I love it the color it is!

LindaBitz

I agree. Love it the way it is. It’s so serene. Not everything needs to be green or blue.

-ZenMaster-

Yup, looks incredible, spend the money on something else

_bondgirl007

Yes, I love the colors.

Thin-Ebb-9534

Agree it is lovely as is. If you must, I would keep the garage door color and bring the other surfaces a little closer to that as a complementary color. Something tannish.

Tasty_Pastries

I love the house color. Add yellow lilies or yellow Iris’s to really make it pop! They are perennial plants so you won’t have to replant yearly.

Such_Editor_8194

Came here to say this

HaeselGrace

Right? Not everything needs to stand out, blending in with nature can be stunning.

Maria-Stryker

If you want color plant some flowers, preferably native pollinators. The house itself is fine. Add some life to your yard!

Fit-Ad3646

I completely agree with this assessment!

pameliaA

Sage green would be beautiful, but I would not use any white — green will complement the stone whereas white will wash it out.

MockFan

Yes. Dark sage on doors, light on siding, medium on trim.

Drinkythedrunkguy

Anything but grey.

Cool_Implement_7894

It looks great the way it is! Why mess that up?

Rengeflower

The house needs more contrast. The garage doors are dark, but where else can you add dark paint?

Jegator2

Thenarrow trim could be the same as garage. Sage green sounds like a good choice.

smoke2957

Absolutely agree with this. The house is lovely and doesn't need a facelift, just some makeup. Perhaps the trim around the round window, and the gutters would be nice as the same color as the garage. Or change the aforementioned including the garage doors to black.

Adventurous-Cry-2157

I painted my exterior doors black last Fall (SW Tricorn Black), and it looks incredible. When the weather cools down, I’ll be continuing on with painting the garage door and the awning over the back door the same black. Then I need to do all of the trim, a soft white, and it’s going to be beautiful. The contrast and crispness looks great with the existing brick.

Pamikillsbugs234

The trim around the portal window would look good if painted the same dark brown. It's a really neat window and needs to pop out more.

Rengeflower

Honestly, the circle and all of the trim and window frames would look good with some dark paint.

Planetofthetakes

I would not change any of the colors, it’s gorgeous the way it is. If you wanted to give it an updated look, perhaps add some battans to the wall with the portal window (I’m a sucker for portal windows btw) Other than that, leave it, it’s an incredibly cute house.

redquailer

I just want to say what a beautiful house that is!!

CockroachTheory

Save green would be nice, slate or Tiffany blue, black, darker grey, but leave the garage doors as they are. Lovely home! Would love to live there and landscape that space. Enjoy your space!

Immo406

Evergreen fog would look great with those trim colors Edit: do you by chance have the name of the top trim color?

Simple-Incident-5715

I would love to see some navy/cream/dark wood tones

Dez_Acumen

It lacks contrast, which is sad because it's such an interesting house. Pick out the trim, windows and clapboards in two complimentary colors that contrast with the stone. If the budget allows, I would do wooden garage doors and window frames, especially the portico window in wood.

Violingirl58

Love the existing color!

mt-egypt

It looks nice the way it is

Spirited_Author_7314

I’m honestly surprised how many people are liking the current combo. It’s always been so beige and blah to me.

Jmj108

Maybe just start small? With a pop of a color you love on the door?

Purple-Haze-11

Deeeeeep dark blue, find some ways to add cedar accents. You're welcome.

Spirited_Author_7314

My across the street neighbor just did this so I feel I can’t do the same thing.

WVildandWVonderful

The stone is white, so you can basically pick any 2 complementary colors for the siding and the trim/garage doors

asap_pdq_wtf

Don't change just for the sake of changing. Sometimes if it's already a great look, it's best to sit back and appreciate it. Lovely home btw!

passive0bserver

It’s great the way it is lol, find another use for that money!

Spirited_Author_7314

I would love to but the paint is peeling everywhere and definitely needs to be redone 😬

__fujiko

I had two thoughts. A dark green would be lovely, and trendy, if not a tad expected. Or because the round cutout reminds me of the gorgeous Queen Anne homes, I would find inspiration in pictures from old Victorian homes and go with something more unique. If it was me, I would be trying to figure out how to make a pastel purple or something work lol.

widowscarlet

The stone is really pretty and quite cool-toned so I think blues greens whites and cool greys would all work just as well as the cool browns in the current scheme. The roof seems like it would go with many colours also. I think you need to consider the feel you want - formal and stately go with blacks or dark blue-greens or even some burgundy accents, if you want more cottage style go with lighter pastel colours.

