I had heard so many horror stories about Cazadors, and I was worried for when I first would fight one. However I did Old World Blues first, and I kept the heartless perk. My first fight with Cazador was a bit of a let down with how easy it was.
I remember my first encounter, I saw a couple of these buzzing around near some.rocks, thought easy xp, the stealth little shits absolute tore me a new one.
I love how in old world blues one of the scientists casually drops that he invented cazadores and that they are “docile in nature and infertile” and wont believe you if you say they are all over the mojave
Oh for sure
I only had my horror story cause in 3 you followed the quest marker, and that was towards New Vegas
So I set off
And got fucking demolished
They attacked me on my way to the dlc, wasted all of my antivenom on the way there.
Can’t wait to finish up and go back and kick their ass with my new mangled body.
I'll never forget the moment I mistook one for a bloatfly level enemy. It was a pack of superspeed murder flies against one guy with a 9mm pistol and a dream
Lmao same! I feel like hbomberguy hit the mail on the head when he was saying “you’ll be surprised to find out they move as quick as the trucks they hit like!”
I found a point where they’d get stuck against a jagged bit of terrain so you could shoot them, wait for them to get stuck, then pick them off from a distance. Got a bit of XP that way.
They are very similar tbh, both are named Cazador, both are parasites, and both are more of a nuisance than the actual threat everyone builds them up to be
What’s the hardest fight in your opinion? For me it’s usually Moonrise and Ketheric. Everything before that point is manageable/easy; everything after that you have total freedom in terms of what order you complete it, so you can save the hardest act 3 stuff for level 12.
I feel like Ketheric was the sharpest difficulty spike in the game, or it felt that way to me.
Not so much denial that it went Jurassic Park though. The Think Tank don't really know about the Mojave until the Courier mentions it, thanks to Mobius doing a little memory editing on them.
Fucking things made me reliant on the cheat console on my first PC play through.
Then you got that fucking whip-hiss sound when they poison the player that plays over and over.
Fuck I hate those things. First time I found them in new Vegas I didn’t realize they poison you. Killed them all and used all my stim packs doing it then just dropped dead from the poison
People really underestimate the concept of crippling a limb sometimes especially in this game series. Like in 76 I barely ever see anyone trying to cripple the boss like SBQ while I'm trying so hard to cut the bitches wings off
People really underestimate the concept of crippling a limb sometimes especially in this game series. Like in 76 I barely ever see anyone trying to cripple the boss like SBQ while I'm trying so hard to cut the bitches wings off
speaking of 76 or 4... deathclaws became easy once i realized you can cripple its legs and render them immobile. same with ghouls... blast their legs off and its all cheese from there on out.
big reason why i use the dart gun in fallout 3... cripples both legs immediately!
One of the most satisfying discoveries of the game was when I started targeting their wings.
I had a special bat from Gun Runners I’d use once the little bastards were stuck on the ground lol
I dont hate them and dont understand the issue. lol. just shoot these fuckers in the wings and drop them! maybe it is my playstyle and always being able to snipe. those geckos creep me out...they run too hilarious to take them seriously and they look like muppets
When I ran into one of these fucks on my first NV playthrough, I think I legitimately jumped and yelled, "What the hell is that thing?"
I was shocked to find out later they're based on an actual insect.
I do. I hate them so much. I had the ps3 launch copy of New Vegas and no internet as a kid and anytime there were more than three cazadors on screen it would crash the game.
It may sound messed up but if I come across them I will let my companions aggro them so I can run through wherever I need to go. Gives me a few extra seconds before my companions lose consciousness
on my first playthrough of nv i was so confused and pissed at the ncr soldier outside primm so i had the genius idea to just go the other way and those fuckers beat the living daylights out of me! needless to say they can burn in hell lol
Hate/love I hate these guys as they could’ve being the best super weapon over the death claw … release like a bio wepaon and then the exterminators torch the area with phosphorous s
Just extend this to all the bugs in fallout. I get the shivers and physically slightly recoil every time I see any of the bugs chasing me. Man do I hate them.
I was playing New Vegas today and was jumpscared by a random slow motion closeup of Veronica punching one into fine paste. I mean, good job, but holy shit warn me next time.
