Lol.
He looks so fucking dopey. Like the MAD magazine guy.
Nobody ever accused Gambit of being too smart, but that guy looks like he wonders why his legs are wet and warm while pissing himself.
Other than mouth which is similar, literally everything else you listed is different. They could perhaps portray brothers, but they do not look alike other than they're white men. You're blind.
My only complaint is that's thinking in terms of the Fox X-Men where everyone is an adult. Ideally I'd like to follow a group of teens into adulthood. I personally think ~30+ aged mutants should be super rare and should have easily explained reasons for being unheard of previously. That doesn't rule out an adult Gambit, but I feel like it makes it a bit harder to pull off without just shoehorning him into a story like in Origins.
The Fox X-Men movie franchise spans 2 decades and a reboot. Unless Marvel wants to deal with a reboot or otherwise just isn't interested in making as much money as possible for as long as possible, they should start young. Opposed to something like the Avengers, the X-Men are really an ever changing team, and Xaviers school is constantly getting new kids, I could see a young Gambit being a teen constantly in trouble with the law before being sent to the school, in like the 3rd movie.
It’s honestly him in gambit’s character. Southern accent, pet names, distrust. We didn’t get robbed, we got accidentally gifted a great gambit portrayal in live action.

Josh Holloway if older (he was initially cast in origins but was deemed too old)
So what, Remy's combat skills are H2H, staff, and hurling exploding cards. Plus, what the hell is 46 compared to the ages of Denzel, Keanu, and Odinkirk, who were all badass action stars.
I'm not saying that 46 is too old to play an action role, but Denzel, Keanu and Odenkirk play appropriately aged characters.
Gambit is canonically in his 20s, and the top choice for Rogue in this sub when that question was last asked was someone almost seventeen years his junior. Literally a child when True Blood started.
Hmmmm. I see Bishop as a character that needs to be a bit wider build, maybe John Boyega or Jamie Foxx. I could even see Channing Tatum as a solid Bishop.
Gambit (1994)
* Val Kilmer... Gambit
* Lisa Blount... Rogue
* Michael Madsen... Mister Sinister
* written by Kevin Jarre
* directed by George P. Costamos (or should that be Kurt Russell?)
I DO NOT want Channing Tatum to massacre my favorite X Man! It's nice he's a fan too, but he is simply too old, too bulky, round faced, and not a good enough actor. I can get behind Austin Butler and another Austin- Austin North, another choice for me would be Lucas Till they just need darker hair for the role.
https://preview.redd.it/eza6qef6695d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb21a17b12a8018799fd253d7361f73e179bd562
Glen Powell would be an excellent choice. He has the cocky personality and in various ways resembles many aspects to Gambit. Perfect choice
He’s probably a bit older than what they’d want now, but Shane West is talented, a good looking guy, and he’s actually from Baton Rouge (and of Cajun descent).
He still looks good too, I think he’d pull it off if they wanted a Gambit who’s closer to middle age. And I sort of feel like Gambit should be a bit older- he has a history before he joins the X-men as this master thief with contacts around the world. That doesn’t sound like a 20-something to me.
If they want to do an older X men to pair with Hugh's wolvy, Harry Connick Jr might be cool considering he already has the accent and does jazz and could probably naturally pull off the card playing womanizer. or James Landry Hébert who played Wade from 1883.
Younger , I'd say either Philip Daniel Bolden the kid from "Are we there yet?" Or David Lambert from the Fosters. I just personally don't want to hear a false Louisiana accent, I enjoy when they take the time to find authentic accents.
I had the first one with a holographic cover. I miss that comic book. I left it in a rental car as a kid. =(
But, I honestly think Hayden Christensen would make a dope Gambit.
Having been forced to watch True Detective, and looking at pic #3, I don’t know why I can kind of see Matthew McConaughey pulling it off. Maybe not as young as they’d want, but.
\#1. Taylor Kitcsh, so he can be in an X-men movie that isn't atrocious.
\#2. Skeet Ulrich. Ideally we'd get a time machine and grab him right after he does the first Scream movie.
\#3. Austin Butler.
I know he is in his 40s, but I think Justin Hartley could have nailed it.
Today, I’d go with a different but buzz worthy name… Glen Powell.
https://preview.redd.it/bfqnuef6g6ic1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c9d5d296c46c7bc3ef0e26c08f3b2f674923b857
With how they're slow-rolling the mutants, I think it's a good idea to look at the younger side of Hollywood. If Aramis Knight didn't already play Red Dagger in Ms Marvel I'd say him, but hey getting recast in the MCU isn't necessarily anything new.
Austin butler
Came here to say this! He would nail the accent and the swagger!
This right here.
Lol. He looks so fucking dopey. Like the MAD magazine guy. Nobody ever accused Gambit of being too smart, but that guy looks like he wonders why his legs are wet and warm while pissing himself.
He does look like Alfred E. Neumann!
I don’t agree but the last part has me dying lmao
Have you seen him.act ? He's awesome.
Exactly, I don't get the hype for this guy.
YES!!!!!! Love him
Only because he looks exactly like he's a younger brother of Taylor Kitsch.
He doesn't at all... lol
Bro yes they do. [This Imgur post proves it perfectly ](https://imgur.com/gallery/g4S4tgx) (Austin on top and Taylor at the bottom)
Same nose. Same mouth. Same eyes. Same physique. Same dick. Just different ages
Hol' up
👀
Other than mouth which is similar, literally everything else you listed is different. They could perhaps portray brothers, but they do not look alike other than they're white men. You're blind.
Lol

