And the scenery is so beautiful

Unhappy_Passage_8823

I recently modded my fallout 76 with reshade and Appalachia Alpines, probably the most beautiful Fallout has ever looked for me

DolphinBall

How do you mod a online game?

Unhappy_Passage_8823

Nexus mods, the mods only make the game visually different so it doesn't effect gameplay. Stuff like turning Appalachia into a NV style desert or just making the nature more lush. Though there are some quality of life mods like making certain important items easier to spot.

Elitericky

Which mod manager do you use?

Unhappy_Passage_8823

mod managers don't work too well on 76 at the moment, so I modded the game by going into the games files

Elitericky

I see any mods you recommend currently? Most seem to be outdated atm.

Unhappy_Passage_8823

the main ones I use that work for me are: Reshade (I use custom settings to make stuff stand out better) Appalachian Alpines (Makes the trees more accurate to real Wst Virginia) Glowing Bobbleheads & Glowing Plans Storm Radio (massive new radio station with lore accurate radio ads and more songs) Ultra HD Textures High Detailed Map plus and Improved Healthbar

Elitericky

Thank you!

Socialist_Potato

Don’t worry about the date on the mods. Even though the game is online and gets updates often, Bethesda hasn’t messed with the file structure in years so mods don’t necessarily need to be updated as often. Also all the mods are loaded into the game through it’s update files and are mostly replacers/overlays so they don’t actually change anything. There isn’t anything super deep like the script extender or mods that require it. I just checked and most of my mods havn’t been updated since 2018 and all work fine.

Elitericky

Is it the same as just putting the mod file into the data folder? At least that’s how I remember how to mod 76 manually.

Socialist_Potato

Yeah that’s still how pretty much all of them are installed.

Flappy-tit

It’s all client side

MorningPapers

Kind of... If you mod certain things, the game will replace the file before you start. But many mods are OK, and there are always memory injection techniques (which will get you banned).

Flappy-tit

True, that’s like the radios on fo76 even though they’re just acting as a skin over the existing songs but they get loaded in naturally on start

Kazaanh

One day 76 will collapse . We will get Creation Kit along with dedicated server hosting. And we will enter second age of Warcraft3/Neverwinter nights map modding bungalo and community servers for everything. Fallout 76 with server browser would become eternal and dream to many people. Then Tale of Two Wastelands . . . Commonwealth and Appalachia. . .

Three_Froggy_Problem

I just started playing it after finishing 4 again and it’s really striking just how much lusher it is. I’m sure for some people it isn’t the Fallout world they’re used to, and I get that, but I do think it’s beautiful and it’s a refreshing change from all the dirt and dead trees of the other games.

ShreknicalDifficulty

I’ve been all over West Virginia and Bethesda pretty much nailed it

E9F1D2

Except Hillbilly Hotdogs is ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD. Unplayable. Quite literally unplayable!

thepeople1209

How love how they dove into the cryptid culture of West Virginia.

Battlejesus

I'm from Ohio but am familiar with Appalachian cryptids from watching that hilariously bad, definitely fake but absolutely amazing show Mountain Monsters. First time I encountered a snallygaster I about pissed myself laughing

KevinFish45

Dude I loved mountain monsters, I’ve never found another person who has even heard of it. I used to record every episode and almost piss myself every time the monster “broke out”.

Battlejesus

You remember the one where the sheepsquatch pissed in Trappers eye? I almost fuckin died

READY4SUMFOOBAW

This show was my guiltiest of pleasures. Loved making my family suffer through it with me. Absolutely made my FO76 the best rendition of Trapper I could manage with the tools I had

SpenZebra

Unlike you, I was mortified

ExedbySnuSnu

We had the chance to get it for free recently, I'm absolutely going to try it eventually. ...might take a while, but I will.

Dead_Dom

How’d you get it for free?

MAJ_Starman

It was free on Amazon Prime for a while.

bimbochungo

It was also free on the Microsoft store

vaultthirteencanteen

I'm sure physical copies are still like $3 everywhere

gradontripp

It’s “free” on PlayStation Plus.

KeneticKups

What is the turkey mutant?

PartyInTheUSSRx

A thrasher, it’s coming with the new region next update

Hybridkiller13

I’ve been out of the game for a couple years, we’re getting a new region to Appalachia??

