I second this ☝️At first I didn’t use the Guts because I thought it was ‘too slow’, but after a respec and actually tailoring a real strength build for the weapon, I’m absolutely loving it.
A faithful spellsword. Use a straights sword in one hand and a sacred seal in the other hand. Manly use buffs and healing spells of the Two Fingers faithful. You can also use offensive fire spells. Wear a cool heavy armor and master your skills with the sword while adventuring collecting incantations for your holy duty to restore the golden order.
Lightning Twinblade with the lightning slash ash of war. Enough faith for golden vow and howl of shabriri, rest to dex, vig, a bit of endurance and so on.
Use the Lightning scorpion, and 2 multi-hit talismans (rotten winged sword if you have it, Millicent's prosthesis otherwise). Lightning damage buff and the multi-hit buff in the Physick flask. Use the lightning slash ash of war only as a buff to add more lightning damage, not as an actual damage dealer. It all gets multiplied by 34.4% with the scorpion and tear, so you get silly damage output.
Enjoy 1200+ AR that rises even higher when you proc enough of the multi-hit effects. Blast through bosses in a minute.
The EveryStatus Mist build.
Get a Dagger, venture into Caelid, acquire Poisonous mist AoW. Apply AoW.
Kill a dragon, get a bit of faith and arcane and get Rotten Breath.
Progress.
Get another dagger, get into Carian Manor, acquire Freezing Mist AoW. Apply AoW.
Have Sleep Pots in your inventory.
Meet the minimum requirements for Night Maiden's Mist and try and boost your damage with another cloud-type attack.
And if you really want to, you could also add in swarm of flies, but i don't think it will be as useful without a dedicated build unlike all the other tools.
