The key for me was to put on every single Holy resistant item in my inventory, or out in the game that I hadn’t found yet, head-to-toe and talismans. The beast’s blows become so mildly damaging, that my frustration turned to pure joyful confidence, and I had all the time I needed to take it out!
Happened to me with Ornstein & Smough (DS1). I didn’t really know how to play souls games, but I did after that! Those guys and Sen’s Fortress gave me the lesson.
Kind of hard to believe that, elden beast has likely the longest stagger animation in the entire game, you can fit like 5 jumping heavys while it is stunned
If you want to cheat yourself for an easy win, max twinblade and godskin peeler with bloodhound step and mimic tear. Just do jump attacks for crazy damage. With bloodhound step, you can pretty easily dodge most attacks so you can save points from health and put it into dex/strength. This build is super effective but man it doesn’t feel good to win with it.
Try using blasphemous blade shard of Alexander carina filigreed crest fire tear fire scorpion charm and dragon crest greatshield trust it will make the fight easy
I used morgott’s sword and bloodhound’s fang both maxed out and did a lot of damage. Just remembering how to dodge attacks (especially that god forsaken elden stars) was the biggest thing. I also did not know that you had to fight radagon and elden beast in the same fight my first time I beat radagon.
Please share screenshots of your stats and equipment screen. level 170 is too high to be struggling with elden beast. Elden Ring was my first experience with Fromsoft game and I beat EB with just moderate effort. The only boss I struggled a lot with was Melania.
Elden Beast is such a badly designed boss fight that you could be level 20 or level 200 and you'd still get killed over and over. I absolutely hate EB.
Pretty sure from what i heard is that hes the only boss that scales with your level and thats why it doesnt matter if youre lvl 1000 youll still have a tough fight. His fight is essentially a stat check and you need to out last everything he throws at you, beat him on 4th try hes not that hard just fight smart
If you still have a larval tear the Marais sword build just melts em. 50 vigor 60ish str 40ish arcane? Make it so Godricks runes gives you 25 to cast golden vow or put it on a dagger. Milicent prosthesis / shard of alexander / rotten wing or just wing / blood exultation / godfrey icon?
2 hand the sword with mimic tear. Take your time and roll into radagons attacks. Use your potion while radagon is dying (thorny cracked tear and spiked) get close and let er rip.
If you’re still having trouble vs the Elden Beast, I’ve been doing a lot of co-op and every time I’m along someone using the Black Flame Tornado, it just melts the EB. I’ve never tried it myself, but it sounds like a great choice.
And ofc, the main attack you need to worry about is the 4 holy attacks: delay the 1st dodge and immediately dodge again, delay dodge, delay dodge. Use divine fortification for extra safety, and you’ll be alright.
Meteorite of astel worked for me. It's a pretty shite spell when it comes to small enemies, but when it comes to the big kahunas that shit slaps. Also pest threads might help too if you respec again
The Elden beast is quite vulnerable to physical damage so using weapons with a high physical stat and good scaling, with a little patients and a green burst crystal tear, you’ll get it. That’s how I did it, I used the Hand of Malenia because I did her fight before fighting Godfrey, and another katana
Use the blasphemous blade to take on radagon and any non elemental weapon fully leveled for elden beast pickled turtle neck meat helps too with the stamina from all the sprinting from elden stars and his big circle attack
I struggled with it also. Perfected the first part with Radagon, but EB would wreck me. Then someone said to me DON'T TARGET LOCK!
I've killed it on my second try after not target locking it.
Camera is your biggest enemy here. Only target lock if he's really far away from you so you can dodge his ranged attacks. As soon as you're close, unlock the target and wreck him.
He's reistant to holy.and fire damage so try to avoid using those tyoe attacks. Also he's immune to status effects.
Good luck, you can do it!
60vigor and 80 int, rest for mana and stamina. Lusat’s Glintstone Staff +10 & offhand staff of loss. Then use Night comet spell and you have won the game
I'm lvl 193, 521 hours. Just beat him yesterday. Probably 1/3 to half of that 521 was at the loading screen cause I never turn off the PS4 lol, but still, a decent amount of hours. It took me maybe 15 tries which is the most tries I've had on any boss. Besides the first fucking crucible knight I fought in several. Holy shit that guy kicked the hell out of me!
That being said I explored Sooo slowly and so much and spent some decent time grinding souls-err, runes lol. But as a mage I felt like after a certain amount of stats that invested I became op. Which felt super rewarding. Anyways, elden beast whooped my ass and the fact that he could out-distance me pissed me off lmao. I ended up spamming meteorite of Astel on his punk ass and he died on my first or second try while using that spell LOL.
Respec to Blasphemous Blade, take it with +10 and Alexander charm, get 60 vigor, equid holy defence charm, eat holy defence liver at the beginning of Elden Beast fight, don't drink flask of physique at the beginning of Radagon and at the beginning of Elden Beast as well, equip Crimsonwhorl Bubbletear to your Physique and drink it when Elden Beast starts Elden stars attack. Should be enough.
Elden Ring is a challenging game. Don't be hard on yourself! I have over 700 hours in the game, and it still usually takes me a few trys to beat him! You will beat him, believe in yourself and keep practicing!
If you just want to get it over with, go 80 intelligence and just hit it with comet azur, it’s the easiest way to do it, you can even one shot radagon if you have a staff leveled up.
First time I finally beat this boss, I used Shabriri's woe because I got tired of timing the dodges. I just let my mimic tear take all of the aggression while I wailed on Radagon and the Beast.
Lol same! I put about 450 hrs in NG. Made it a point to fight every single boss in my first playthrough, to find every secret place or what have you, took me a bit, but only when I had found every cave and “lesser dungeon” did I go onto defeat Radagon/EB.
Came soooo close last night, was down to about one more heavy hit.
Turned it off and went to bed because i had work today and Elden Ring has been the only game in a long time that i can lose track of time in and stay up past bedtime
“Got the framing right? Love you boys”. Sorry, couldn’t help but think about that base jump vid when I read your title 🤣
Congrats on becoming Elden Lord 👑
I was at 100 hours tops before I managed to beat the game
Hard as hell, though wandering kinda just, naturally progressed my level high enough
Shame that 10+ hours got added to my playtime due to less than 20 vigor
EB was easy with power stancing Banished Knight’s Greatswords +25 and using Storm Blade. Using Mimic +10 too.
Tbh, every boss was more or less easy. Malenia took 6 tries. Godfrey and Morgott died on the first try.
Hardest boss in the game was Commander Nial.
Gotta say. EB was no where near as frustrating as that one armed bitch. For me anyway. 😂 it took me a probably a couple days to beat her but once I beat her I beat the EB within a couple hours. I think I was around level 120.
Sword of night and flame stage one then I kinda free balled the eb with some magic and the god skin peeler took me a little bit to work out the mechanics but you’ll get it praise the sun!
My first build was level 230 when I beat Radogan, but I couldn’t put together a way to beat the Elden Beast, and then my PS4 died. I started over and beat Malenia at 170, but am still working towards the end.
Nicely done.
I use Shabriri's Woe talisman and let my Mimic Tear take all the punishment. It seems to stop the Elden Beast from moving all the time while it's focused on the spirit.