LaylaLegion

Yup. Skyline Valley and later Shenandoah Park.

heavencs117

Aren't we getting a new vault soon too?

AntiCaesar

63, kinda. It's finally gonna be accessible but it's been there sine the start

wwvvdd4

I DIDN'T KNOW THIS. I'M SO HAPPY. I GREW UP IN SHENANDOAH. 🥹

United-Reach-2798

Yep

MY_SHIT_IS_PERFECT

Damn really? That’s dope. I might have to dive back in.

TimmyTheNerd

Which is coming this month, iirc.

Penetrating_Holes

Don’t forget the Radtoad. They look like a perfect addition to the messed up post nuclear fauna. Probably my favourite addition of ‘normal’ creatures.

ManagerRocky

Im always lost in the 76 discussions because people never mention the reason I stopped playing it, the grinding. It is an incredible map with amazing scenery. I’ve put a few dozen hours into it post wastelanders update and I wish I could explore the map more since that’s the point of fallout to me but that requires so much grinding time accompanying that exploration. Or is this part of what people mean when they just criticism its multiplayer MMO elements?

DeityOfDespairThe2nd

Probably because that's just the nature of MMOs. MMOs are nothing but a constant grindfest.

TsarOfIrony

I never did any grinding and I got powerful enough to explore the map. The only "grinding" I did was some public events I'd repeat (ie, the ones that only last for a week or two). I just did the quests and explored, it leveled me up enough.

Butteredpoopr

That’s the nature of mmos, it’s part of the game

thaiborg

My suggestion to you is… find a grind that you like. That’s why we keep playing 76, because we don’t mind the grind.

IndianaGroans

When they introduced one wasteland it was much easier to explore the whole map cause things leveled with you rather than you being locked into the first for 50 levels.

Leetnick93

Bethesda is weird like that. They’ll nail certain elements and then drop the ball so hard on things that they should have learned how to do by now. Starfield is weirdest fucking game I’ve ever played because of this.

PublicWest

I think they are chasing trends, and shoehorning mechanics into creation engine that creation engine wasnt designed to handle. It makes the gameplay so janky and stiff. They were chasing the Minecraft trend with fallout 4, the Rust trend with 76, and the procedural generation of NMS in Starfield. Multiplayer was not something that the creation engine could handle. Same with a 1000+ planet universe. Gameplay suffers immensely in both titles due to this and gains almost nothing in return, other than a mechanically worse version of Rust and No Man’s Sky. I think they just need to go back to the design philosophy of Skyrim, because the creation engine rules for exploration, environmental storytelling, and role-playing. They should be setting the trends by finding stuff that works in creation engine, not chasing them by retrofitting it

Driz51

I don’t like the game and still yes I will completely agree with that

tibburtz

If the setting of 76 was a standalone single player, it probably would be the best in the series.

thatthatguy

76 has done some very good work. Made some nice additions to the setting. I’m just not looking for an mmo.

69thalternatesccount

I mean, if it's worth anything to you it's like *the least mmo an mmo could be.* you can easily play single player through every quest and storyline in the game. It's just events that you see the most player activity at. Having a 20 person server limit on a massive map helps in that regard

Shwamage

There's an unfortunate group of the community who has written this game off due to the disastrous launch. I was one of them until I tried it out last year and I've been loving it since. Fallout with friends isn't for everyone but the map, music, creatures, and events are pretty fun!

thecatiscold

My main gripe with it was that playing with friends was a total chore. I guess we could have just dicked around and walked the wastes as a posse but it's fallout, I wanna do fun quests. Questing with friends is so insanely counterintuitive, at least from my experience with it, that it turned me off the game. I *want* to play Fallout with friends, but every time I've tried to play it feels like a game best played solo in a world of randoms.

Eedalope

Exactly this. My wife and I tried playing bc we wanted to play fallout together and it just felt insanely clunky. I kinda just had to stand around and not hear anything Going on or we could both do the mission at the same time but what’s the point of that?

meezethadabber

Fallout with friends would be sick with drop in and out coop like Borderland. It's the always online and the loot system is what people don't like.

GrandObfuscator

I write it off because I can’t stand MMOs and being forced into survival mechanics. So it doesn’t have survival mechanics apparently despite having status updates for eating and drinking which is exactly what a survival mechanic does.

