You should try Gomez. They’re at the stadium usually, if not, they’re pretty close and in OTR. They make these things called turtles. They’re like Crunchwrap supremes on steroids. They’re dope.
Gomez is right behind the bailey at the stadium in one of the food stands/stalls. My season tickets are on that side of the stadium and I've gotten a turtle every game so far!
The turtle menu is limited inside the stadium which makes sense. The OTR location is less than a mile and the variety is well worth going to the actual restaurant. Don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that they have turtles in the stadium. Definitely beats traditional concessions.
Bring your own weed, if youre into that. Its legal here now but not yet really selling publicly. Also, I second the Gomez rec. And we always have skyline chili... If youre put off by skyline I suggest just sticking with the coneys and maybe staying away from the 4 ways
I just take a vape. Its better for everyone and i dont wanna be rude. I hate cigarettes so i try to be as respectful as i can. Even with my vape i stay away from ppl if im using it
Glad you are coming to the game! My Fiance and I are first time season ticket holders for FCC. My buddy helped to open up Bees BBQ in OTR. best brisket in town and a great atmosphere.
To be honest we hate playing NYRB because they tend to flop and whine a lot. It’s not uncommon for those games to get 10 minutes of stoppage at the end. It gets dramatic for no reason. Tolkin is a diva. Frankie is a brat. Just play!
THAT SAID I sincerely hope you explore our town and find all that we love about it. If you want a quick bite near the stadium, I highly recommend Gomez, specifically the Turtle—it’s like a Taco Bell Crunchwrap but made with way better ingredients and their salsa is phenomenal! Rhinegeist is the most well known craft brewery and it’s also close to the stadium, best beer in town. If you’re sticking around for a few days there’s a lot to love around here: Sawyer Point/Smale Park near the baseball stadium, the museums at Union Terminal, the Neon Sign Museum, and so much more.
And for God’s sake make sure you get Skyline at least once.
Lol I don't give a shit, I just had to throw that out there.
If you want some killer wings and fries check out The Pony on Main St. A little farther away from TQL but still reasonably close.
Vine St and Main St have tons of options.
I can't speak for everyone here but branding & location play a pretty big part of it, too. It's just human nature to hate the big city/metro club when you're in the part of a country that gets overlooked. Frankie just amplified that to eleven.
That being said, I personally have nothing against RBNY supporters. That whole area of New Jersey is a mecca for soccer history, I just wish you guys were represented by something with more soul than an energy drink.
Hope you enjoy your stay in Cincy though. I'd offer some recs but I was born a poor corn child so they'd only be mid at best.
I’ll be honest, my hatred of RBNY stems more from watching Kaku drill a fan in the face from ten feet away during the SKC match than anything else. Frankie was just icing on the cake.
There’s this rad spot right across the river called Le Toilette. I know the Red Bulls have quite the appetite for bullshit so it should be right up your alley!
East of the stadium is an area called Over-The-Rhine or OTR. About 3 big blocks east of the stadium is a street called Vine street with a ton of great eateries.
If you aren’t looking for sit down spots. Gomez Salsa at 12th and Walnut has great food. My favorite is a turtle (thing Chipotle burrito covered in cheese and placed in a panini press) You can also get them in the stadium underneath the Bailey.
Most places will be busy so get there early.
It’s nice seeing away fans taking in the area. I’d highly recommend milk man (classic 50’s diner style burgers) or mazunte. Both are reasonably priced and absolutely delicious!
Welcome to Cincinnati! I hope you have a safe drive! Washington Park is full of activity before the game. If you like fried chicken, The Eagle OTR is delicious! Findlay Market has lots of options and is a walkable market with drinks, sweets and such. You can grab a quick lunch. Taste of Belgium has a great chicken sandwich! If you head 3 minutes west The Incline Public House has great pizza and a big drink menu. Lots of choices in general downtown Vine st, Walnut street area. Fountain Square is a nice walk and view about town. The Banks is also full of restaurants and a wonderful place to walk and view the river. Also, parking meters everywhere so parking isn’t that bad. Download the app and pay online. I hope this helps! Enjoy your visit!