Honestly they are not that bad. Hard early on, sure, but they aren't an early game enemy. They are only problematic on Hardcore where they will kill all of your companions who are not programmed to use anti venom and will run out of stimpacks before the effect wears off.
They didn't have the mechanics but I bet they could wrap your face with their wings and suffocate you while stinging.
I sent the divide missiles into the Big Empty, fuck those scientists who made them.
i like killing them, just snipe them or shoot from a distance, no one is fighting them up close but ive killed then ones past good springs on new playthroughs, though with the dlc
Nah, they're alright. I respect them. They're one of the few creatures in the Mojave that can actually put up a semblance of a fight, why hate them for that? They're only really dangerous if you try and fight them unprepared. Take a Hunting Rifle & some antivenom with you into their territory, and they're just free caps.
Ahh yeah it all depends on how you go about it.. I always find them the first time when I'm absolutely under level and under equipped for them.. but then I return later to f..k them stupid mo fos up!!
"what is that weird ass thing with janky animations in the distance? i'll just sneak over and zoom in and take a peak and oh there's more of them and HOW DOES SOMETHING IN THIS GAME ENGINE MOVE LIKE THIS FUUUUUUCK
WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO HERE? DIE?"
I hate them so much they always seam to find me when I'm running around an they catch up to me than start attacking or they blend into the foreground an I can't see them to dispatch them, jerks.
Most playthroughs I just use the Mercenary's Grenade Rifle & any Dynamite I got in Goodsprings, rain it all down on the cazadors from the cliffs above to get through to Vegas early....
I found a secret after 10 years of playing the game. Turns out they don’t like 12g with a high gun skill. Fuck them things I’ve damn near broken controllers (I play pc with a controller) over these damn things.
I was just telling my friend how much I hate these fucking things. He told me he got killed by one and it somehow launched him across the map which was pretty funny.
Very dumb, eats my db shotgun and basically everything I throw at them, only way to clear hordes it to use Euclids c-finder, and there’s always a second swarm ready to skullfuck you
On replay I'm doing as an unarmed build, surprisingly easy enemies. Don't think I've died to them once. Just gotta remember to use the antivenom right after getting hit and they do 90% less damage
The first of the 7 times i beat this game i was 12, about 14 years ago. I had no idea what i was doing and went off the main road into the mountains towards Jacobstown. Took me six plus hours to finally manage to kill them. Stupid little shits
Ah yes, the enemy so obnoxious that three of the four major DLCs added counters to it.
The best answer early on is snakebite tourniquets. Stopping the poison and providing maximum poison resistance for the remainder of the fight is more than sufficient for handling them.
Guys you have to hit their wings in vats.. once they cant fly they are the easiest things to kill bring a fuck load of jet and honestly you’ll be fine. A shotgun is best with Mag rounds but you can use any weapon. AIM FOR THE WINGS
I used to play with realistic damage mods, so they'd die somewhat easily for me. The thing is, those badies only took 1-2 hits to put me down. I also used mods to make guns and ammo to be rarer, and another AI mod that made npcs take cover, supress fire and stuff. It made combat much more positional and strategic. Ahhh... I need to play this game again. I do miss a good ol' rpg game
Laughs in heartless perk

Perhaps they are if they’re raised by humans. Maybe they’re different outside of captivity.
Oh for sure I only had my horror story cause in 3 you followed the quest marker, and that was towards New Vegas So I set off And got fucking demolished
They attacked me on my way to the dlc, wasted all of my antivenom on the way there. Can’t wait to finish up and go back and kick their ass with my new mangled body.
This post was made by the dinnerbell gang all my homies love crippling Cazador wings
dinner bell vs fully upgraded hunting shotgun, a battle for the ages
I'll never forget the moment I mistook one for a bloatfly level enemy. It was a pack of superspeed murder flies against one guy with a 9mm pistol and a dream
Lmao same! I feel like hbomberguy hit the mail on the head when he was saying “you’ll be surprised to find out they move as quick as the trucks they hit like!”

Astarion approves.