I so think Taylor got robbed. He has sooo much potential with the right production team.
Fingers crossed for Deadpool and Wolverine
That would be so cool
Same. I’d like to still see him get a real try.
I really liked him from the Origins movie. He got screwed
He deserved better for real.
Ian Somerhalder, dude straight up looks the part and was born in Louisiana and is half Cajun
Too old, he’s like 45 now.
He could play older gambit , after all we have Ryan being older Deadpool , and jackman still being wolverine .
Avan Jogia
>Avan Jogia no thanks, he already ruined one of my favorite characters (Leon Kennedy)
Josh Holloway when he was in lost
We were all robbed of this at the time. Such a waste of the perfect possible casting.
It’s honestly him in gambit’s character. Southern accent, pet names, distrust. We didn’t get robbed, we got accidentally gifted a great gambit portrayal in live action.
I prefer your perspective 🫡
Regé Jean-Page.
Me gusta.
Hell yeah especially after DnD
>Regé Jean-Page race swap, no thanks
No one asked for your permission.
For a second my brain lapsed and thought that was the characters real name lol
Maybe Chace Crawford.
Someone actually cajun
Avan Jogia
Austin Butler.
Austin Butler for sure!
Austin Butler
After how he pulled off Elvis, I feel like he could pull off a Cajun accent.
And then he'd just talk like that forever.
Taylor Kitsch still for me
Wallpaper went out in the 80s.
Since Norman Reedus is now too old, Austin Butler.
Reedus would have been a cool casting in Logan as a surviving mutant
https://preview.redd.it/90gkzamfp4ic1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97cca0f63e361bc6c81d1fc2332c33e6d9349832 Josh Holloway if older (he was initially cast in origins but was deemed too old)
Rip Gaspard Ulliel because he would've been my choice, perfect eyes perfect accent
He was my choice too! I had hoped for years he'd get the role. Then his unfortunate accident happened. So sad.
Michael Raymond-James, did a fantastic cajun accent in True Blood
True Blood started 16 years ago. The guy's 46 years old.
So what, Remy's combat skills are H2H, staff, and hurling exploding cards. Plus, what the hell is 46 compared to the ages of Denzel, Keanu, and Odinkirk, who were all badass action stars.

Alden Ehrenreich
Austin Butler
Taraji P Henson
I'd really wanted Betty White before her unfortunate passing but Henson is an absolutely inspired choice!
That would be my most confused boner , and im here for it.
Stephen Manas
Back in day Adrian Paul WAS Remy LeBeau!
Loved him so much in my teens lol
Josh Holloway ![gif](giphy|12um9NPJtxUz4c)
Austin Butler, if he can pull off the Elvis accent no doubt he can figure out Cajun
[Brenton Thwaites](https://www.interviewmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/img-brenton-thwaites_10102154767.jpg)
LaKeith Stanfield
Gene Hackman
Rather see him as Bishop
Hmmmm. I see Bishop as a character that needs to be a bit wider build, maybe John Boyega or Jamie Foxx. I could even see Channing Tatum as a solid Bishop.
Jamie Foxx is a bit old, but those other 2 would be good
Yea. That was the only thing going against Jamie for me. He’s only got a few years left until he casted as an Elder in stuff.
The only real choice for Remy is Theo Von!!
Glen Powell is so annoyingly attractive, he would make a great Gambit based on that alone.
i think he’s better suited for Cyclops for the X-men
He looks like every other typical jock douche.
Taylor Kitsch. I don’t think he got a fair try as origins wolverines was horrendous
Taylor Kitsch is still the original for me
Terry Crews
Madonna
C’mon be realistic
The Olsen twins dressed like Madonna
Perfect
Austin Butler, liked him in Elvis despite the movie not being that good, and really like him in the new Masters of the Air show
Gambit (1994) * Val Kilmer... Gambit * Lisa Blount... Rogue * Michael Madsen... Mister Sinister * written by Kevin Jarre * directed by George P. Costamos (or should that be Kurt Russell?)