I already put in my recommendations I just wanted to also say I really hope you have a good time and enjoy our atmosphere. I am bias as hell but I think its pretty great here! Please post a post FCC visit on our reddit to let us know what your experience was that would be really cool.
The streetcar is a block east of TQL. It’ll take you all throughout downtown. Check out Findlay market for food. Then get a beer at rhinegeist and you can watch the march from the rooftop. Then it’s an easy walk over to the stadium. Knockback Nats or pony for wings/bar food. Little nicer spots I love are Mitas, Sacred Beast, Pepp and Delores, Abigail Street. Best past I’ve ever had though is at [Wildweed](https://maps.app.goo.gl/5oUG8NnLAPHB3R5w8?g_st=ic) . Have fun but not too much ;)
I hate your team (too much flopping and gamesmanship), but I’ll always welcome away fans! There are LOTS of food and drinks options near the stadium, some can be booked in advance on apps like OpenTable, but lots of them are first come first served, so plan on eating early.
Some favorite pre-game restaurants of mine are The Milkman (burgers), Teak (Thai), Alcove (small bites and great beer), Abigail Street (American), Che (Argentinian), Bakersfield (Mexican), The Eagle (fried chicken), Taglio (pizza), Five On Vine (upscale).
For bars, check out Rheingeist - a local brewery with a big taproom.
I hope you have a great time in Cincinnati and a miserable time at the match :-).
As far as the stadium goes, all stands are cashless. Hot cocoa runs out of hot water on cold days and so get it early. During the second half of the game the machine can’t keep up with demand and you end up buying it lukewarm. I wish it was better. If you have tickets in the lower east side, you can enter an inside area for concession which will be heated.
Because of cashless system, everything asks for a tip, so decide if you want to til before paying so that you don’t feel pressured to tip on a drink you grabbed from a cooler or something off of a shelf.
The stadium concourses are tight so exiting after the game is slow. I usually plan to stay in my seats a bit and allow the initial rush to move through.
As most are saying, the food outside of the stadium is amazing.
Washington park is where the march comes together before going to the stadium. It’s something to behold. The incline collective on twitter will discuss timing of the march if you want to view, join, or avoid it.
Hey, hope you have a nice visit to cincinnati. Lots of good recommendations here. I would also vote for Findlay Market (multiple different restaurants in and around the market) plus lots of local flavor. A quick 7ish minute walk to the stadium.
the only other thing I didn't see while scanning the replies is that TQL is totally cash free.
Bring a credit card, or you can try to find one of the weird reverse ATM cards that will convert your cash into a debit card.
Still not a big fan of Frankie, but hey, can't love everyone :)
Hope you have a great visit, and I'm looking forward to your team losing 1-nil
I wish I could see us scoring more than 1 goal, but welp, that's about as good as it gets around here right now. But the back line is stout, and as we are playing the backup GK, we'll need to be strong as ever
If you’ve never been to cincy I’d say maybe check out Moerlein lager house. Good food and drinks plus a great view / walking area of the Ohio river, bridges, and reds/ bengals stadium. Can take the connector up towards the stadium afterwards if you don’t want to walk about 20-30 minutes.
Closer to the stadium: Mexican you have Gomez and Bakersfield that are great
Other great options: the eagle (great fried chicken) or sacred beast (contemporary American)
Outside of food places would definitely suggest going to the pitch, Rhinegeist, or any bar that a lot away fans are going to.
Take the good food n drinks and leave the 3 points in cincy xoxo
It is. But beast and skyline do not mix. But seriously though, assuming you’re not stopping by Kings Island for some reason you should pick up some skyline.
You should try Gomez. They’re at the stadium usually, if not, they’re pretty close and in OTR. They make these things called turtles. They’re like Crunchwrap supremes on steroids. They’re dope.
Hit Gomez in OTR and walk to the stadium. Quick great way to see downtown and be a part of match day.
this is the play. Get a full turtle w/ a bigger selection at the actual restaurant. It's a pretty marked difference.