They are very similar tbh, both are named Cazador, both are parasites, and both are more of a nuisance than the actual threat everyone builds them up to be
Well I sure hated the fight. Having to deal with a horde of monsters AND cazador all while having to deal damage to the actual ritual members
I found it fairly easy, especially compared to other fights in the same act. I just bursted Cazador down immediately after freeing Astarion.
What’s the hardest fight in your opinion? For me it’s usually Moonrise and Ketheric. Everything before that point is manageable/easy; everything after that you have total freedom in terms of what order you complete it, so you can save the hardest act 3 stuff for level 12. I struggled with the house of grief the most.
If you like these fuckers, block me.
I like … to cripple their wings.
I’ll allow it.
It's a good thing they never made it out of our secure labs at Big Mountain!
[Insert shocked face here]
That idiot Borous was so certain his little science experiments couldn't "Jurassic Park" and when they did? Denial, denial denial.
Not so much denial that it went Jurassic Park though. The Think Tank don't really know about the Mojave until the Courier mentions it, thanks to Mobius doing a little memory editing on them.
That's fair. Super Wasps can't get out of Big Mtn if Big Mtn is all there is, right??
Precisely! This "Mojave" is just the mad ramblings of some brainless lobotomite.
I love killing cazadors, they are one of the creatures that deserves some plasma the most
Fucking things made me reliant on the cheat console on my first PC play through. Then you got that fucking whip-hiss sound when they poison the player that plays over and over.
A six pack of relentless death. The only way to kill them in one shot is with a WIld Wasteland alien blaster.
Explosive .50 BMG makes short work of them tbh
Sneak headshots from Hunting Rifles tend to do the trick as well tbh.
Or fatman. Puny insects can not out run nuclear bullet. It costs exactly 12 hundred thousand bottle caps to launch a fatman for exactly 12 seconds.
I would but I feel a little woozy.
He poisoned our water supply, burned our crops and delivered a plague unto our houses!
**HE DID?**
**HE DID!**
No! But are we just gonna wait around until he does?
Cazador is Spanish for Asshole.
Sure did feel like that.
Actually 🤓☝️, Cazador means hunter, but yeah, they are assholes nonetheless
It's from a meme when New Vegas was released.
Fuck I hate those things. First time I found them in new Vegas I didn’t realize they poison you. Killed them all and used all my stim packs doing it then just dropped dead from the poison
The gift that keeps on taking…hp that is
Fuck these things and fuck their faces.
Yeah, they suck. Suck a lot less without their stupid wings though
Without a doubt, these fuckers are the worse enemies in any game I've ever played. Absolutely little fuckcunts.
There are no bad cazadores, just bad cazador owners.
There are no bad cazador owners because they were all killed by the bad cazadors.
Fucking buzzing ugly flappy winged bastards.
I hate them…
I’d rather take on a Deathclaw
i like em when i cripple their wings.... idk why people thought they were hard... cripple the wings and call it a day. shotguns help too.
People really underestimate the concept of crippling a limb sometimes especially in this game series. Like in 76 I barely ever see anyone trying to cripple the boss like SBQ while I'm trying so hard to cut the bitches wings off

Their movement pattern makes low-PER VATS hits really unreliable.
right i dont use vats fighting them unless i absolutely need to though
One of the most satisfying discoveries of the game was when I started targeting their wings. I had a special bat from Gun Runners I’d use once the little bastards were stuck on the ground lol
I dont hate them and dont understand the issue. lol. just shoot these fuckers in the wings and drop them! maybe it is my playstyle and always being able to snipe. those geckos creep me out...they run too hilarious to take them seriously and they look like muppets
I live in Nevada and we have irl cazadores called tarantula hawks... they are terrifying.
Related: How do I un-Google something? 🫣
Lobotomy
I hated these things so much I added them to D&D.
I will admit, swatting at them with my power fist isn't the highlight of my day.
Look at the little guy
thought i was in the bg3 sub for a sec wth
These fuckers make me become a mountain goat for a few minutes in all my playthroughs.
i like them, pretty easy to kill for an enemy that grants 50xp throughout the game
You see them from far away and think they are just an easy bug to stomp and than you get close and its a "fuck fuck fuck fuck" moment
Inserting Fallout fans shaking hands with Baldur's Gate 3 fans on hating Cazador.