First time I took down the EB it took me 9 straight hours and many larval tears lol, I was level 250ish Don’t worry, you’ll get there
The key for me was to put on every single Holy resistant item in my inventory, or out in the game that I hadn’t found yet, head-to-toe and talismans. The beast’s blows become so mildly damaging, that my frustration turned to pure joyful confidence, and I had all the time I needed to take it out!
Dear lord
Happened to me with Ornstein & Smough (DS1). I didn’t really know how to play souls games, but I did after that! Those guys and Sen’s Fortress gave me the lesson.
For me it took a couple tries even with my max level friends “offering” their assistance, Elden Beast is strange boss.
try hitting charged attacks to make his stance break

Yeah it's probably better

https://youtu.be/S-hS3APbQkw?si=b-VNOcGO9qVgvYKE or just do what I did.
Try using blackflame incantations and weapons :) they do well at melting the EB
Try using blasphemous blade shard of Alexander carina filigreed crest fire tear fire scorpion charm and dragon crest greatshield trust it will make the fight easy
Use +9 or +10 malikeths sword on elden beast it’s ash of war destroys its health
I used morgott’s sword and bloodhound’s fang both maxed out and did a lot of damage. Just remembering how to dodge attacks (especially that god forsaken elden stars) was the biggest thing. I also did not know that you had to fight radagon and elden beast in the same fight my first time I beat radagon.
ancient dragon lighting strike i first tried elden beast with it though it feels a little bit like cheesing it
Please share screenshots of your stats and equipment screen. level 170 is too high to be struggling with elden beast. Elden Ring was my first experience with Fromsoft game and I beat EB with just moderate effort. The only boss I struggled a lot with was Melania.
Respec so that you can wield a greatbow - radahns bow. Upgrade said bow to at least +9. Then attack from range and spam the WA.
Elden Beast is such a badly designed boss fight that you could be level 20 or level 200 and you'd still get killed over and over. I absolutely hate EB.

Lol. Downvotes because of your #humblebrag
No, the scaling thing is simply false, no boss does that
Lmao humble brag 🤣 im dead. Wasnt trying to brag lol only boss i had a real hard with was Melania i feel like she was harder than final boss 🥲🥲
She is. Fromsoft has a tendency to create “secret” bosses with crazy high difficulties, and I love them all haha
Same, after weeks of frustration i ended up summoned someone else
I just summoned someone else, lol.
If you still have a larval tear the Marais sword build just melts em. 50 vigor 60ish str 40ish arcane? Make it so Godricks runes gives you 25 to cast golden vow or put it on a dagger. Holy resistance ftw
Meteorite of astel worked for me. It's a pretty shite spell when it comes to small enemies, but when it comes to the big kahunas that shit slaps. Also pest threads might help too if you respec again
Holy protection goes along way, if you can’t dodge his attacks.
Dont be afraid to summon other people aswell if you are having a little bit of a hard time