WrethZ

You can't actually die of hunger or thirst I don't think it's more like you just get a buff if you're well fed.

foxinnabox

Just so we're all clear, 76 doesn't actually have survival mechanics.

GrandObfuscator

Did it at some point? Like I remember my character getting hungry and thirsty in early game and then a bunch of night level people throwing stuff at me so I wouldn’t be hungry and thirsty. Seems like a survival mechanic regardless of how it ultimately plays out. I won’t lie, I need access to the command prompt also. I hate grinding

masteryetti

There was until the wastelander update. Now hunger and thirst don't impose negatives. But if you do eat or drink, you get buffs

GrandObfuscator

Thank you. I played when the mechanic imposed negatives and not any other time.

masteryetti

I played right before the update so I saw that and liked it since I like survival mechanics. But when they transitioned to only having it as buffs, I completely understood. I still love the game. It's fun to play with my wife and our friends.

GrandObfuscator

I appreciate that people enjoy a game that I may not be fond of. I love all the other fallout titles

masteryetti

I would say give 76 a shot now. It's a much different game now. Especially if you already own it, have xbox gamepass/pc gamepass.

GrandObfuscator

I do have those options. Can you play the campaign solo?

AdonisBatheus

It was a good idea in theory, but after early game you have so much easy access to food and water that it becomes a tedious chore rather than a fun survival mechanic. It really was for the best, the game wasn't balanced around it being a survival game.

paulxixxix

Really? So me panicking because I didn't have any food was totally unnecessary? Lol

masteryetti

Yup. Lol

foxinnabox

There weren't any when I played a couple years ago so I went a'googling. There was apparently a "survival mode" beta released in March of 2019, but it was removed in Oct of that same year.

dragon_bacon

There's hunger and thirst to keep on top of but it also throws food and water at you.

foxinnabox

Do you die if you don't eat or drink?

dragon_bacon

I'm actually not sure, it's so easy to keep them both full that I've never let them get too low.

foxinnabox

I'm pretty sure nothing happens. You lose your food/drink buffs and that's it. Honestly I think it would be cool if they reintroduced an optional survival mode for hardcore players/immersion.

Sufficient_Delay6565

When it first released thirst and hunger could kill you, they have changed it since so that that's its a.buff to be well fed instead of a debuff to be starving.

EasyasACAB

There are no penalties for NOT eating and drinking. There are food and drink that give great bonuses, and you get a bonus for being "well fed"

MAJ_Starman

As someone that couldn't stand ESO, FO76 doesn't really feel like an MMO. I do love survival mechanics - but I think FO76's are way too lenient.

TeaRaven

I liked the survival mechanics at launch and was really bummed how they steadily stripped them all away to only providing buffs rather than abating negatives. Loved that one of the first objectives was “First Thing’s Thirst,” which may still exist when starting a new game but its importance is gone.

Laser_3

Food and water can be completely ignored in 76 with no major consequences, and the game plays far more like fallout 4 than it does any normal MMO.

Tarrorist

That’s the thing. Why would I ever play a game that is 50-75 percent fallout 4 assets with FOMO and mmo mechanics tacked on with micro transactions and fallout first on top of it all. Or I could just play a pretty decent game that requires no tedious grinds and has no FOMO, and looks nearly the same.

Laser_3

At this point, I’d argue that something closer to 65% of 76 was created exclusively for it, but even beyond that, you could make the same argument with NV reusing assets from 3 or 2 reusing assets from 1. There’s no shame in any game reusing assets from a previous one if it makes sense and saves development time. As for the FOMO, the atomic shop is all cosmetics (almost; some items are functional, but the bulk of those can be obtained in game, if you’re willing to put in the effort) and can be completely avoided - just like fallout 4’s creation club, which employs similar tactics. And in terms of grinding, if all you care about is exploring the map alongside the quests and you aren’t looking to be overpowered, almost no grinding is necessary. The questlines hand out endgame gear at their endings for this exact reason.

PublicWest

I don’t think it’s unfortunate. I played it at lunch, didn’t like it, picked it up again this year to try wastelanders, and I still think it’s a very lackluster game It has excellent scenery, good world building with the Cryptids, and good environmental storytelling. But the micro lag in every action you take, the grindy nature of the endgame, and paralyzed npcs who sit in one spot like FDR barking fetch quests to you make the game really suffer. All of this could’ve been fixed by making the game offline. All the power to anybody who loves this game, but the multiplayer aspect of it takes so much away, and adds nothing to make up for it in my eyes

Meatslinger

I’m just not in the least bit interested in a multiplayer Fallout experience. The only thing that would bring me to the game would be exclusive single player, and so long as that requires some dumb subscription, that’ll always be a hard pass for me.

