my period came right after surgery and it was absolutely terrible. one of the days was the worst pain i’ve ever experienced — i don’t say this lately after a decade of traumatizing and debilitating periods 😖😖

Hi I had my laparoscopy 4 weeks ago and they found stage 4 endo and removed it all (excision). I had my period about 10 days later and it’s still here (been close to 3 weeks now). I barely have any bleeding as I have the mirena IUD but the pains have been absolutely horrendous. I’ve been told that the first couple of periods post Lapa can be really bad because of all the intervening in the womb from the surgery. Hope yours settles soon xx
