Beautiful photo -- I love this time when all of the apple-type trees are flowering. My neighbourhood looks awesome as every second house has a flowering tree.
If you drive down McDougall Hill (down from the Hotel Macdonald) this time of year, you should get an amazing vista of green as you look down the river valley. One summer during university, I worked for a tour company that did city bus tours for tourists and visitors. We would start in front of the Convention Center, turn back west down Jasper Avenue, hang a left on 100 St and then start down the hill ... always drew gasps from people once they saw the gorgeous green -- and extensive! -- river valley.

Every time I think I want to move I realize just how beautiful this city is when its greenery is doing well. It’s so refreshing.
I'm the same, after winter everything always looks so awful and I get all grumbly, then it turns green and I love it again!