Nicholas Cage
Nicolas Cajun
Nick cage lol fuck yes he’s been such a treat lately
Only Channing 😭
I DO NOT want Channing Tatum to massacre my favorite X Man! It's nice he's a fan too, but he is simply too old, too bulky, round faced, and not a good enough actor. I can get behind Austin Butler and another Austin- Austin North, another choice for me would be Lucas Till they just need darker hair for the role.
Josh Holloway or Joe Keery

Corey Feldman
Boyd Holbrook
He’s probably a bit older than what they’d want now, but Shane West is talented, a good looking guy, and he’s actually from Baton Rouge (and of Cajun descent). He still looks good too, I think he’d pull it off if they wanted a Gambit who’s closer to middle age. God I hate him
Louis Garrel
Alex Høgh Anderson Michiel Huisman
Topher Grace. Because he already did a bang-up job as Venom
![gif](giphy|Z6ozPzOyEIaB2) Channing Tatum
Antony Starr
Callum Turner
Dacre Montgomery
That's not a bad choice actually! I can see it.
Kyle Gallner
Jacob Elordi
Tanning Chatum
Charming Taint-um
François Civil https://preview.redd.it/t902lj0ba2ic1.jpeg?width=278&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c094c2febf76789591e956f744f69ca905a9fb8 #
I just saw The Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan and I completely agree with this!
Keenu Reeves
Too old now.
Didn’t look that old in John Wick 4
He is literally 1 year away from being 60 years old. The actor playing Gambit should be young and athletic.
He def looked too old to play Gambit.
Yeah he did
I don't think he could do the accent but I'd be willing to see him try
If they want to do an older X men to pair with Hugh's wolvy, Harry Connick Jr might be cool considering he already has the accent and does jazz and could probably naturally pull off the card playing womanizer. or James Landry Hébert who played Wade from 1883. Taron Egerton
That shrimp?
Yeah 😆
Lol
Daveed Diggs
Tanning Chatum
McConaughey 20 years ago
Glen powell
I had the first one with a holographic cover. I miss that comic book. I left it in a rental car as a kid. =( But, I honestly think Hayden Christensen would make a dope Gambit.
Tanning Chatum
Harris Dickinson
Alan Ritchison a young Jean Claude Van Damme (he'd even have the right accent) Timothy Oliphant
Glen Powell
Jared Padalecki
Orlando Bloom
Having been forced to watch True Detective, and looking at pic #3, I don’t know why I can kind of see Matthew McConaughey pulling it off. Maybe not as young as they’d want, but.
Aidan Turner if older https://preview.redd.it/5k1opnhzo4ic1.jpeg?width=1042&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dfdca478f49569045004bbac256580d53f2d47f9
Karl Urban
Josh Holloway.
The Rock
\#1. Taylor Kitcsh, so he can be in an X-men movie that isn't atrocious. \#2. Skeet Ulrich. Ideally we'd get a time machine and grab him right after he does the first Scream movie. \#3. Austin Butler.
Glenn Powell, Dacre Montgomery, Hunter Burke
Vincent Cassel would be interesting
Efron imo
Chris Evans
Steven from stranger things
Bradley Cooper or John Cena
Shia Lebouf
https://preview.redd.it/4bc74k3hn2ic1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7d05429634f782aa82f789fdf6afc02d9e0c2583
Gosling
Adam Driver - he can be super funny in the right stuff like this
Thought Channing Tatum was cast as gambit think that is perfect
Idk but I want a real French guy.
Young Keanu Reeves
an actually french dude.
Gambit is American. A Cajun from New Orleans, not a French Man.
Theo Von
Vincent Cassel
Alan Ritchson as Batman as Gambit. Or Scarlett Johansen.
Austin Butler
Nicholas Bordelon. He has the look and is actually cajun
If he wasnt already Quicksilver, Evan Peters
Dacre Montgomery
Theo Von
My name Jeff * tosses cards *
I know he is in his 40s, but I think Justin Hartley could have nailed it. Today, I’d go with a different but buzz worthy name… Glen Powell. https://preview.redd.it/bfqnuef6g6ic1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c9d5d296c46c7bc3ef0e26c08f3b2f674923b857
Adam Sandler as the waterboy as Gambit
With how they're slow-rolling the mutants, I think it's a good idea to look at the younger side of Hollywood. If Aramis Knight didn't already play Red Dagger in Ms Marvel I'd say him, but hey getting recast in the MCU isn't necessarily anything new.
Bobby Boucher
Harry Connick Jr if marvel had gotten there is together 20 years ago
Just because he's from New Orleans? Cuz he sure as hell doesn't look right for the part on any level.
We’ve waited so long why not have an older actor
Luke Hemsworth
Austin butler is great, but lakieth steinfeld has the it factor for gambit
Regé-Jean Page
Ian Somerhalder
I'm late to this thread and this might be an odd choice but Pablo Schreiber?