I beat it at level 172 with the most cringe mage build ever.
Strength build with 2 massive hammers is how I managed it!
Use the blasphemous blade to take on radagon and any non elemental weapon fully leveled for elden beast pickled turtle neck meat helps too with the stamina from all the sprinting from elden stars and his big circle attack

It took me so long to realize the ash of war on the Maliketh's black blade will melt that beast. Don't give up you got this!
Got him down so easy with that lighning spear that you find at capital it goes pretty far and do a lot of damage.
Another tarnished has been raised to the elden lord title ,Gongrats.
Another lord of the frenzied flame. tysm
The absolute best ending for the lands between, nicely done
130 hours. I was still exploring every inch of limegrave
Lol same! I put about 450 hrs in NG. Made it a point to fight every single boss in my first playthrough, to find every secret place or what have you, took me a bit, but only when I had found every cave and “lesser dungeon” did I go onto defeat Radagon/EB.
I’m still finding books and crannies that I missed. I’m up in Lydnell now, so many tight spots in this game!
Fatty
Congratulations for getting this far!
Thank you
170h and I haven’t even been to haligtree or Sewers yet
That just means ur absorbing every part of the game. I spent like 30 hours in limgrave cuz i loved it so much and i didnt want the game to end quickly
AYYYYY CONGRATS NOW FOR NG+
first thing i did was beat tree's sentinel ass
Best feeling onfg
Came soooo close last night, was down to about one more heavy hit. Turned it off and went to bed because i had work today and Elden Ring has been the only game in a long time that i can lose track of time in and stay up past bedtime
Reading this sounds like you were one hit away then decided it’s bed time and turned it off haha
GG. I'm almost at the end of the game I think. Took a break though because I've been playing it non stop
After 400h+ and already having received my platinum trophy, I find myself still playing the game because I love it that much.
Now do it again, lol
After 175 hours and at level 145 i did it to man but I'm happy for you
Nicely done!
Faith build and pest threads is your friend. I only beat elden beast using it after too many attempts.
“Got the framing right? Love you boys”. Sorry, couldn’t help but think about that base jump vid when I read your title 🤣 Congrats on becoming Elden Lord 👑
Congrats buddy now you'll not like any other games because this sets the bar very high
now games are so boring for me lmfao
Once you want to move on, hit up DS3. Then DS1. Then DS2, surprisingly, this game is still very fun despite its reception.
sekiro, trust me.
i started playing Metro exodus after this game, i was not dissapointed
I was at 100 hours tops before I managed to beat the game Hard as hell, though wandering kinda just, naturally progressed my level high enough Shame that 10+ hours got added to my playtime due to less than 20 vigor
Well done :3
We're all playing baldurs gate 3 now. Just kidding, congrats, hope you enjoy new game plus
Funny way spelling Armored Core 6
from a soulsborne to a turn based rpg is a huge adrenaline difference
That is a crazy amount of hours to only be level 130
EB was easy with power stancing Banished Knight’s Greatswords +25 and using Storm Blade. Using Mimic +10 too. Tbh, every boss was more or less easy. Malenia took 6 tries. Godfrey and Morgott died on the first try. Hardest boss in the game was Commander Nial.
Insert skull emoji
Great! Now do it again.
well done
Gotta say. EB was no where near as frustrating as that one armed bitch. For me anyway. 😂 it took me a probably a couple days to beat her but once I beat her I beat the EB within a couple hours. I think I was around level 120.
Damn and congrats. What your next game ?
idk, i have a list to choose, can u pick for me? hollow knight, lies of p, prey, mw2 and sekiro
If you have game pass then lies of p , Sekiro and Hollow Knight got very hard for my old man skills
Sword of night and flame stage one then I kinda free balled the eb with some magic and the god skin peeler took me a little bit to work out the mechanics but you’ll get it praise the sun!
Now you can score a 2nd Nagakiba in NG+
ima get a hand of malenia and keep my nagakiba instead
It’s my fav too. Now take the extra step and watch hundreds of YouTube lore videos
Will you play IT again when the dlc comes out i mean a New game?
For sure
Congrats!
My first playthrough casually being 320 hours 🫠
God slain
Congrats man! I just beat it yesterday too, all that’s left before journey two is beating malenia and the remembrance dragons.
i burned down the lands between, also i did beat placidusax
Yeah I just beat him, now I gotta get my ass whooped by malenia.
SICK
I’m still grinding out levels as I haven’t been strong enough to beat the Beast yet.
My first build was level 230 when I beat Radogan, but I couldn’t put together a way to beat the Elden Beast, and then my PS4 died. I started over and beat Malenia at 170, but am still working towards the end.
congrats
Congrats, I'm on 82 hours and level 85 and just passed Renala haha
Nice! looks like youre exploring a lot! just enjoy the game as much as you can!
Congrats!!!
I’m 130 hours in and reached Maliketh lol I’m trying to do as much as possible before endgame
Congrats! I love it.
Nicely done. I use Shabriri's Woe talisman and let my Mimic Tear take all the punishment. It seems to stop the Elden Beast from moving all the time while it's focused on the spirit.
Congrats! I just beat it yesterday for the first time after 114 hours as well, I had to get to level 155 tho, stupid beast