For this reason I always grab a plasma pistol with the mag accelerator from good springs before I head north for love and hate
When I ran into one of these fucks on my first NV playthrough, I think I legitimately jumped and yelled, "What the hell is that thing?" I was shocked to find out later they're based on an actual insect.
> I was shocked to find out later they're based on an actual insect I think that's more scarier than what they let on
Man I hate them. I hate them real good.
Lost count of how many times I've been spawnkilled by them when using fast travel in new vegas...
I think the first time I fought these I screamed so loud I gave myself a headache, just genuine fear
I like them... after I hit them with a grenade launcher rendering their wings useless and I go punch them in the face!
I fucking hate the buzz of these cocksuckers.
I do. I hate them so much. I had the ps3 launch copy of New Vegas and no internet as a kid and anytime there were more than three cazadors on screen it would crash the game.
Knight Rhys is much worse than Cazadors
the only good cazador is a dead cazador
It may sound messed up but if I come across them I will let my companions aggro them so I can run through wherever I need to go. Gives me a few extra seconds before my companions lose consciousness
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
on my first playthrough of nv i was so confused and pissed at the ncr soldier outside primm so i had the genius idea to just go the other way and those fuckers beat the living daylights out of me! needless to say they can burn in hell lol
What? It's just an ordinary enem- **OH MY GOODNESS**!
No
Why do they have to hunt in packs, what evil bastard came up with that
man, never hav I been scared and disgusted and creeped by any real insect in real world but this cazadore is whole knew level for me
Hate/love I hate these guys as they could’ve being the best super weapon over the death claw … release like a bio wepaon and then the exterminators torch the area with phosphorous s
I got trapped with a bunch of these and nearly threw away my Xbox. Had to turn my difficulty allll the way down
Finally my thread is here. I hate them. Ok that felt good
CZ57 Avenger goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrrt.
Oh come on, it's not like they're Cliff racers or anything.
4 cazadors would destroy 4 cliff racers
i used to hate these things up until i learned the secret to make them easy kills, target their wings and they get significantly easier
Just extend this to all the bugs in fallout. I get the shivers and physically slightly recoil every time I see any of the bugs chasing me. Man do I hate them.
Nothing a little 40mm can't fix
sonovabitches.
What the fuck is that poison stop bro FFS
You've heard of angry birds on slingshots? Here's angry bugs on psychojet!
I was playing New Vegas today and was jumpscared by a random slow motion closeup of Veronica punching one into fine paste. I mean, good job, but holy shit warn me next time.
The terminid menace will cross every line
I Fucking ha... (dies of poison damage)

Jeepers Creepers if anyone remembers what I'm referencing
They are horrible! I hate the sounds they make!
Those swarming flying phucking bugs!!!!!
Much prefer the BrendleFly
[Hate hate hate hate,](https://media.tenor.com/oAVDoJEP8hYAAAAM/dave-chapelle-hate-you.gif)
AHHHHHHH
I get in line to spit hate upon thee...
The hatred I feel towards the mad men that created those.
Aim for the wings. It's really not that bad.
i like killing them, just snipe them or shoot from a distance, no one is fighting them up close but ive killed then ones past good springs on new playthroughs, though with the dlc
poopheads
Hate? Hate? I LOATHE them!
I never really had a problem with them- OH GOD IT BURNS, MY FACE BURNS! GET IT OFF ME OH GOOD GOD LORD IN HEAVE-
Nah, they're alright. I respect them. They're one of the few creatures in the Mojave that can actually put up a semblance of a fight, why hate them for that? STUPID BZZZ BZZZ THINGS! I DISLIKE YOU! ... did I do good? :x
Oh I hate them so bad
NO they're awesome I love them
Ahh yeah it all depends on how you go about it.. I always find them the first time when I'm absolutely under level and under equipped for them.. but then I return later to f..k them stupid mo fos up!!
I like cazadors
Fuck them bugs! I got a .45 smg loaded with hollow points just for them. If I could rename weapons Id call it Raid.
Season 2 is a go!
Cazadors > Oliver Swanick
They go buzz buzz buzz, and they jitter and juke faster than any insect of that girth has a right to.
“I’m sorry! I just wanted to take the quickest way there!”