MuramasaEdge

Many of us played the Beta and noped out of that tyre fire.

Individual_Papaya596

Came back to the game and it was pretty boring, the lack anything sentient in the beginning felt really boring. Unlike F4 or anything before the beginning is shockingly slow. But thats just me, i was able to enjoy the game by shutting my brain off, joining a very overleveled queue and dying on cool down while yelling stupid shit into the mic, that was a lot of fun

STANirvanaIND

I wouldn't call us an "unfortunate group". I have LITERALLY zero interest in an MMO Fallout. It has nothing to do with the game being "good" or not, it's just something that doesn't appeal to me (like other MMOs). But the disasterous launch definitely made it easier to write off. That being said, I'm ABSOLUTELY interested in a much more small-scale/locally cooperative Fallout that can be hosted dedicated and locally (like what they alluded to during prerelease). The "dedicated" servers they have now is not AT ALL what was promised (or I suppose assumed) during prerelease.

foxinnabox

So... I'm guessing you don't wanna dick around with me in Power Armor? 😞 *cries*

hardmallard

The wendigo scared the shit out of me playing for the first time blind. Thought it was another ghoul lol was I wrong.

Hellothere6666666666

What I love most about the game is the map (the most beautiful Fallout map ever), new weapons, and creatures. Although, I try to get into this game like every other month and I always end up uninstalling it again. I get so hyped, saying “This’ll be the time” just to become encumbered by the following issues. Limited storage is annoying. The lack of story really takes me out. You don’t feel like you affect the world at all because it’s an MMO, even with the npcs it’s still lifeless. I miss having a companion as well. I’m sure there’s more, I wish I could love this game and it’s a entirety. Edit: I forgot to add that I really enjoy the new movement although somewhat jittery, it feels better than 4. The “new” tab as well as outfits are very nice and should’ve been added to the Fallout 4 Next Gen update.

Laser_3

Have you tried to use the level 20 start feature to jump straight into the questlines that aren't the original main plot? All of those are much closer to the older game's questlines (and honestly, I wouldn't say there's a lack of story anywhere in the game; the original main quest just told it primarily through notes, holotapes and terminals rather than NPCs). As for affecting the world, unfortunately all we can see is the slow progress of change in the world over the course of the updates and the consequences of our actions through changes in instanced locations.

Hellothere6666666666

I’m still working my way up to 20, I am currently 17

melineumg

Can I ask WHAT THE CHRIST is that turkey?

Unhappy_Passage_8823

Thrashers, giant turkeys that have mutated into terror bird-like monsters, they're basically deadly deathclaw sized turkeys

melineumg

Holy shit...either I'm lucky because I've never seen one, or they don't spawn in Appalacha I'm not the brightest about which games are which sorry...

Puzzleheaded_Log9378

They're in the next expansion, Skyline Valley. It's on the PTS and will be released for the rest of us by later this month.

airplanevroom

Are there any other creatures on the PTS?

Internet_Person11

They are also adding pheasants to Shenandoah but for some reason they’re normal sized. It’s nice to finally have birds that are REAL in a fallout game.

melineumg

Wait.... have there been no real bird enemies in fallout? I know some things fly in fallout (mothman, scorchbeasts, stingwings, bloatflies) but is there really no birds?

Internet_Person11

Nope, not unless you count the one owlet creature (The one in picture 7) in fallout 76 that is only seen in one encounter where he is instantly killed. You can’t even fight him either so guess that means he’s not an enemy.

Ms-Gobbledygoo

I think it's a reference to the birds in fallout 4 being institute spies, don't quote me on that though

Bjorn2bwilde24

South Park tried to warn us about mutated turkeys. But we didn't listen!

