**BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!**
"Because I can!"
For 25 years, I've had a horrible weakness for greys. I do not own a horse because I KNOW I will overlook a perfectly lovely bay in favor of a flea-bitten mud monster. I know this about myself, but I cannot help it.
So I sympathize with you, OP. I really do. They're a pain in the ass, and sometimes seem downright malicious in how much dirt they accumulate.
But I do love those little stinkers.
Grey horses love to do this… after watching three greys turn themselves into mud balls on the regular that where not mine I never freaked out when my late grey boy did this I just shrugged.
My boy wants a rematch about the most dirty gray horse competition 😆

I feel Your pain fully, that's how life is with grays 😅
And I vowed to myself before buying that I ABSOLUTELY DON'T WANT A GRAY
Well... 🙃
Oh yes, tis the season! This is how my dunalino looks daily. 😣

My mini is also a mud-wrestler. He’s my first horse and so I’m still learning. When he does this I brush as much of the mud out as I can.
Being in a northern climate it’s too cold to bathe him. What do you do when your horse rolls in the mud?
when it's super cold and hes really muddy i spend a while (20 minutes to an hour sometimes) curry combing the mud out if it's dried. if the mud is wet i simply suffer
I understand your pain. He decided camo was in this season.

Totally off your topic, but do you know about the gray horse gene for cancer?
I, too, love grays, has three, now two. We list the gray mare when she was diagnosed with melanoma in her intestines.
The vet explained that the gene is carried in like 70% of all grays. It usually presents on the outside, around their eyes, nose, mouth, genitalia etc and can be removed.
Some get it on the inside and some start on the outside before it moves.
I am trying to find a genetic test now that I can order on the other two.
This was heartbreaking to go through.
Please investigate on your own.
Because forewarned in forearmed.
If your horse has a chance of getting cancer, especially if it’s something you can check for and eliminate, why wouldn’t you want to know this?
It’s like doing a self exam on your breast for lumps.
You can check your grays all around their eyes, lips, nostrils and genitalia. If you find one, get it removed by your vet.
It’s hard for me to understand that you would not want to do this.
Do you check yourself for skin cancer?
May as well just register as a paint at that point
right? free paint! 😆
I have my glasses off and thought this goofball WAS a paint. Very convincing impression!

Next horse you get, learn your lesson and get one that matches your local dirt
he's the best horse ever, if not for the swamp monster part

Want to hear a dirty joke? A white horse rolled around in the mud! 😹

My barn owner is threatening to charge me for removing all his pasture dirt at this point 😂

😭😭
Mud is great for their complexion, right?
You’re asking the wrong question. It’s, why not?
He wanted to self tan
I feel your pain!! We have a perlino who kept rolling in old burnpit ash, always after a rain. Thanks sir
I used to have a max white sabino. She pulled this same nonsense. They can't resist. Enjoy your mud-alino and his sweet, innocent, filthy little face!
When did you get the new paint horse!!😁
I feel you. I have an almost all white paint, and he’s a pig most times lol
Ah yes, the privilege of owning a 'white' horse is that you get to clean them. Every day is arm day!
I take it this is not a skewbald?
nope. he's completley gray
Oh my god it’s always the grays 😭

My guy loves the curry comb. Like LOVES it.
same here, im convinced he gets so muddy just so he gets extra curry comb time
They wanted to cosplay Rain from dreamworks but couldn't get the colour right on the body 😂

Cause it feels good mom!
Bahahahaha!
I’m the same boat!!
Because grey horse
There is a natural law about this somewhere. It’s required for greys and palominos.

WHY WOUKD YOU TELL ME THIS