Fuck those varmints they had me and rusty pete saying “what in tarnation!” Then they were on us so fast our heads were spinning!
"what is that weird ass thing with janky animations in the distance? i'll just sneak over and zoom in and take a peak and oh there's more of them and HOW DOES SOMETHING IN THIS GAME ENGINE MOVE LIKE THIS FUUUUUUCK WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO HERE? DIE?"
Headed to Jackson’s town at like level 13… I decided to try and take a short cut…. Courier 6 wasn’t seen again….
fuck those things
Hate, hate, hate. Hate, hate, hate. Double hate. LOATHE ENTIRELY!
These sods are the reason deathclaws stay in quarry junction
Love and hate and some turbo "Ora Ora Ora ora ora ora!"
All my homies hate cazador
I actually love them. They're a pain in the ass to fight, but they look so damn cool
They are straight butts.
I hate them so much they always seam to find me when I'm running around an they catch up to me than start attacking or they blend into the foreground an I can't see them to dispatch them, jerks.
Heading to ranger station foxtrot heading west from share croper farm Biggest fucking regret.
Automatic grenade launcher goes BRRRRRR
Fuck these fast fucking venomous ass pieces armored trash
Figured it was universal at this point.
Fuckers
Maaan do I hate ‘em! Karma please.
I want to mobilize the Helldivers against these pieces of shit.
I enjoy watching them kill each other when their antennas are crippled, such a sight for sore (and poisoned and woozy) eyes
BURN THE WINGS. EAT THEM
Every single time I think I can shoot them from a distance and kill them before they reach me. Every single time I am wrong.
Idk I don’t know them that well lmfao
Hate them mfs
Fuck those things. Or my .44 magnum might just be weak..
Most playthroughs I just use the Mercenary's Grenade Rifle & any Dynamite I got in Goodsprings, rain it all down on the cazadors from the cliffs above to get through to Vegas early....
Come join me as I pull down my pants and shit on their corpses
I found a secret after 10 years of playing the game. Turns out they don’t like 12g with a high gun skill. Fuck them things I’ve damn near broken controllers (I play pc with a controller) over these damn things.
I don't truly hate, I just think they're scary as sh!+
I was just telling my friend how much I hate these fucking things. He told me he got killed by one and it somehow launched him across the map which was pretty funny.
Laughs in fatman
I feel woozy
I will never forget my first encounter with one of them. Underestimated doesn’t even describe the ass kicking I received.
*You cannot fast travel while taking health damage*
Hahahahaha
Very dumb, eats my db shotgun and basically everything I throw at them, only way to clear hordes it to use Euclids c-finder, and there’s always a second swarm ready to skullfuck you
FUCK THEM AND THEIR STUPID BUZZING AND STINGERS! FUCK! FUCK!
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU (cazadors)
GO BACK TO BIG MT NO ONE LOVES YOU
On replay I'm doing as an unarmed build, surprisingly easy enemies. Don't think I've died to them once. Just gotta remember to use the antivenom right after getting hit and they do 90% less damage
Absolutely hated the little bastards until I replaced my heart. Now I laugh at them.
Man fuck these things with a passion. Even on super easy with the riot gear they eat my health. I had to run and leave Boone behind
The first of the 7 times i beat this game i was 12, about 14 years ago. I had no idea what i was doing and went off the main road into the mountains towards Jacobstown. Took me six plus hours to finally manage to kill them. Stupid little shits
Wicked little helicopters of hate
Ah yes, the enemy so obnoxious that three of the four major DLCs added counters to it. The best answer early on is snakebite tourniquets. Stopping the poison and providing maximum poison resistance for the remainder of the fight is more than sufficient for handling them.
I remember the Cazador mixed with a deathclaw mod.
Guys you have to hit their wings in vats.. once they cant fly they are the easiest things to kill bring a fuck load of jet and honestly you’ll be fine. A shotgun is best with Mag rounds but you can use any weapon. AIM FOR THE WINGS
Every post is a cazador hate post.
I honestly love the buggers too much
I used to play with realistic damage mods, so they'd die somewhat easily for me.
Cazador vs Stingwing, go
Uhhhh grrr I guess? Anyway, heil the NCR! 🫡