L0rdCrims0n

For the longest time I read snallygaster as “smellygaster”

TheClassyDegenerate1

Appalachia with FNV's fidelity and game design would have been game of the year. FO76 has the couple of things FO4 did right, but with unique monsters that do more than just take off hp (some can attack AP, slow, disease, etc.), a more RPG-like food buff system, and a variety of killer sci-fi weapons, power armor designs, etc.

zk001guy

New 76 player, I never realized how much i needed big Flying enemies, until I was coming up on Morgantown airport and I saw a LVL 30 scorchbeast at level 10. At that point hiding in the ruins, I realized how weve been needing Flying deathclaws for a while and I just never knew it. I audibly said to myself how was something like this not in fallout 4!

ChazoftheWasteland

The wendigoes, mothmen, snallygasters, and the floaters are all great, and make me wish that some of the gulpers were more...monstrous, like the one in the tv show. I really liked the original centaurs and floaters in Fallout 2, they were gross and horrifying. The mutated animals are fine and all, but the horrible mutants are the icing on the radiation cake.

jervoise

i like em all except the tortoise. moves away from mutant and into pokemon terrirory.

Laser_3

Just like the other cryptids, that one is based on an urban myth. In this case, its the Ogua, which is a giant turtle. In game, its possible that due to its original sighting in-game being in the mire, it was created through the Vault 94 GECK detonation, which released a massive burst of radiation into the surrounding region. Considering this is why gulpers, anglers and fog crawlers are in 76, it wouldn't shock me that it also managed to turn a normal turtle into that.

CodeCody23

No different from a deathclaw.

jervoise

Idk, the fucked up mouth on the deathclaw always gave it a menace that helped it fit in, though it has always been a touch in the fantasy route.

Time-Schedule4240

True, the molemen are my favorite!

MinimumTeacher8996

What I love is that the mothman (if that’s what it’s called, I forget) existed before the war

TheBlackBaron

I'm coming around on 76. I think it's at being Fallout 4 than Fallout 4 is.

DankRiptar

I was a hater of this games when it was announced to be multiplayer. but I have to say when I tried it, the game was pretty good looking, the creature variety is dope , and damn the build mode objects that they add are awesome I wish they'd add some of them to fallout 4 as add ons or som

rickmasters1

I just can’t get into it. Love the map but I don’t like playing multiplayer, and I don’t like the perk system and the world feels so empty. But yes, cryptids are awesome.

500YearOldGhoul

Those are freaking cool!

Hamokk

The cryptids are great fun. I can deal with wendigo but then there is Indrid Cold. I've seen my share of human evil IRL but the smiling man is creepy AF. There have been stories about a creepy stranger from about 1950's IRL. Of course it could have just been a been some random psychopath but almost all the stories go that the man vanished in the mist without a trace. Those hollers and forest hide many things so folk-lore and superstion play a part too.

Remarkable-Cry-3100

I want to get back into it cause its super good. But i dont have any friends on PS4 to play with, all my buddies moved to XBSeriesX when i went PS5

_SpaceGator

Mothman is one of my favorite characters on any video game ever. Also this is why I think Fallout 5 should be in New Orleans. They could really expand on the cryptids theme established in FO76.

Crusader-Kantor

Can’t wait to see Bethesda Wanamingo in game! Hope it’s coming in the skyline update yippie! Also moffman forever!!!

chrisberman410

That fucking wendigo sound makes my butthole pucker.

No-Reply6781

I’m trying it out while it’s on the PSN pass. It’s fun and I'm enjoying it in its current state. That being said, I can see how the game was at launch and am glad I passed during that time.  Also, kinda feels like they over compensated for the emptiness at the beginning and shoved settlers into random spots. It’s also weird doing the initial quest of following the Overseers steps while at the same time having the new missions.

Solar-born

I like how you put an Owlet as the last picture 😂

ClassicGuy2010

My favorite has to be either the Grafton Monster, or the mole miners

Rough-Atmosphere

Chimikin

carguy357

PRAISE THE HOLY MOTHMAN!

Effusus

I don't really like any of these other than the turkey

LUCA-12

Blasphemy against our all-knowing Mothman. Shame on you.

Insanity_Crab

So soon after the bombs dropped and we're seeing some of the most extreme mutations we've had in the series. The lore fan in me struggles to just enjoy the rule of cool sadly.

SirSquire58

Coolest monster designs and the best setting ever. I’d love another “in the mountains” themed fallout just done properly

Exaltthesavior

I was thrilled to see all the enemies based on urban legends. Would love to see more of it in future titles to be honest. They went off with creature design in this game, regardless of how unpopular (deserving or not) it is as a Fallout title.

