Youre a true god. Honestly we needed something like this.

Dreamstatex

haha, thank you! I will try my best to improve on it and most importantly keep it up to date!

HarvardAce

This is great, I had created something similar but just for the stuff I was producing on the current server. One note -- the bonus from lavish workplace is being calculated incorrectly. It is not an additional 5% added to whatever upgrade module you have installed -- it is a 5% discount *after* the upgrade module is installed. One way to calculate it is to just multiply the material costs by 0.95 after factoring in the upgrade module.

Dreamstatex

Oh, great catch, thanks! I will sort it out now on the live copy.

Dreamstatex

Fixed, took a few hours, but I went through every cell to make it right! :D Formulas should be simpler and correct now.

Trackstar35

I tried using a spreadsheet and factoring input costs, but there's always that person that cant do math and says, "Ya, I guess I'll set my goods at this price without doing any math, but I feel like it looks good to me. I get all my input materials myself, so it's free and my time, labor, and calories used means nothing." So ultimately it doesnt matter if other people cant do math.

Dreamstatex

Fair point, but it's there for anyone that wants to use it :D Hey some of those people might see it and realise how much they are losing selling below production cost :P

Shinhan

And then people get angry if I'm too expensive or too cheap just because my prices are internally consistent and theirs are pulled out of their ass :/

This looks incomplete, Some pages not referring to others. Is it still in development?

Dreamstatex

Hello, all the features that are currently in should be complete, there might be some numerical mistakes on the engineering tree, but everything should function. Where is the problem?

jbasc

This is a cost spreadsheet, not a "pricing" spreadsheet. This helps you understand if it is profitable to make a good and how to sell it without losing money. That's not pricing. Pricing in a market economy is based on a supply and demand curve. Sorry for being pedantic but honestly it's proliferating a misunderstanding of economics in a teaching game about economics.

XetraProx

Are you still working on the spreadsheet? Could we get an updated link?