Defiant-One3095

Ummm wat about a light shade of green or blue 🤔 think that wud look nice there are so many different shades

sonicblue217

I love the color as is. Why not try seasonal flowers in your planter so something is always blooming? Or variated leaf sonething? Maybe 2 large pots with something blooming going up the steps?

Least-Spare

A house in our community like this kept their stone color and painted the rest black with some nice cedar accents, and it looks AMAZING. I will say that their stone is more brown than yours, but still. Shame about the neighbor’s deeeep navy b/c that is the answer. Maybe a different super dark color? Sage green seems like an equal mistake to your current color.

SnooPeripherals5221

Black but I love black houses hah

Jmj108

You have a gorgeous home!

nerdymutt

I would go with orange to contrast the green and keep that natural look.

Greenedeyedgem17

Just a suggestion … I would remove the shrubs that are under the round window and add taller shrubbery that complement the house’s color. Also, I would power wash before picking a color because you may not to repaint.

Sharkn91

Paint match the grass

Mysterious-Okra-7885

I would paint the trim and garage doors a deeper color. Like a rich chocolatey charcoal and maybe try to color match the siding to the lovely stone colors.

KOC_503

It's PERFECT as is. Very cohesive.

Prior_Ordinary_2150

Love the current combo!

415Rache

Paint garage doors same color as house. Unless garage doors are architecturally beautiful, or otherwise notable, you usually do not want to highlight them. Opposite is true for the front door. Definitely highly that.

happydragon5

I think a dark charcoal gray/almost black with some wood accents would look great!

JBNothingWrong

All gray is an abomination to good taste and decency, pick any color and this house will be better

SecondHandCunt-

Definitely

Cinigurl

Beautiful home!♥️

Itz_chief

Dont.

borislovespickles

I think it looks really nice as is.

Forsaken_Friend8270

The color is good- you need “something”under the round window. Maybe vines growing up in the planter underneath?

taco_ma_hiker107

I wanna say a medium gray, taupe or blue, where it looks like white rock, but whatever you do, I'd love to see what you choose.

Beth3g

The color of the house is great but I don’t care for the color of the garage doors. I would use the same gray color on the house. Front doors should stand out but not garage doors imho.

CinephileNC25

Hmm nothing. BUT… and this is huge, if you could make the wood parts natural stain and a deep green for the trim, that would be dope.

LazarusMundi4242

Red and yellow and pink and green and purple and orange and blue

Icedchill1

Paint the wood black.

cummonster26

Omg gorgeous house!!

No-Organization-9394

Yellow and burnt orange

Mindless-Rabbit7281

Elephant grey and cream trim

jase40244

I would keep the wood siding the same color, but tint it a couple of shades darker to better highlight the stonework, and paint the garage doors to match. Then paint the window trim a few shades darker than that.

kiddo2dwg

A very dark navy blue

BonniestLad

I’m just here to see how many people say “sage green” like they do on every-single-house no matter how awful it would look.

Next-Zucchini-6444

Leave it like that. Just rent a power washer to get the dirt off

Particular_Moment861

I think it lovely as is. I’d just touch up where needed and maybe splurge on wood carriage style garage doors.

PacificCastaway

Leave the stone. For the other siding, a rich dark blue. Maybe like this one: https://diamondkotesiding.com/gallery/midnight-blues/

JustNota--

Pressure wash the stone you heathen :P Painting stone is evil.

mom161719

Keep it that color

Real-Hospital-3610

Black or dark blue

AdventurousDoubt1115

I love the current pallet

Yepthatsme07

Forest green!

Highhopes2024

Beautiful. Where the circle window is, can you make it like the other windows above the garage? It would look so nice (adding 1 large window). The colors look great

ilovecupcakes37

I actually like the house that way!

Dj-pandabear

Black

Pinkpanda777222

Pink

HereF0rTheSnacks

I would look up Victorian color schemes. If you want brighter contrasting colors.