Gay-Bomb

There should be a mod to bring those monsters on FO4.

Soggy-Worry

The Dead Sea is the salty one, not the Red Sea

JBDBIB_Baerman

Man, if only it weren't an mmo

Korostenetz

2 & 4 look like Witcher 3 monsters

GangGanggame

Damn the hate in here for 76 is still strong, ive played them all, Nv is my fave SP of them and 76 is my fave overall, has a good power creep, and the "grind" is very casual, like, log on do dailies scrip crap leggos roll something, if u get something good sweet if not oh well theres tommorow to try again, and my favorite thing, open trading. So if i get that godroll 2h weapon my melee buddy can just have it, hate games that don't allow you to do such. If you want fallout with friends its 76, im not sure where the "excessive grind" tag is coming from, as its very misleading, it has mmo elements yeah, it being a MMO, im gonna use common sense and think it has those, i mean i do the same exact thing in this game as i do in all FO's there just happen to be other vault dwellers around at times.

[deleted]

Fallout 76 would be a great game if it wasn't designed to make you spend money.

MorningPapers

And you're ignoring the Scorched, which are pretty dang cool on their own. FO76 has a lot of little cool things in it.

mrlolloran

There’s things I liked about it when I played during Covid but it felt a tad too grindy. That and for some reason I tend to find bloodied builds and legacy weapon users annoying although I know why I hate the legacy weapon users. The SBQ dying before you can land a hit on it is some bullshit

LadyDalama

The worst part about people who bash FO76 is that they make stuff up about it that doesn't even exist and use it as a reason to dislike the game. I get not wanting to be forced to play online.. But then claiming there's a feature they force you to do (that doesn't exist) just feels like people are searching for extra reasons to get others to hate the game, or to validate other people's disdain of the game.

Xaxor42

Mothman and Flatwoods are a big reason I regained interest in the series.

clickedbunion2

The mothman is still horrifying to me

Illustrious-Baker775

Hopefully a lot of this variety gets put into 5

Unhappy_Passage_8823

I think some creatures got confirmed to be extinct after the events of 76, but hopefully some get to come back.

invasiveplant

i like the funny mutated opossums :)

WeenieHuttGod2

Can’t wait to get more storage in my laptop so I can install 76 and start playing it, it looks hella fun

McBeer89

Idc what anyone says. Fo76 is good.

WatercressEast488

Are those giant turkeys 👀

PancakeRebellion

owls just look like that

Weneeddietbleach

Did it ever get better about weapons degrading and enemy scaling? I haven't played in forever, but it seemed like I was spending more time repairing my equipment than anything else.

SirSirVI

I like the sloth

Unhappy_Passage_8823

it's sad that it's confirmed the sloths go extinct and won't return in later games. I believe it was said they're literally just too gentle and friendly to survive the harsh wasteland.

_sea_salty

Why was this game controversial again?

Rumplestiltsskins

Very buggy at launch, no npcs and some drama about the low quality collectors edition mostly

imaximus101

Fallout 76 is better than 4 in every way but one. It's an online multi-player game with online multi-player game problems. Before some chuckle fuck tells me I can play solo or on a private server, I know this. It doesn't get rid of the multi-player game problems.

Creativejuice99

I can't agree more, they all look amazing. It just makes me sad they used all their imagination and ideas for monsters in 76. I would have absolutely loved to learn about these monsters in more detail be it in 76 or a singleplayer game. Give me some deep lore on the Grafton monster! Instead it feels like they just plopped all kinds of models in this game with no explanation.

GruncleShaxx

I love the mole men. There design makes me laugh. It isn’t bad it’s just perfect

Dramatic-Treacle3708

Haven’t played yet but: wtf is number 4, Skyrim? And wtf is 5,6,7 Jurassic park? Can someone give me the names of these creatures?

HypnoSmoke

Da heck are the last two?

Environmental-Row-57

I am once again begging for them to release an offline version of this game. I want to play it so bad but I SUCK at playing online. I got murdered to death by a protectron because I used my pipboy trying to find a different weapon and I was too slow.... The game doesn't pause on the pipboy screen :( I am not built for this type of gaming.

