value in superflex, don’t care about rushing upside, don’t care about any of it, the dude was never a good real life QB and valuing him that high in dynasty was absurd. Sure he had promise and put up gaudy stats for a season, but even at that point there were plenty of rumblings that he could lose his job in a year. Taking that much of an unknown over two receivers that both had top 5 all time starts to their careers and had zero questions about their talent is pretty indefensible imo.

_Kindakrazy_

This happens often in this sub and the community tbh. Difference between scoreboard watchers and people who watch the tape. The tape don’t lie. The man couldn’t read a field to save his life and at no point did this change yet people were in on him until the end. If a QB isn’t a threat as a passer they are doomed. The end.

2021 preseason Good picks - Kupp round 7, Pollard round 15, Nico Collins Round 24 Bad Picks - CEH round 3, Hines round 10

No-Boysenberry4464

1.01 in my first SF startup I took CMC. It was all our first superflex dynasty, Dalvin Cook was also top 5

DynastyDaddy95

Sounds like you just suck at scouting real talent brother

No-Option-6164

My team now consists of players like: TLaw, Drake Maye, MHJ, Zay, Tee Higgins, Laporta. So it ain’t too bad

swalsh21

Took Trey lance in the 2nd round of a 16t SF best ball, somehow still won

leswanbronson

I have 4 players left from my initial draft - Dak, CD, Hockenson, and Adams (who I traded away year 2 and just traded for again). So nope! Kind of gutting too to see where some guys went; Burrow in the late 2nd (coming off his rookie season injury), Chase in the 5th (just after all those drops in practice), Hurts in the 6th or 7th I think. ARSB went in the 9th.

AloneEstablishment28

In 2019 I got josh Allen for $2 auction dollars (of $200) and CMC so yes, I crushed it.

etceturon

Took me pretty much the whole year to realize my start-up draft went pretty badly. I had pick 12 in a 16-teamer where you start 1 RB. Took Saquon first and KW on the way back. (Gutpunch a week later when Seattle drafted Charbonnet). For 3 and 4 I went Fields and Andrews. First WR was DHop. Oof. At least I did well in the following rookie draft, snagging Addison and Dell. Made play-offs and fell out quick.

Indymizzum

I was in a startup SF early last year where I made bad 50/50 decisions almost every round. Round 1: Chase over most available QBs and JJ Round 2: Waddle over ARSB This is the big one: Round 4: Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. I hate myself every time I look at my team.

thelley

In my 2018 startup I took Saquon Barkley (at 1.01), Pat Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, DJ Moore, and Christian Kirk who are all still on my team.

thelley

For more fun Mahomes was my 3rd QB behind Tyrod Taylor and Marcus Mariota. I also had Evan Engram but I traded him at some point and drafted James Conner but traded him in a trade that netted me Derek Henry in 2022.

ApolloKid

I had the WORST startup in our entire league in 2019. Somehow managed to get a championship since then but I started at the bottom. Zeke and Diggs were my only good pick. 12 Team 1QB 0.5 PPR. Some of the picks I made are mind boggling.. I've learned a lot since then ha * 1.02 Zeke * 2.11 Diggs * 3.02 Rashaad Penny * 4.11 Josh Gordon * 5.02 Alshon Jeffrey * 6.11 Mike Williams * 7.02 Jimmy G * 8.11 Trey Burton * 9.02 Corey Clement * 10.11 Jordan Reed * 11.02 Kalen Ballage * 12.11 Keelan Cole * 13.02 Jake Butt * 14.11 Chargers D * 15.02 Stafford * 16.11 Albert Wilson * 17.02 Jaylen Samuels * 18.11 Daurice Fountain * 19.02 Chicago D * 20.11 Jaleel Scott

coletrain2481

I would say I did OK in the start-up draft: I made some really good picks but also royally fucked up others lol. Thankfully I have drafted fairly well since then. Notable start-up picks (2019): Davante Adams (1:09)✅ , Kerryon Johnson (3:09) ❌, Derrius Guice (5.09) ❌, Cooper Kupp (7:09)✅, Cam Newton (8.2) ❌, Josh Allen (10.2) , D.K. Metcalf (11.9) ✅

