I love their tortilla chips! They have good deli meat options (no nitrates, preservatives etc). And pre-cut and washed vegetables. And this isn't specific to trader Joe's, but I make a cucumber, cherry tomato, and feta salad at least once a week! I add in basil olive oil and kalamta olives as well if I have them.

Pre-cut veggies are convenient, but they’re at an [increased risk of carrying bacterial endotoxin](https://nutritionfacts.org/video/friday-favorites-are-pre-cut-vegetables-just-as-healthy/). If you buy them, make sure to get them as fresh as possible!

I love their gluten free baking and pancake mixes. (Of course gluten is not the issue, but they’re wheat free.) Right now the Ube Mochi seasonal pancake & waffle mix is in. It makes fun purple pancakes. I stock up on their refrigerated sausages and freeze them. Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage (edited to say that this one is if you can do the fructose and sorbitol in the apple), Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage, and Spicy Italian Chicken Sausage. Do *not* get the organic versions of any of these sausages since those have garlic. The refrigerated section also has great, very tasty, gluten free fettuccine. It freezes well. If you don’t freeze it, it has an expiration date. (There is a new cauliflower based, cheese filled pasta that cannot be frozen. I don’t mean that one.) Freezer section: sliced Korean Rice Cakes. Then, if you can do cheese there’s: Corn & Cheese Arepas, Chicken Cheese & Green Chile Pupusas, Cheese and Green Chile Tamales I am not sure about the frozen section Kimbap. Someone else mentioned the Go Macro bars. Check them for the low Fodmap mark on the back, since only some flavors are low Fodmap.

Are the sausages you mention fresh (raw), prepared/processed (in deli category) or frozen? Going to TJs this week and would like to know where to look so I can try them. It's always a huge crushing crowd (big city) so knowing where to zero in to look would be helpful.

smallbrownfrog

The sausages are refrigerated and fully cooked. I have a picture in an older post that I’ll link to. Edited to add link to an old post of mine with a [picture](https://www.reddit.com/r/FODMAPS/s/zrheAUd3qM) of the Sweet Italian and the Spicy Italian. I have confirmed with Trader Joe’s that neither one has garlic or onion, but don’t get the organic versions since the organic ones *do* have garlic.

Ooooh, TYSVMuch 😊never noticed these.

Hi_AJ

Go macro bars

smallbrownfrog

Check the back of the bars. Some have a Fodmap certification.

MertylTheTurtyl

Their garlic olive oil is safe for me. I also LOVE their brown rice GF penne pasta.

Para_Regal

I recently discovered that TJ’s hash browns are low-FODMAP! I was overjoyed.

orshine

In the refrigerated section: - sous vide chicken thighs that are FODMAP safe and good for last minute protein additions - pork carnitas - in certain states (East coast I think) they’ve supposedly got a good gluten free pizza dough +1 to others pointers in the frozen section (pupusas, tamales, also a Japanese fried rice mix that I’ve heard they have but haven’t seen at my Trader Joe’s). I haven’t tried these yet but am looking forward to: - Gluten Free Breaded Shrimp - Chicken sausage breakfast patties The gluten free Madeline’s and plantain chips are also delicious and a good quick snack.

raygod47

The chicken sausage patties are really good!

thedisnerdiest

They have the absolute best turkey burger patties.

kitkat_insondes

Frozen or fresh? I've been getting the Simple Nature frozen from Kroger/Frys but would prefer TJs - I've never seen them when shopping there.

thedisnerdiest

Frozen. $3.99 for 4 patties. It's ground turkey, kosher salt, and rosemary extract. That's it. So good!!

kitkat_insondes

TYSVMuch, great ingredient list. I’ll grab some tomorrow.🤞🏼

Latter-Fruit-5449

I LOVE their Turkey burgers

Octocatt8

Their sourdough works for me.

Love both the chicken & the cheese green chile versions of Tamales from the deli section, just wish I could have beans instead of rice with them to make a real Mexican meal .... maybe one day, just need to get to testing all FODMAPS as I'm in Personalization phase 3. TJ's Coconut Aminos is great to add savory/sweet flavor or as dipping sauce & it's FODMAP safe per Monash at 1 tsp but takes 10 times as much at 2 1/2 Tbsp to be moderate Fructans. So likely ok for about 1 Tbsp or so - up to personal tolerance but even at a tsp it's a good seasoning. Frozen Vegetable Spring Rolls - By mistake and dumb luck, found they don't trigger me even with a serve up to 1 & 1/2. But they do have soy, veg & garlic that are FODMAP - perhaps low enough to be mostly tolerable or maybe just for me. Wheat wrapper too but it is very very thin so a small amount. YMMV. I serve them with simple broth & rice noodle with fresh basil, mint, green onion tops floated on top plus a protein, canned chicken or egg. Rolled Chile Lime Corn chips are awesome, have just 5 or 6 in a cup of Skinny Pop plain popcorn, totally satisfying with the big flavor burst. They were TJ's #1 Food of the Year and they were 💯 out of stock on last visit, hopefully they're back on the next visit. TJ's has that same Chile Lime Seasoning in a jar - NOT really hot, it's great on just about anything and NO GARLIC OR ONION, just those 2 seasonings. TJ's has great prices on bags of organic or wild arugula (a super food type green) that is FODMAP ok at 2 cups (called Lettuce, rocket/arugula in Monash). Great in salad or on sandwiches. Also in produce, Fennel bulbs cheaper than anyplace else and a nice mild licorice flavor with celery type crunch. Good sliced super thin across the ribs in salads or oven/pan roasted to serve w/Italian dishes or as side to meat/carb dinner. Monash says 1/2 c is ok. Brown Rice Cake Thins are great w/T peanut butter, few dark choc chips/pieces, couple peanuts &/or mini marshmallows as desert. Guess you could do S'mores with them if you wanted to go all out. PoundPlus Dark or Bittersweet Chocolate bars - best price for top quality Belgian chocolate. Just need to break the giant bar apart and only eat 1-2 squares to stay FODMAP safe. Lasts a few weeks for both of us.