Gabo-Kenobi

What's the second photo? Never really got hooked to f76

A55cheek_strangla166

As soon as tod said the game would be online only I completely checked out. So just finding this lil tidbit out

69thalternatesccount

Anyone still "upset" about 76 is has no original thoughts of their own and probably still think it's the same game as the break it early test application.

TheRealPlumbus

Does it add any spiders? I never understood why there no giant mutant spiders in the entire fallout universe. They’d be awesomely terrifying

Nekowulf

Who do you think is controlling everything behind the scenes?

TheRealPlumbus

O shit.

MrPlace

Whoever maintains salt about F76 can get off their high horse and either give the game a chance or just move on entirely from the subject. The game has improved so fucking much. I stopped for a long time as the seasonal grind did not appeal to me for Fallout. Picked it back up, due to the show and everybody talking about Fallout, and man i've been loving it. It's going to be my comfort chill game for a long while now

theoriginal321

It would be really cool if they appear in a real fallout next time

De_Dominator69

Honestly in my opinion the map, enemies and guns are wasted on it. Dont get me wrong I like the game, but whenever I play it I cant help but think "This would have been a hundred times better if it was made from the get go as a proper single player entry"

sleinicke

I wouldn't know. What's the point if it's not single player? I don't play games to socialize.

LadyDalama

There's not much socializing in 76 unless you go out of your way to do it. It's a majority solo experience.

slowpokefarm

I had fun playing it but adding dragons was a bit… too much

LadyDalama

I must be tripping.. What dragons?

Edgy_Robin

Scortch Beasts. Yes they're actually bats and but they're basically skyrim dragons mechanically and it's dumb

GromitGrimp

Nothing to be salty about anymore, 76 rules. New content dropping soon too

THEbiMAKER

This feels like it's stepping on The Witchers toes. Like at what point does it stop being a mutated animal and just become a fantastical creature?

Wrong_Television_224

Now they just need to take all that and stuff it into a single player game. Minus the MMO elements and inconvenience to sell subs, this would be my favorite Fallout game.

sarcastic_sandman

I really want to play the game, but it's not very accessible, I'd need to pay even more in order to even play it because I don't have an online subscription on PlayStation. that, and there's no way to even play the game single player, running into other players in the wasteland would ruin the immersion of the game for me.

Prayerwarrior6640

What’s that in picture 6?(haven’t played in a while)

Technical-Guests

Wait what creatures are screenshot #5 and #6? Where do they spawn?

Unhappy_Passage_8823

Ogua, giant turtle, found in random encounters and the Beasts of Burden event Thrasher, turkeys that are found in the skyline valley

Puzzleheaded_Log9378

The new area of the map, Skyline Valley in the south. It's in the PTS, but not the main game yet.

Penguixxy

Moth mans friend shaped :3

Aeokikit

Th weapons and armor the enemies and the map design made me love it. Still been meaning to platinum trophy it but finding someone to kill 20 times and launching a nuke seemed daunting

BloodiedBlues

Shows I’ve been gone from fo76 for a while. Need to get the money for steam version.

jacobflicks

I’ve beat all the main quests and don’t recall half these monsters lol

N7_Evers

*best monster designs.

Plastic_Bus2662

Bro when did they added pokemons (pic 5) into fallout

seigzeong

I just picked it up I can't wait to see theese

Fresh-kale

You wanna know what’s cool most of the new creatures are animated but ex modders hired by Bethesda thefriedturkey actually made the turkey enemy.

UrbanAssaultGengar

I never thought i’d enjoy an online fallout game but it’s really enjoyable

ForRpUsesOnly

#3 I-Is that Khezu?

Tzetrah

It's cool, really scary, yes. But when I saw it, it felt like it was from TESO or some fantasy with those forests and wilds. Nothing from the apocalypse. And I'm just talking about visual design. Still boring as hell. Replayed it recently, and the game is horrible. Well, ate the very least, for me only

uuuhhhh24

FUCK THE WENDIGO. If that things is in the next fallout game, I'm going to cry in terror

isaacpotter007

Honestly, the scorchbeasts might just be my all time favourite fallout enemies, each one feels like a boss, kind of like a behemoth. I do hope they show up in later games

Tenuem_Aeterna

That bat thing scared the hell outta me

Individual_Papaya596

I wish they would have added some of these to 4, without mods that game feels barren of animals Theres like 2 big and threatening animals and the rest