Scorpiomanly

LOVE the big windows but You have a busy facade. Paint job isn’t too bad. The fence color is the issue. Pulls all the focus. No greens! You have a large hill and trees. Green will make house disappear. I could get into 3 shades of cream/white. Benjamin Moore has like 110 “white” shades. Keep contrast to a minimum because of busy facade. Also don’t paint garage doors darkest. Looks like 2 holes. I dig your house though!

Scorpiomanly

Lovely home. My 2 cents: NO GREENS house will disappear. You have a large green hill and trees. Also your facade is busy with different textures and angles. Keep contrasts to a minimum, don’t add more! Digging your monochromatic look; keep with it. I could get into 3 shades of cream. Benjamin Moore has like 110 shades of “ white”. Keep LRV’s high. Good luck, dig your house!

TrainingExternal5360

Oooooh Blue like the French laundry door. And as another suggested, flower bed at the entrance!

smfeld7615

Just please for the love of god, do not do blue.

Apprehensive-Use1979

The colors are fine, it’s the shapes that distress the eye. The way the windows loom right above the garage doors and then the panel with the circle window. I think you might add some cedar accents like either replace those horizontal boards above the windows with cedar or cedar shutters around those windows or something like that.

Classic_Bee_8500

I like the idea of green—it’ll complement the stone—with darker trim (something more like the current garage doors). Cream would also play well with the stone, also with dark trim. It is, of course, really beautiful as-is!

courtspur21

Leave it. Just plant some ivy to grow on the house.

Sad-Board-8930

Leave it alone and invest in a landscape architect would be my suggestion.

rainbeau44

Leave the stone and paint everything else black.

globely

I like how your house looks. Maybe the garage doors should be the same color as the trim but a darker shade. My mom bought a house that was neutral colors like this and they had added a 2nd paint color on the window frame. Like a 1" band of color closer to the glass. Idk the construction of a window but maybe there's a piece of trim. Her house was a sagey green and the 2nd color was dark plum/aubergine/maroon. It was a tiny detail but changed the whole look.

FormicaDinette33

I would like to see the wood parts have more contrast with the stone. I assume you are leaving the stone alone. It’s like of hard to say. I would get one of those apps where you can play with the colors.

Emgee063

Anything but the God Awful Gray

SpaceLexy

I thought maybe paint the fence but then again it kind of gives it even more character.

Large_Artist_4354

Looks really good as is. I think sage green would be a mistake.

Imarobot225

I love the og color but where I live white with black accents have taken over

Technical_Air6660

The color is great. It captures light well. I agree with adding some plants or flowers.

Apprehensive-Elk4726

Shades of GREEN 🌿🍃🌱🌳

victowiamawk

Don’t, it’s beautiful!

julia35002

I like the color but I also think a slate blue would look lovely

cjati

I like it as is but if you're looking for a change don't go for the generic gray and black.

Mountain-Donkey98

I love the way it looks now. I think painting it a different color could be Catastrophic lol

chelrice

Leave it as is it’s gorgeous

Altruistic_Fondant38

Leave the color.. maybe get some vinyl shutters for the windows above the garage door..for just a pop of color.

oceanco1122

It’s perfect the way it is. Add more greenery around if you want more color

aliasani

Sage green

Ruckingdogs

First thing I would do is give the stone/brick a good washing. Start with the house in the color you like. I think that will help you pick your trim. Taller plant under the circle window. Love your house!!! But give it that stunning brick a good bath.

Fickle-Princess

This palette from Behr would look gorgeous on your place. I'd make the sage green the more prominent color and use the rest as trim and accents. https://www.behr.com/consumer/PaletteDetailView/PPU18-16,N410-3,N300-3,PR-W13

tressforsuccess

Light up the trim and garage with a baby blue grey or something

tressforsuccess

Or add contrast with a dark grey almost black trim and garage

Deep-Silver9386

More foliage!

Dementiasanderson

[matched the garage color to the wood and darkened the trim and fence. accent stripe on the round window. just had some fun, georgious house!](https://ibb.co/3RKFVXB)

ShreddedDadBod

Looks good as-is

Traditional_Day5198

Just repaint the colors that it is for a refresh add window flower boxes, and a black picket fence or a 3 rail black fence!

