the A55 is capable of PS2 emulation, try it out

I have never seen anyone do an emulation test for the A55, and I'm deathly curious, would you tell me where have you seen any?

Do you know if it would be much different in the A54?

PSP emulation nowadays is so optimized that just about any phone can emulate all games at 1-2x resolution (ik because I've used to play PSP games on my old Moto G5S Plus)

I have emulated and cracked PSP and PS2 games before, but that was when I have an old Lenovo phone with Mediatek chip and somehow work decently but with low graphics since it overheats when resolution is high. Haven't tried emulating games in my previous phone A50. This is the first time I tried emulation again, and it impressed me. I will soon download Midnight Club games and NFSU2 since I wanted to bring back the nostalgia playing those games.

...except Dante's Inferno and the MGS games for me, God I need to get a new SD card for the only non-potato device I have 🥲

Yeah, the closest thing we got was the Winlator. I thought that android has it since I watched YouTube videos playing Red Dead Redemption which is a PS3 game but forgot that it got ported to Nintendo switch.

Cheap ass 100$ Chinese devices can do it too. Try PS2 emulation as it's a lot more powerful than those.

Running it on my Google Pixel 7 through the now defunct AetherSX2 emulator. Running at 3.5x native resolution using Vulkan. Great performance so far. Also just finished Yakuza 1. Never thought I would complete a full 20 hour playthrough on a phone, but the story had me hooked really good. Also downloaded Black which runs okay at 2x native resolution.

Vice City Stories has no native Android version. It is only available on ps2 and psp