This. 100% worth the walk
Gomez is right behind the bailey at the stadium in one of the food stands/stalls. My season tickets are on that side of the stadium and I've gotten a turtle every game so far!
wait you can get turtles in the stadium??? Holy hell
Yeah come to the 206/106 section and it's in a food stall right there! The Korean place is right next to it!
The turtle menu is limited inside the stadium which makes sense. The OTR location is less than a mile and the variety is well worth going to the actual restaurant. Don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that they have turtles in the stadium. Definitely beats traditional concessions.
I don’t have any solid recommendations but just wanted to say welcome to Cincinnati!
Thanks. Driving in tommorow from Jersey so I’m kinda excited.
central jersey, you say. 👀 nice
Bring your own weed, if youre into that. Its legal here now but not yet really selling publicly. Also, I second the Gomez rec. And we always have skyline chili... If youre put off by skyline I suggest just sticking with the coneys and maybe staying away from the 4 ways
Still not legal around the stadium tho. Or pretty much any public place. Much like tobacco
Also have heard a lot of good things about this place.
Yeah it is truly incredible.
Bee’s is so good. Those wings are mouth wateringly good
Bees bbq is so good, love their cornbread and wings
Tell Frankie Amaya to thank the fans and you'll probably get an answer
Look I get why you guys hate him( I would to if I was in your shoes) but to hate the rest of the team is a little much.
To be honest we hate playing NYRB because they tend to flop and whine a lot. It’s not uncommon for those games to get 10 minutes of stoppage at the end. It gets dramatic for no reason. Giving an upvote for the Sign Museum. Highly recommend.
Lol I don't give a shit, I just had to throw that out there. If you want some killer wings and fries check out The Pony on Main St. A little farther away from TQL but still reasonably close. Vine St and Main St have tons of options.
Thanks for the recommendations!
Legit, your team is the worst. They play terrible soccer and have brought some of the biggest flopping bullshit I have witnessed in MLS.
There are no lies here but I think this dude is just trying to go to a soccer game in another city and have a nice time
I also made a recommendation elsewhere. But he was confused on why we would hate the team and I was explaining.
I can't speak for everyone here but branding & location play a pretty big part of it, too. Seen Cincy Red Bulls matchups a little much for my liking over the last two years. But I’m fine with you guys.
We hate the rest of the team because Red Bulls style gegenpressing is the most miserable style of soccer to watch.
Clifton skyline, graeters ice cream and fuck Frankie. Welcome to cincy
Homie…. Don’t send them to skyline. Gross. I know it’s a Cincinnati staple but there are so many other, better food options around the stadium.
Nah fuck that. Gotta try Skyline at least one time.
East of the stadium is an area called Over-The-Rhine or OTR. About 3 big blocks east of the stadium is a street called Vine street with a ton of great eateries. Finley market may be worth a visit
Always

Yes

We put chili and cheese on spaghetti here...
Shhh! We're trying to welcome him, not terrify the poor guy
Loading up away fans with draft beer and skyline chili before the match is a time-honored tradition

I have never had Bakersfield while sober, but I dream of it. It is so so good.
I eat out a lot. My all time favorite place in Cincinnati is Abigail Street (it’s a restaurant not a street) in OTR, 3 block from the stadium.
If into ramen, zundo is super close and banging.
Hit otr
Thought about giving him the worst recommendation possible because I hate NYRB, but I took the high road lol…Get Gold Star wink wink
I recommend goldstar chili and driving the 275 loop for siteseeing. Give Frankie our best, you schmuck
Can you really say you’ve been to Cincy without some skyline? I don’t think so.
But I went on Beast at night last time I went.
What?!? Why would you subject yourself to that?
Because I’m a coaster enthusiast and I’ve heard it’s legendary at night/
It is. But beast and skyline do not mix. But seriously though, assuming you’re not stopping by Kings Island for some reason you should pick up some skyline.
It’s still offseason at Kings Island. So I can’t go, but skyline I will be having.
Love it!!!!