IAreAEngineer

I don't know when this house was built, but I remember a trend in the past (1970's?) to have a house blend in with nature. Thus brown, beige, etc. Is it in desperate need because of the paint condition, or your preferences? If it's preference, you can try on different colors virtually -- I think most paint companies have something like that.

brokenhartted

It looks great the way it is.

RockinRetirement0123

I agree what’s there works with your beautiful stone, but I too was thinking maybe a light sage green with a light grey trim before I read your full post, if you still feel you need to change it. I like that the siding is varied with the way it is laid. It brings interest to the front of your house. To me, the place for a spark of color should be the front door, so I would use a medium grey from your stone’s color for the garage doors to help them “disappear”. If you would like to dress them up, they make (faux) magnetic windows and hardware that bring a more cottage look to the doors. There are sites online where you can upload a picture of your house and play with colors digitally. Sherwin Williams offers a free design consultation online and I found that very helpful.

dehudson99

Light gray white trim, white garage doors

Natural_Lifeguard_44

I honestly like it as is! I think it’s very in now. Came back around.

No-Rice-2261

RED!!!!!

anniemitts

I think the reason why so many people say it looks nice now is because it’s cohesive with the stone. I’m picturing the siding painted a more saturated color and with the different sections of stone I think it will end up looking blocky. My suggestion is to go a little lighter on the siding with a green-grey that matches the undertone of the stone, and then for the trim try a soft sage green or a slate blue. I agree with other comments that your money is better served in landscaping. It really does wonders. When we redid our landscaping a couple years ago I stopped noticing the parts of my house’s exterior that annoyed me and all I saw was the garden.

Teegers8753

I’d go with like a light tan with dark brown trim and doors.

LBJewelryDesigns

I agree the colors are beautiful. Perhaps paint your garage doors a neutral color like the color above the stone to give your home a more modern look.

siggles69

No

Burger_girl

It’s beautiful! Add colorful flowers

Bmaximus

I suggest doing wood garage doors and maybe darken the color a little to add contrast. [https://imgur.com/a/AmXN3Td](https://imgur.com/a/AmXN3Td)

GardenGrammy59

Anything but grey.

LaceyLeeRichardson89

I think a rust orange or terracotta colour on the garage doors could be nice

at145degrees

I really like it the way that it is. Agree with others that flowers and greenery would add great accent colors.

InternalPrompt8486

Blue !

SpaceDave83

Any earth tones would do, personally, I’d go with a light green with brown trim

SolidHopeful

Good the way it is

Dunkerdoody

I love brown with turquoise.

spacesaucesloth

teal! leave the the brown trim

The_Sensitive_Psycho

Green/Tan

Shen1076

Black and white

EquivalentAnimal7304

I would just paint the front door and the garage doors in black for accent, but everything else is great!

KeyNefariousness6848

All the colors!

Tennessee1977

Maybe just paint the garage doors and windows.

TomatoKindly8304

I think your house looks great. I’d spend that money doing a bit of landscaping to liven up the yard instead.

Ok_Paper8216

Sage green

NecessaryLanguage576

White and black

Top-Suit-9209

Black.

Buckeyelover247

Green and a dark bronze

Apprehensive_Sky9017

White and shades of gray 100% the transformation is beautiful! It already is beautiful but the pop on painting brick white or gray is pretty cool !

flexikhakis

I like the current color maybe just do cool wooden garage doors and black trim 😍

Tea_and_Biscuits73

That's a gorgeous home! I always love Navy blue with white/off white trim on homes where the landscape is so lush and green. It's a great contrast color.

sunny_hunny_elle

White

yours_truly_1976

Sea green would be my first thought. Maybe stormy blue gray

Yammyjammy1

If that is real stone I’d strip it before picking a color. I think seeing the alleged stones color would be a deciding factor. If it is real I definitely would not paint It. And that grey paint or whatever that color is sucks canal water. edit - it looks like the wood on the upper part of the garage is different than that where the round window is so that comes into play also. Maybe strip the wood down, stain it then seal it with some of the uv blocker. But the color of the stain depends on the stone. i hope you keep us up to date

Fun_Intention9846

Is there a house attached to that garage?