BobDanovic

This is self-torture. In a 2021 start-up, my team ended up being: QB: Dak, Zach Wilson, Jimmy G RB: Saquon, JK Dobbins, Cam Akers, CEH, Myles Gaskin, Raheem Mostert, Rhamondre Stevenson WR: Allen Robinson, Julio Jones, Courtland Sutton, Tyler Boyd, Mecole Hardman, Terrace Marshall TE: Hunter Henry, Brevin Jordan It was bad. Very Very bad. I cleared house. As soon as any of them spiked in value, I would sell them. I was buying guys like Jordan Love who lost value sitting behind ARod, buy WR when they get a hamstring injury, Sell JK whenever he comes back from his injury and has a big game, etc. Then I put in big offseason work, selling picks at when rookie hype ramps up, and drafting steals later who had potential. My core team is my team now: QB: Hurts, Burrow RB: Etienne, Kamara, Kendre WR: Puka, Tee, Waddle, D Smith, D Johnson, McConkey TE: LaPorta, Henry, Everett There is still some work to be done, but I consistently have made the playoffs and even snuck into some winnings. It's what makes dynasty so good.

jmart762

Startup last year and absolutely bombed it. Finished 11/12 and didn’t have my first (also traded my 2023 first during start up). I only have a few players remaining from it: Rodgers, Jetta and Lance (lol). Love my team though, been grinding through lots of trades and this is my current core: QBs- Richardson, Maye, McCarthy, Rodgers, Lock, Lance RBs- Brooks, Spears, Allgeier, Davis, Estime WRs- Jetta, Puka, London, JSN, Burton, Baker TEs- Bowers, Mayer (bummer), Kraft Picks: four 2025 firsts This year will be a development year but the future looks much brighter.

dynasty-report

2021 Got Trey Lance at 4.03 so no… my startup was horrible outside of Lamar and AJB

pic3789

I picked Michael Thomas with my first pick in 2020 in a 14 team SF league. Yet to make the playoffs.

BlueLine_Haberdasher

lolno Picked 1.09 in 12tm 1qb ppr. I convinced myself I was gonna be the Kyle Pitts owner and have a set it and forget it top 5 TE for the next 10 years. Javonte Williams unexpectedly fell to me at 1.09 and I picked him instead, but luckily Kyle Pitts made it through the turn and I took him at 2.04. Took JK Dobbins in the 3rd. Tried to trade up in mid rounds to grab Olave or Garrett Wilson. No luck on either, picked up Burks and Dotson in the next few rounds as consolation prizes. Waited on QB and grabbed Trey Lance as my QB1.

GreatDanton7

2020 SF start up. Crushed: Rodgers 5.06, Kirk 8.07, Goedert 9.06, Pollard 11.06 Whiffed: Michael Thomas 1.06, Golladay 3.06, Le'Veon 6.07. Jeudy 1.07 in rookie draft as WR1

CrixalFPS

We redrafted last year as a result of increasing to 12 teams, I was pick 11. 1.11 - Garret Wilson 2.2 - Amon-Ra 3.11 Mark Andrew's (Who I then traded along with a 2024 3rd round for Jake Ferguson + Breece Hall as part of a 3 way trade in week 2). 4.2 - Justin Herbert 5.11 - Miles Sanders (please kill me) 6.2 - JSN 7.11 - Gibson (my RB streak is hot right now) 8.1 - Charbonnet Rest of my picks were w.e, picked up Kyler in round 14. I ended up 12th (some tanking) thanks to my terrible RBs and now have 1.1+1.2 this year.

BenjaminPhranklin

Our startup was 3 years ago, my first 5 picks are still on my team and carried me to a championship last year. 10 team SF PPR  1.08 - Dak  1.09 - JT  2.02 - Saquon  4.02 - Lamb  6.06 - Hockenson

i_like_my_cats

2020 I may have had the worst draft of all time: Kyler Murray, George Kittle, JK Dobbins, Baker Mayfield, DJ Chark Jr. were rounds 1-5. Best picks: Justin Herbert (rd 10), Evan Engram (round 7) Worst picks: Henry Ruggs (round 9), all picks round 11-23. Moved some guys for 1st rounders… In the next 3 years I had drafted Jamarr Chase, Kyle Pitts, CJ Stroud, Chris Olave, Jameson Williams, Jahmyr Gibbs as my 1st round picks. Then used Jamo to acquire AJ Brown. Team is now a powerhouse after being debatably the worst team of all time.

Naive_Squirrel3058

I’d say the burks/ Carr picks are on you, even at the time those are terrible
