every time I see posts like this I get so emotional bc I WISH I could go back and start from the very beginning with fresh ears 😭♥️ the realist in me says start from the first album, but I really think if you only end up listening to one, it has to be infinity on high or folie a deux
I feel this. The first song i ever heard was Saturday in i want to say 2003, and it’s been an adventure ever since. It is nuts to me sometimes how fast time moves.
I definitely feel grateful that FOB is still doing almost the same thing as the beginning, keeping the music/everything fresh while i’ve grown into my 30’s is consistency that has honestly probably helped me out more than I realize
I really miss the first few years though. That shit was a *ride*

I do also agree that IOH and Folie are two really must listen albums; FUTCT just catered to everything i wanted in an album when it was released and still does
*these friends are golden*
Everything. Start from the beginning.
A fun, incredibly journey I'd say the majority of us would LOVE to experience for the first time over again!
Happy listening!
I like all eras of Paramore and I do like mcr a little. I like there popular singles from the under the cork tree era. Not a big fan of what have heard from save rock and roll and American psycho
From Under the Cork Tree is the answer I think then. That album was an all time paradigm shifting gift to the pop-punk realm. I wouldn’t say there’s a bad song on it, and that era of FOB was so much fun.
This is is so key! Snitches and Talkers is a song you shouldn’t miss and Music or the Misery is so good too. This album is like the blueprint to a perfect LP in this genre haha
I got into Fall Out Boy during the Infinity on High era, but Folie a Deux was the first album I remember being hype for it to drop, bought on release day, and have been listening to on heavy rotation every since. Definitely my favorite album of theirs, and probably one of my favorite of all time.
Start at the beginning of the current lineup. TTTYG. Then go from there. FOB's music is timeless yet captures the time it was created in. Modern Day Beatles.
My fav is Follie, but i also feel like Infinity on High is their best produced album.
I think FUTCT and TTYG are a little less digestible for a new listener than anything post hiatus or those first two i mentioned.
Infinity on High was my first and that shit sucked me right in
The way I was ready to throw hands until I read those last three words 😂
I was ready to throw hands… then I read the rest
Folie a Deux. My favourite album by them and now one of my favourite albums of all time.
This album fucking rules. So underrated when it came out.
start with infinity on high. such a strong album from beginning to end.
I second from under the cork tree, especially if you like paramore and mcr

Infinity on high the best album

What song got you interested? What other music are you into?

Cork for sure. Also don’t forget the extra songs in the Limited Tour Edition (on spotify!). Snitches and Talkers hits close to MCR.

Go in order! But please give them another listen after because the songs you grow to like never stick at first
Go in order and enjoy! IMO no skips on their first four albums and very few in the subsequent ones too.

Save rock and roll
All of them in order 🗣️
Take this to your grave go in order but skip mania
do NOT skip Mania
Ikr idk why mania is getting so much hate every song from mania is a BANGER. Not my fav album but it's not a skipable album at all
No way, I agree go in order but to skip mania?? 😱
this take is craaaazy lol youre in the wrong place bud

Go in order!! It's so fun to hear the band evolve. I wish I could relive when I first heard Folie and instantly fell in love with it