Rachellyz

BLACK!

Glum-Control-996

I couldn’t improve on the one you already have!

chookitabananaa

Maybe get some wooden garage doors similar to the color of the fence. Then just add more landscaping

No_Training_4587

I love it the way it is! But it would also look great the same color of the garage doors

SocializeTheGains

Mossy green and keep the brown trim

PooPooPleasure

Good color. If you wanted to add more vibrant color to it you could look at door colors

schatzikitten

Similar color palate but more contrast.

Prize-Tomato1847

It looks amazing right now lol

cat2phatt

Leave it as is!!

MsCricket67

Oh no, don’t change the color. I love this color scheme. It’s so natural and beautiful and perfect.

EpiZirco

Every block needs a magenta house. Yours could be the one.

Amazing_Albatross_41

Colors are nice, maybe do a black trim.

Calm-Remote-1671

Black

Ok_Opinion900

Heritage Blue with a darker shade of trim. I think I know where that house is, but maybe not.

rainhalock

I love the color as is, as well. If you want a change up…I would opt for a rich, moody green on the siding. Stone and garage doors can stay.

SugarRosie

Burnt sienna!

Kraut_Gauntlet

a light sage green

teslatiki

Paint your front door instead

RainbowCuntSlapper

Black

Terrible-Turnip-7266

Love the current colors!

New_Relation7877

I wouldn’t change the color. It’s great as is; maybe give the garage doors a little love.

splattermonkeys

Fire truck red. Chrome the trim.

New-Perception-9754

Nothing says "happy" like grey! 😄 I would pick up some house design magazines- something warmer and organic would be beautiful in that setting. The slate grey just looks too urban, or something. It's such a nice house, I'm glad you have it!

YouControlYou4822

Bring a little bit more of that garage door brown color into the trim and it’s perfect for me!

devildoggie73

Green, to blend in with the natural setting. White or cream trim and garage doors.

qui-Pat

These colors are very classy and really up the visual value of the home. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Old-Confidence-164

I love the sage green idea, maybe as accents, like the garage door and that panel with the round window and the roof triangle (?”) thing, sorry not sure what it’s called, I think would be great. Just make it a kind of darkish grey-green.

Ok-Thing-2222

It looks really good!

RockPsychological327

That is a beautiful house

Slight-Piano-554

Paint the siding and garage doors peppercorn for contrast then add some hot pink shrubbery

firefighter_chick

Cedar shakes for the peak and the wall with the small window. Perhaps change garage doors to match the shakes. That will tie in the fence. Add some blue ceramic pottery with flowers to add color.

Hour_Success_6127

Gorgeous home, I love how the color looks now tbh! what state is this?

NJRougarou

Green, to blend in with the grass so as to camouflage the house.

Jazzlike_Station845

From the looks of it the only thing I can see is that it just needs some landscaping!

AdorableCheesecake52

I think it’s a perfect color as is

ms-anthrope

yellow and red!

QueenLiz2

Navy blue with lime green accents…door, shutters, etc.

TheMcWhopper

I think a nice blue would go with the brick

helpmemartha

A climbing thornless rose bush would be so beautiful growing under that little round window.

Legal_Introduction70

Keep it the way it is and paint the area w the circle window navy.

liza129

It’s beautiful with the current colors!

Mahay_96

No paint! Just lots of flowers and maybe a cool toned bird bath to compliment your house. You have a gorgeous home!

SavannahGirlMom

Very dark green. Garage doors may be fine as is

CorrectPayment4377

Blue and white, leave the stone. Lots of flowers

IndependentDiver4779

Donate to charity your house looks awesome

kitchengardengal

Whatever you decide, think about painting the garage doors the same color as the house so they aren't the first thing that catches the eye. Bring an accent color up to the main level of the house in the trim, front door, maybe some other feature painted a contrasting color.

SillySimian9

Cream for the main color, and stark black for the trim. Garage doors should be a dark gray

psychedelicfurs80s

Stone and siding are beautiful. If anything maybe more contrast with the trim colour a darker color. Honestly the colors are fine, but I think there needs to be a focal point cause the front door is not visible. I'd actually work on that aspect.
