406 Specialist would be out more, but to get ahead of upcoming branding change... if you do take the position know it's now going to be referred to as PA Mitigation
I'm curious what your role would be as a reservist doing cost analysis... we need more cost specialists for costing mitigation because CRC doesn't like to do it and applicants have a hard time getting costs
Thanks for the heads up. I was told by a current reservist the 406 Specialist position barely deployed so I was hesitant to accept the position but now I will.
right now is kinda slow but it should start picking up again soon, currently the daily operations brief is reporting that HM has less that 25% availability.
Hey. If a cadre isn't listed on the operations daily report that means it has more than 25% of its reservists available (non-deployed)? Is that a correct assumption?
Hazard Mitigation (HM) would be the best bet, and for the future considering how important HM is being emphasized for the future of FEMA and EM in general. They’re always more than 70% deployed.
Logistics is never deployed in large amounts or every often, especially manufactured housing, which requires a big disaster. I would recommend to not join this one.
Wish I would've seen this post before I switched to this position. I left DSA cause I wasn't getting deployed and this position paid more. Oh well, I'll keep applying for other jobs. Thanks for the info.
DSA meaning Disaster Survivor Assistance? I just got a TJO today. Did you enjoy it? What are some pros/cons? As I’m currently working full-time at the VA
