Yeah, there have been a couple the past few years in that area.

Doesn't look like there are a tonne of hydrants in that area. One way in with no hydrants is going to be a big pain in the ass. This fire will be going for a while.
This was happening as I was driving home. I saw the flames directly in front of me on 71st. I was really confused when I watched the fire trucks drive passed and parked at 75th St and Wagner.
Yeah. When I tracked it down yesterday the trucks had just blocked off the area. I got to where I took the photo and sat for a bit just to watch it, but two more firetrucks came and squeezed by my to get to the fire. I was clearly in the way so I skedaddled.
BP's oven trying to make 30,000 pizzas at once...
Thanks for the laugh.
Underrated comment
ah that's why it smells so awful.
I thought I smelled an electrical fire but couldn't find it!
Ah, the ol' Edmonton Garbage Fire.
Wait, what? The garbage isn’t supposed to be on fire is it? That seems like a really terrible idea in the middle of a city.
Omg…..I’m in Uni area and can smell it. Disgusting.
Yeah I am not far from the uni and was wondering what the vaguely chemically fire smell was. 🤮
Can’t imagine the stench the photographer endured
I work next door to this place, I believe it's a demolition contractor. They decided to shut the shop down due to the smoke. It wasn't pleasant.
I was upwind, so I barely noticed the smell
Based on the current situation ,that's a horrible spot for a muster site. :-/
[Pretty sure that's right here](https://maps.app.goo.gl/E9NV7nswDNJxew6UA)
Thank you, I was looking for where that was exactly.
Yep, that's exactly where it was
Well done Redditor!
Wasn't there a big building fire near there just last year? Northwest a little from here, just South of the heretic church

Burning all the "Stanley Cup Champions" merchandise..
Those poor bumper stickers and cheap McDavid jerseys. RIP
Flames were easily 80 feet tall earlier. Was wild. Fire trucks couldn't figure out how to get to it.

There used to be a few entrances, but things got a bit messed up when NOV closed up
I passed by it a bit later and they were using a hydrant from 75th. There was a ton of hoses connected to reach the dump. Kinda wild, actually.
Please refrain from referring to The Flames. This has been a public service announcement from the Edmonton Oilers 🫡
The flames were only able to be fought with one cup

It's the Springfield tire fire all over again...
That's right in front of Kal Tire. That mountain of trash is huge.
Ohhh ... That's where they moved the new Legislative Assembly of Alberta. I was wondering about that black-box decision.
Seafoam in the ol' lawnmower again
What a dump.
Is that the green city dump?
There were a lot of sirens in Sherwood Park this afternoon. Were they heading out there to help?
House fire Summerton Crescent & Summerton Gate in Sherwood Park.
Hope no one got hurt!
I work on 75st just south of argyle and was out walking the dog multiple times yesterday and didn’t notice a thing. Must have been upwind.
This is why the air quality is so bad I was wondering
By the crow my house is 400 metres and I thought it was in my backyard.
