The Wait Remix brings back great memories. Kygo should release the I See Fire Remix too

Equal_Perception_541

Damn yes that remix needs to be on Spotify !!!

Diavoletto21

It was on Spotify for the longest time but it got taken down a couple years ago, no idea why

yousefmkamal

such an amazing album , I love how really different some songs are from each other .

GenNATO49

While I don’t think this album reaches the highs of Golden Hour, it is fantastic and I love the differences between the songs and how he experimented a little bit. The Feeling, Surrender, and Fade Away are all great

Mr_Bacon547

Damn he cooked with this album. You can hear his signature chill sound on everything but more modern. Very cleanly produced.

musicproducer07

Fade Away my beloved

Equal_Perception_541

Absolutely loved the album !!! Really loved the variety and experiments done by kygo , the production is top notch , vocals are really amazing (really loved to him collaborating with artists like Sandro , Sasha , Julia Michaels , Zak etc again ) Kygo did amazing job seriously ( a lot of people were criticising him for not experimenting with his style but in this album he absolutely did ) ( it was smart to release singles like Whatever , For life which are his typical style , while also releasing experimental songs in the album ) I loved all the songs from album tbh ( some of my favourites would be For life , Without you from singles ) From the new songs I really loved Found another love , louder ; lighthouse , feeling , surrender, love me now or lose me later etc And yes of course the nostalgia of m83 remix and the classic tropical sound

TheseDoubt9268

Can’t do it on my own gives me huge Avicii vibes.

PuzzleheadedKale722

I’ve been saying the same- it gave me chills

Equal_Perception_541

Here is my individual review of each track from album (just sharing how I felt with you guys :) , I am not a critic of course The Intro is amazing, love the instrumental , Really makes me excited for the album The feeling is really amazing song to start the album , Sigrid Vocals are really amazing especially during the buildups , the drop is amazing Whatever is quite good , love the last buildup of the song Surrender is amazing, love the vocals (the buildup of the song kinda reminds of those melodic Dubstep songs ) The drop in it is really amazing and different Can’t do it my own and Jonas brother collab are really unique from usual kygo stuff and I love the vibes from them Me before you is quite good , love the production and buildup (reminds me of Not ok by kygo ) Love light house a lot , love the Kygo vibes from it , really chill and Relaxing song Found another love is so so good , gives me really amazing feeling , it’s just perfect in my opinion , kygo at its best Louder again is really unique and I loved it a lot , I love the vocals from both artists ( really love male - female duo songs ) Kygo absolutely killed it with the production in this one , one of my favourites Fade away is amazing , love that sandro is back once again for doing vocals and piano is amazing ( different from their recent collabs) Hold on is quite chill Let go is really good , love its vocals and production is great too For life is probably my favourite all time kygo song (it has been on repeat for me since its release , it is the typical Kygo song you would love ) Without you is amazing, love the Progressive drop and Hayla vocals are top notch No words are needed for Wait (its nostalgia and happy to see it releasing on Spotify) You can feel is quite good again Love me now or lose me later I really amazing song to finish the album with amazing vocals and lovely drop

xHunterrr_

Bro you could say It's fuckin amazing from the begenning becauese i'm totally agree with you

Equal_Perception_541

I know mate I completely agree with you :) I just loved the album so much and couldn’t stop myself from writing about each song individually with you guys

xHunterrr_

Yeah he really did great on this album even if some snippets didn't make it but still love the ones we got

Equal_Perception_541

Yess hopefully those snippets might see day of release in future

Natedog_2113

My linguistic analysis tells me you actually talking with a she-bro, in case you were curious

tommydotcom

Was so excited to see Sigrid on this album.. especially on the first track and it certainly sets the tone and how awesome to have a fellow Norwegian on it with him! That melody is perfection 🤌🏼

almar7

Just started listening to this, found the album in flac quality.. I'll be right back.

