I worked at a busy gas station/car wash while going to college for my degree in Radiologic Technology (X-ray tech). I lost track of the number of idiots who looked down their noses at a gas jockey. Mostly insecure fools. When I started at the hospital I’ve now been at for 38 years, I was being paid more than most of them ever would.
I used to get that when I was a phone company field tech walking around in steel-shanked work boots, jeans and 20 lbs of tools strapped around my waist. I’d go into business offices and some of the females would look down their nose at me. I thought it was funny because I was making at least twice as much as any of the admin staff. 🤷🏻♀️
Well, just know it wasn't me who called....I'm a guy, and after reading your story and all the comments made to this point, I still don't know what the "r" word is.

Funny, growing up (I'm 53) it was *everyone's* nickname, and was a word thrown around pretty damned often - until it wasn't.
Then I read OPs story, and sat there wondering what the person called her. I read all the comments, and finished without a clue as to what the r-word could be. 12 year old me would have known....I think every kid in my whole boy scout troop shared the same extra middle name.

Lady is an asshole, but the third party delivery trend is bad, and this whole situation could have been avoided if your company took ownership of delivering its own products.