Equal_Perception_541

I am listening currently and will write my review when it ends 😁 loving it a lot currently

WillTrefiak

Damn this reminds me of le golden age of EDM thanks Kygo for releasing KYGO the most original piece of electronic music to come out since le golden big room age

WillTrefiak

(but also unironically this is one of the dudes that made me fall in love with electronic music and even though I'm a huge basshead now I still appreciate the role he played in my character arc)

TheNormalOne8

Drop of The Feeling sounds like Kygo version of Slow lane ( Armin van Buuren) song

Administrative_Lab13

Please NEVER compare Kygo to Armin. Omg that’s offensive. Armin is a generational talent

TheNormalOne8

What? I just said that the song sounds similar to Armin. how is that offensive?

AnDob24

Good stuff. I don't think anyone was expecting something groundbreaking, but Kygo exceeded my expectations at least. Personal opinions on the tracks: Wait remix: One of Kygo's all time work anyway, unfair to compare with other things here Louder, Love Me Now, Let Go - Favourites definitely but but man if they could have better drops (underwhelming for how good the rest of part is) Lighthouse, The Feeling, Surrender - Top-tier and highs of the album Me Before You, For Life, Whatever, You Can Feel - Catchy Without You, Found Another Love, Intro, Hold On, Healing - Kinda mid Fade Away, Can't Do It on My Own - Different but not my type (I love Sandro so much - was bummed I didn't particularly enjoyed his track on the album) Overall a solid 7/10 I guess.

I_Am_Vandalism

Surrender, the feeling, lighthouse and fade away are so good. I would put it equally best album with cloud nine especially because of how experimental this was.

cafecats

Omfg I have yet to listen but I am hyped to read this cloud nine is still #1 for me

LooseJuice_RD

I was NOT expecting Fade Away as it came up on the album. Honestly incredible song.

maxza

Seeing quite a lot of down votes for calling it mid but i don't think a single song comes close to the emotions from stole the show, freeze, this town, or stargazing. I'm a sucker for the heavy hitting emotional songs. Nothing from the album came close to the emotional journey that freeze starts me on with just the first two notes of the piano. Lighthouse is nice and pretty original, most others were solid but none really caught me with the feels like I've come to expect with kygo. Vocals on fade away are incredible and i feel like he put in a great effort with love me now or lose me later. It should've been longer, an extended mix with a double drop at least. I give it a 6/10. Tough critic I know but I really wouldn't put a single (new) song on my top 5 from him 😕. Def felt a bit Avicii-y with the variety of songs but I'd say most are generic pop bops at best.

MichaelMichael8

I still think the Ava max collab is the best one on here! Great stuff

oliverdtsmith

Kygo’s most mid album by far, nothing is standing out to me

goodv1besonly

lol you must be a Stole the show kinda guy

oliverdtsmith

How did you come to that conclusion?

Majestic-Fondant-670

Beautifully shit. This album reaches the threshold of so cheesy it gave me lactose intolerance. Never was a fan of the bloke but this is... profoundly not interesting.

norad2

Did you actually listen to the album? All you do is comment on posts saying how shit the song is and how it’s the wrong genre. Some kind of dumb elitist shit.

Majestic-Fondant-670

Are you ok?

norad2

Are you? Go find some music you actually like and interact with it without saying something profoundly negative about other music.

Majestic-Fondant-670

I wish people like you would understand that healthy criticism is... healthy. But no, I have to stop being negative. How about you venture further than the cotton to which you're accustomed to? This sub is all about musical dogmatism, dogmatism as a whole will destroy humanity.

norad2

Oh please. You’re not a martyr for “good music” and certainly not the savior of this sub. You’re sure as hell ain’t giving healthy criticism in your comments either. Again, did you actually listen to this album? No way. Reread my previous comments.

Majestic-Fondant-670

eyyyy, you are as pretentious as I am critical. I love this, because you don't have the high ground you think you have. Who's the snob here hehe? Bonne nuit, mon quidam aux égards de péripatéticien. Gnothi sauton.

norad2

Get a grip my man. For your sake, go interact with music you love, and if you insist on giving “criticism”, at least listen to the music and say something meaningful instead of giving the played out answer of “I don’t like, so bad”. Add something real to the conversation instead of picking fights.

Majestic-Fondant-670

Yaaaas, slay king/queen. You're not adding anything to the conversation yourself. Let's all be profoundly useless.

HedonCalculator

Your profound vocabulary is profoundly profound.
